“ nope I am not going anywhere today ” replied Astrid.

“ hasn’t it been three years since your granny died ? and your still moaning over her death? Man you should move on” said Kat.

“ yeah Astrid! Never Stop yourself from being happy just because of some unfortunate matters” said Neoul in her sweet voice.

“Its hard to admit it..but what Neoul said was true and you should try to move on” said Kat patting Astrid’s shoulder.

“Aah… I hate it when you guys are right , I guess I could hop on with you guys then maybe after the party do you guys wanna join my family dinner?” asked Astrid.

“ I’ll join you, as I don’t have my night shift today at the café. Cause tonight its party!!” said Kat with great joy.

Suddenly Eva and George rushed into the classroom gasping for breath.

“ Woh! Why are you guys running ?” asked Neoul as everyone turned towards them.

“ I don’t know, Eva ran so I too ran with her “ said George with a confused look.

“ Realy George? I thought finally you understood something that is going on in this college” said Eva with an annoyed look.

George rubbed the back of his head with a nervous smile.

Eva and George were Astrid’s school friends who are now her college friends too. Astrid knew Neoul, George and Eva for 8 years. And Kat for 10 years as Kat lived near Astrid’s home when she was little and studied in a different school. The five used to play together during summer holidays and now Astrid , Neoul and Kat moved in to a place near to the college where as Eva and George stayed at the college hostel.

“ Its Jin! He is going to the party with his new girlfriend” exclaimed Eva looking at Astrid.

“ wait..didn’t he dump Astrid like few months ago and now he has a new girlfriend??? Mm… quiet impressive” said George who seemed to be in a deep thought looking at the ceiling with his mouth wide open. “ but wait.. are you sure that’s his girlfriend?” said George with a confused look.

“ George, didn’t we both see the way he was snuggling her down the hall?” asked Eva.

“ I didn’t recognise him though, with that girls face all over his face, it was difficult to spot him out” said George.

“ but how do you guys know he is going to the party” asked Astrid with a sad look.

“ well it was after filling their names in the form they… you know..started kissing” said Eva.

Jin and Astrid started dating few months ago and broke up few weeks later. Jin always wanted to maintain a cool face to his gang, so he would always change girlfriends and acted like a playboy. well this behaviour started a year ago . nobody knew it but rumours are that he was both physically and mentally abused by his parents. But nobody knew the real reason.

“ Kat I am not coming to the party” replied Astrid with a worried face.

“ hey its okay ass! Don’t worry” said George in a sarcastic tone. *(ass is a funny nick name given to astrid)*

“ I told you to stop calling me that George!” shouted Astrid.

“ my bad” said George with a funny face.

“ hey Astrid don’t be such a pain in ass. We want you to be there in the party so stop being all whiney and come to the party” said Eva in anger.

“ okay.. okay.. calm down Eva let me think about it” replied Astrid in a nervous voice.

The bell rang. It was professor Stalkings botany class. They walked to their seats.

“ I hate playboys, but I never thought Jin was one of them!” said Neoul with anger as she sat in her seat which was right beside kat’s.

“that’s quiet a surprise cause I thought he liked guys” said Kat.

“WHAAT? How do you know that” asked Neoul with a great gasp.

“we went to the same school, me and Jin. Well there were rumours going on that he was gay but I didn’t know if that was true. But when he started dating Astrid I thought maybe he was not gay. Well I am not quiet yet sure though” replied Kat.

“ wait you knew that he might be  gay and still you didn’t tell anything to Astrid?” asked Neoul with a suspicious look.

“ wait.. I told you I was not sure about it! Don’t you trust me?” replied kat

And yes both started a fight as usual.

Class started, Astrid was not able to concentrate on class. Professor Stalking was a 70 year old guy, he took the class in a low and trembling voice. Poor old guy , he never knows what really happens in the class.

Astrid remembers what she promised herself this morning ,she wanted to be happy but these things took a swirl of her emotions.
