“What are you making?” I asked John, still watching him move around the kitchen seamlessly.

“Relax boys. I’m just messing with you. You guys are really possessive aren’t you?” He chuckled to himself. I did not appreciate the joke. I turned to Theo to see his reaction. He looked irritated too.

“Johnathan. You are our mate. While I respect the fact that you are not a piece of property to be owned, you belong to us now. When we think there's a threat we react accordingly. You talking about keeping men is a threat to our mating bond.” Theo said, and I could feel the anger boiling from him. I gently place my hand on top of his to help calm him, and I seemed to have helped a little.

“Theodore. How many men have I brought to my home?” John finally turned around, tongs in hand still, making eye contact with Theo. It was a bold move to challenge an Alpha like this, but John isn’t a wolf, so he doesn’t know better. But I felt Theo’s tense body considerably loosen up right away.

“Look, I still have a lot to learn, but I do understand that this bond is sacred to you.” John said stepping closer to the other side of the island. “Just because I’m human, doesn’t mean I haven’t felt it. Sure it’s different for me, but it’s still there. I have never brought another man to my home, and I’ve never cooked for another man. “Wow.” I said.

“What?” John asked as he turned back to making our dinner.

“I’ve never seen anyone put Theo in his place before.” Theo growled aggressively at me. It caused me to retract my hand from his in fear.

“Knock it off before I send you home.” John said without turning to face us.

“What he said was a rude comment towards his Alpha.” Theo responded angrily.

“In MY house, YOU are not Alpha and Beta. You are Theo and Jason. Two men who are trying to court me. So you can leave that BS at the door.” John said in a dominating voice.

“Then we just won't hang out here anymore.” Theo mumbled, still very clearly upset with me.

“Don’t think I wont deal with that comment when we get back to the pack house.” Theo’s voice came through my thoughts, sounding every bit as angry as I could see he was.

“That’s fine, you don’t have to come over. Jason and I can work on mending our relationship while you sulk by yourself.” John really wasn’t having any of the Alpha dominance in Theo.

“Rude.” Theo said, clearly sulking now.

“Sorry.” I said in a low tone to Theo.

“Don’t you apologize. He’s being a dick and he knows it.” John said, glancing back at me for a split second.

“John that’s enough.” Theo commanded.

“Then knock it off. You’re not the macho Alpha in my house. You know damn well what will happen if you keep that shit up.” John said in a threating tone. Theo’s eyes went wide, and his face turned bright red. This escalated so quickly. But it was clear that there was more than just a threat in the comment. I couldn’t figure out what he meant though.

“Ask. I’m curious about Theo’s reaction, so I need to know.” Geri said.

“What does that mean?” I asked. John snorted.

“I’ll let Theo tell you.” He said, sounding amused now. What the hell is happening.

Theo turned his face away from me, but Geri probed his mind before Theo blocked us and all I could see was images of Theo tied to the bed, completely naked.
