He had a long way to go to the village. They ran all the way here. He grabbed each tree to make his walk easier and found a stick that he also used. He felt a little dizzy, but he kept going. He knew if he stopped he would fall asleep safely. Slightly his hearing returned and he could hear something always circling around him, but he didn't want to get close. He laughed a little at this and kept walking. He thinks he crossed most of the way because he could hear yelling and crying in the village. It wasn't long before he saw the walls of the village, the top of which was now broken off near the gate. He leaned against the door, which had freshly dried blood on it, and pounded his fist on it a couple of times. He could hear Mrkan's merry whimper and someone shouted to help him open the door. They opened the door on which he was leaning and he did not have the strength to get to his feet better and he fell. Before he fell to the floor beneath him, Mrkan was created, licking him with happiness.
"Good boy, I see you looked after the village as I told you."
Goran came quickly and kicked him to his feet and was stunned to see his head at the end of the chain. He grabbed him by the arm and helped him walk.
"Are you all right, Mr. Akar?"
"Yes, I'm just tired."
"Have you seen Bogdan, we've been looking for him all day, we really hope he's sleepy again, but we're more and more afraid that the same thing happened to him as it did to Maria and Dalibor."
"He passed away while fighting the monster."
"I PRAY!?"
When he said that, Goran pushed Akar away from him and started yelling at him:
"HOW COULD YOU ALLOW IT TO HAPPEN ?!"
"I did everything I could."
“YOU MADE A DICK! IF YOU DID EVERYTHING YOU COULD, HE WOULD BE HERE WITH YOU! ”
Goran was furious and clenched his fists and started hitting Akar, but Akar hit him under the jaw, which surely broke. Goran fell to the floor unconscious.
"I did my job, if you don't like it, it's really not my problem."
He kept walking and all the villagers avoided him because they saw what had just happened to Goran. He passed through the village and saw the ruin of the house that used to be Bogdan's. Beside her were now four bodies wrapped in various rags. >I told them to get out of the way, and they didn't listen.< A little farther from her there was a knock on the door and the chief opened the door and let him in. Akar showed him his head and demanded a salary, and the chief told him:
"Speaking of salaries, we could not collect all twenty thalers, only fourteen. But don't worry, we can give you two more bags of rye. ”
"Just let me get out of here."
“Great! Woman, bring those two bags! ”
He gave him fourteen very sparse silver coins and the woman gave him two honestly small bags. It was tense to say that there was a kilo and a half of rye in each. He thanked and left. Outside, Mrkan growled at a crowd of villagers who had everything that could be used as a weapon. >Ah, typical.<
Get out of our village! We don't want you here, killer! How could you make a monster one! Freak!
Lots of similar insults and threats were yelled at. Akar calmed Mrkan and they slowly went out. He felt everything being thrown at them and everything being thrown at them as they spoke insults. He didn’t want to react at all and just walked out of the village. He could hear the merry cries of the villagers, as if they had saved the whole village. He didn't care, he was just tired. He rode Mrkan and they headed north. He rode for a while and the sun slowly began to rise so they stopped. They made a small camp and lit a fire, put a pot from Mrkan's bag and water in it to boil. Akar was going to put on rye, when he saw that it was dark brown. > Of course it's rotten. What I expected.
"It should last until the morning. Now we can get some sleep. ”
The sun had set and a crack of stone could be heard, a heavy walk. Around them all the walkers woke up and passed around them in a great arc. "At least there aren't any big ones here, you can barely sleep." Akar sat down and leaned against a tree and Mrkan put his head on his feet and they both fell asleep.
“Oi! Oh stranger! If you’re good, you don’t look your best. Do you need help ?! We are Hospitallers of the Church of the Fire of Purity, so we can help you! ”
They annoyed him a little, but when he heard that name he opened his eyes the same second and saw four men, dressed in iron armor covering their whole body, in some places a chain armor protruding, as on the wrists, under the helmet, under the arms and on the armpits. Over that they wore black shirts with a white sign. With a sign he will never be able to forget and which he will never forgive. Two hands holding the flame. The three of them rode brown ponies, while the fourth got off his and took off his helmet. He must be barely twenty years old and approaching him. Akar immediately jumped to his feet and calmed Mrkan. He still had a sore hip, but so much so that he could simply ignore it.
"And it's nothing to you. Sorry sir for the inconvenience then. But speaking of which, do you know perhaps where the village of Lavander is. They called for help and we went to help them, but we got lost and …… ”
He didn't listen, he didn't care. He just looked at that sign on his chest. >I still seem to be lucky today.< In the middle of his speech, Akar drew his sword and his head fell to the ground. Others were stunned and before they could react, Akar sunk the helmet with the chain on the other. He fell off his horse and did not move. The others jumped off their horses, drew their swords and shields and attacked Akar. The first went to strike him with a sword from the side. Akar parried his blow and slipped his sword to the other side. He made a turn to the opposite side and plunged into the sword between the helmet and the armor. He drew his sword, and the last went to stab him, and he moved to the side, and as soon as the sword was missed, he grabbed his left hand with which he held the sword. The hospitalist tried with all his might to free his hand, but he couldn't. Akar stabbed his sword under his armpit with his right hand, toward his heart. He drew his sword and the Hospitaller fell dead. Yes he was really lucky today.
