The water was warm around my body, it allowed me to relax fully. Archer pulled my back closer to his chest and sighed in content. I leaned into his touch and closed my eyes.

We stayed like that until my stomach started to grumble. "We should probably get out." Archer chuckled.

'But I haven't even washed myself yet.'

"Would you like me to wash you?"

'No.'

Archer raised his eyebrows at me.

'...Yes, please.'

He chuckled and started by washing my arms. He then moved down to my torso.

"Please wash your lower body by yourself." He said.

I complied, and washed the lower parts of my body. I was startled when I felt warm hands sliding through my hair. Archer scrubbed my hair clean of sweat and dirt, making me feel nice and fresh.

After the bath, we had dinner. Archer opened one of the containers we had been supplied with this month. It wasn't anything special, some rice, eggs, and meat. A bit of vegetables too. But it was to help us with getting the right stuff into our bodies. 

Most families don't go outside unless it's necessary, so we get supplied with pre-organised meals, but if you really want to have something special, you'd have to go out and buy it.

Archer told me to heat up the rice, while he fried the eggs and the meat. A wonderful smell filled our apartment, it was calming? Not quite like home... But calming.

We finished cooking and put our plated out meals. We sat on the ground in the living area, and spoke about stupid things, like we usually do.

My eyes kept darting down to my left arm. I wondered if I'd ever get the pleasure of bearing Archers beautiful pattern, or if he'd have mine.

I felt a hand caress my arm soothingly, and soft lips kiss my forehead.

"Time for bed." Archer yawned. I followed him into our bedroom, and laid down on my side of the bed. I didn't want to sleep, I'd only be brought back to that place. The place I try so hard to forget.

But if course, the darkness consumed me once more.
