SCARLET [POV] :

What is he doing here, in my apartment building? "Are you following me, sir?! I never saw you in this building and yet here you are, bumping into me, again!" I said while screaming at him.
Is he out of his mind?! Wait.. is he doing what I think he's doing?!

"Hey.. are you trying to kidnap me?! A 22 year old woman that isn't even married and lives with her mom?! I bet you're trying to do something to me!" I said while trying to pull something offensive and scary out of my bag.

I finally found a.. a pen?! Have to work with what I've got, at the moment. I pointed the pen at him and took a defensive stance that I learned from Peter.

Peter is my gym coach and he's like a brother to me. I forgot to mention that me and Peter knew each other since high school. No time to think about that, right now, though! 

"Ummm.. are you trying to offend me with that cheap and ugly pen? Really? If you are, it isn't working at all. And who the hell kidnaps a woman like you?! You're crazy!" he said while looking at me with a face.

"No, I'm not crazy! You are, y-you.. you bastard!" I said while stammering in the middle of my sentence

What the hell was I doing, stammering in front of a kidnapper?! 

"You're literally stammering in front of me, you crazy woman. I'm very sorry if I bothered you, what so ever, ma'am. You may go now." he said very politely to the other woman who bought him here.

I am very surprised by his actions I thought he would scream at her and tell her to mind her own business. I guess he's kind but it doesn't make him a gentleman.

ELIJAH [POV] :

Is this really the woman I came here to meet?! I guess I saw it coming the moment I saw her running in the streets with a bowl of cereal.

I can't even believe she tried to offend me with a pen. A cheap and ugly one in fact. She's definitely the crazy and weird type. 

"I don't know if this thought came by your mind but I really think I've seen you somewhere but I'm not sure. I think my father and your mother used to have some kind of weird relation with each other." I said while trying to find some clues from her. 

"You too?! Then this is indeed weird. I never actually thought about making some research on my mom's past.." she said.

She paused for a moment and started again. "She told me that my father died from a car accident when she was pregnant with me. Now that I think about It, I never saw a picture of my father in my house." she said. 

This is getting real interesting, right now. Neither her mother and my father have any photo of their ex in their house? This is getting somewhere but I'm not able to determine where.

"I'm sorry but I have to leave for work. Maybe you can call me later on?" she said while looking at her watch. She hands out her hand so she could give me her phone number. Right after getting her phone number, she quickly hands over the phone and starts running toawrds the elevator. She turns around and runs ran backwards, towards the elevator, smiling and waving at me.

"Alright, I'll text you the address later. Bye!" I said. She was going towards the elevator where i came from. 

I shouldn't have said my farewells because I was going to go there, as well.
Damn, I'm an Idiot. It would be awkward and embarassing If we meet again when I just told her that I was going. She left and the elevator was already heading downstairs. 

There was the head of a young girl sticking out of an apartment door. "Umm.. hello? Do you need something?" I said while walking towards her.

She seemed surprised because she turned her head back around, immediately. I stopped mid-way since she seemed scared. She slowly looked towards me, once again. 

This time she wanted to make sure I wouldn't hurt her. "You know big sis Scarlet?" she asked.

 Big sis Scarlet?! Her mother found a new lover? She stopped my thinking in an instant like she knew what I was thinking. 

"Don't worry. I only call her like that because she takes care of my sister's medical bills. In fact, she pays the medical bills of the majority of the people on this floor. Poor woman. She has her own medical bills and yet.." she said while looking depressed. 

"Hey! Don't worry about that. Scarlet is a very kind and selfless woman. That's why she does this so don't blame it on yourself nor the others, all right?" I said while patting her head slowly. 

"R-right.. I'll try my very best!" she said while looking at me confidently. Those eyes.. only If I had that kind of confidence against my father when I was a young kid, as well. 

Why did I say that about Scarlet? I don't even know her!

SCARLET [POV] :

Hmm.. Why would he be following me around in the first place? Is there something he needs to tell me? Does he intend to do something? Bad or right? Legal or illegal? 

I have too much in my mind! I only met him once then why do I have the feeling that I saw him somewhere? This isn't making any sense, at the moment.. ''Earth to Scarlet'' said my boss. Technically, she's my second boss. 

I work at Louis Vuitton, thanks to my her, my childhood best friend. She's always been there for me but now, she ended up becoming my boss and the manager of a famous shop. She's always wanted to be an Instagram model and now, she's working hard for it. 

Unlike me, she works hard to make her dreams come true. "Yes, Miss Elsy. I just spaced out for a bit.." I said.

''Hey, you alright, bestie? And how many times have I told you not to call me by my family name?'' she said while giving me a pouty face. 

''I'm alright, Mimi, and stop acting like a child. I'm trying to be respectful because you're my boss. Humpf.. you really are ungrateful, just like your brother told me.'' I told her by showing her my tongue. 

''Says the one who's in love with my brother'' she said. She looked at me with a face and pursued. ''You love him~ Ain't hiding anything from your bestie. I know your secret'' she said while snickering.

''No offense, but you looked like a pervert when you said that to me. I don't like him.. he's your brother, Mimi. The brother of a crazy girl that I eventually became best friends with. This is an actual miracle, to be honest.'' I said, considering my past actions. 

I, sometimes, wonder how I even became friends with her in the first place. Meh, I don't care. It's too late, anyways. I became friends with her and can't seem to stop clinging to each other, ever since we were kids. 

She helped me stand up to my bullies and was my only friend, at school. She didn't have a lot of friends, either, because everyone thought she wanted to have attention. It was quite the opposite, in fact.

''Earth to Scar, again. Why do you keep spacing out like that? You're making me worried..'' she said while looking down. 

''Hey, hey.. Nothing to be worried. I'm healthy and strong, alright? It's just that.. I met a man today an-'' I said before getting cut by her expression.

''You love a man, don't you? I thought you loved my brother and got excited. You just met him, Scar. Don't do those stupid « Love at first sight » thing that people do. When you notice he isn't the one, you'll come crying back to me, I'm telling you.'' she screamed while making a weird grin. 

She really loves to cut my sentence, doesn't she..? 

That's the one thing I do NOT like about Mia. Assuming stuff before I could even explain. She cuts my sentence, then makes out a story, out of the blue. Why does she have to do that? It's getting on my last nerves.. 

I explained everything that happened from where i started the day to where I bumped into him at my appartement. I lost my breath and decided to take a nap. Everything went back to the usual stuff that happens everyday to me.

After working, I bid my farewells to Mia and went home. I texted Elijah and told him that I finished work. He texted me to come meet him by the park at 7 o'clock. I agreed and went towards the bus stop. I had to go home to take care of my mom.

Is there something that he wants to tell me? Ask me? Speak of?
