Beatrice’s pov

Oh. My. God.

I've heard stories about earth but I never expected it to be like this

"Wow" I whispered, I was in awe as I admired my new surroundings

"Welcome to California" Olivia smiles

Skyscrapers saturated the city

Palm trees danced in the wind

The sky was baby blue

I held my head out the window, feeling the California wind upon my skin

A few humans on the street happily waved, the rest went along with their busy day

We drove for a few minutes, I took every second to admire the city

The car came to a halt, we all existed. My jaw dropped at the house before me

"Are you fucking kidding me" I questioned

"Your father loves to make you comfortable," Olivia chuckles. AGH I love my father

It took 3 minutes to even reach the door, the driver brought my suitcase in, my hands ran along the spine of the staircase

Everything was so.. Bright,I guess you say, is accustomed to medieval black and white.

This was a different taste to my palate

"Aren't you going to pick a room" Olivia asks, immediately I ran upstairs

Whoa.

Obviously I had to jump and land face first on that bed

Who wouldn't?"Olivia! Join me!" I yelled, Olivia came into the room looking dissatisfied with my behavior. Let me live!

"Oh don't look at me like that" I groaned

"You won't be having maids, you'll need to clean up after yourself" she says

"Not a problem, come join meee" I pleaded, she gave in and sat on the bed

"Seriously? You're no fun" I narrowed my eyes at her

"I have to start working on your documents for school tomorrow, you'll be joining late, you'll be a 17 year old that has been homeschooled all of her life" Olivia says

"Great, now get your boring ass out my room so I can actually bring someone fun in here" I shooed her away, she rolled her eyes and left

"Lilyiiiiiii" I yelled staring into the mirror

"Beatriceaa! Are you here?" she asks

"I'm actually just a few houses away from you" I chuckled

"Open your window" she says. The best thing about being the daughter of Dracula was the powers, Lily was incredibly fast, just a little slower than sound itself. She could also fly and get into someone's head

Once she hypnotized one of our maids, Lily's eyes turned slightly red, as words left her lips, the maid did what she was told.

We were having a sleepover just a few years ago. It was kinda getting boring so she showed me her new ability she finally got to control. The poor maid was her first victim.

Lily's eyes pierced through the maids'.  Lily's pupils were full blown black, the maid looked trapped under her spell. Lily whispered "Shave your head" and the poor woman did so.She grabbed the scissors and began snipping chucks of her blonde hair off. I was left stunned, the maid's eyes were also black, I assume because of the spell. Lily chuckled and called off the spell, the maid was left standing there with half her hair in her hand and a scissors in the other.The woman ran out the room and was never the same. Not gonna lie, she needed a haircut.

"Finally you're here bitch" I rolled my eyes at the girl standing outside my window.

"Sorry, I got caught up with my shoes"

"Did you forget left from right again?"

"Don't say that outloud! Someone might hear you!" I chuckled at her

"There's no one here, I have the entire top floor for myself"

"What about Stefan and Olivia?"

"They took the rooms downstairs" she nodded

"I missed you so much, it's been... 2 days since we last saw each other yeah" she chuckled

"Anywho, welcome to earth!" she yells excitedly

"Thank you, thank you, it's so beautiful, the auroma, the people, they're all so gorgeous" I smile

"Wait till you meet Bella"

"What's that?"

"Much more a who, she's stunning but the personality is a bitch"

"Bitches walk on earth?"

"Oh hunny, you have no idea"

"Is there anything else I need to know?" she smiled before answering

"There's tons, but for now let's just relax. I'll help you unpack

"We spent 3 hours goofing around and unpacking, there was a point when Lily literally tried on my underwear over her clothes

"Let's get pizza" Lily says

"What's pizza?" her eyes went wide

"You'll love it" she smiled "It's basically pastry with a lot of cheese and meat". Here goes nothing

I fucking love pizza.Who invented this!?Give that man a medal

My eyes almost rolled back as I devoured the cheesy pastry. It felt like my tastebuds were having a party on my tongue and I was living for it.

"When are you starting school?" Lily asks, we were currently on my bed. She sat Criss cross facing me while I laid on my stomach devouring the triangular slice of heaven

"I guess I'll be there tomorrow"

"And I'll be waiting for you right outside," she smiles.

"What's it like living here?" I asked

"It's pretty chill for me, I mean.. I have an advantage since Dracula owns the most trustworthy insurance company the city has to offer. I basically have the mansion to myself, a gorgeous car. It's not usually the same for most of the kids there.. Everyone works hard for what they have, I'm just fortunate enough to have these stuff" she smiles weakly

"It's bearable when you have the right person to experience life with" she adds, I nodded

"What about relationships?" I asked her curiously, she smirked

"Oh come on, you really think I wouldn't have already told you if I was with someone?" she chuckled

"I'm just asking, sometimes people like to keep some things private" she sighed

"I wish I could be with someone, my father says it's Forbidden. It's bullshit. Why can't I be with someone I choose? Human or not." she rolled her eyes

"I didn't know it was that serious" I said, she chuckled

"But it doesn't stop me" she laughed"What Dracula doesn't know won't kill him" she smirked

"You're honestly fucking incredible" I chuckled throwing a crust at her.  Suddenly there was a vibration on the bed.

I swore the batteries died on that toy.

"My dad's calling me" Lily said pulling a rectangular box from her pocket

"What's that?" I asked watching her put the object to her ear

"A phone" she says before speaking into the box
