"Huh," I thought when I suddenly woke up. It was black, pitch-black. I was swimming in darkness. Die? did I die if so, this is death. What about my family, my friends, everyone...I felt as if a skeleton hand could anytime sneak up on me and grab me...My greatest sadness was that now I was dead I could never get to read the newest chapter release of the super-popular comic I think its name was Hero Summoning?

The moment I thought that exact sentence "Hero Summoning" I heard a metallic voice filling my head:

And again the voice said number's, but this time it jumped from 803.6% to 29.08% and said more number's at a time and faster too. Moments went by. I had lost my perception of time everything was dark and quiet.

I saw ghostly images of family and friends passed in front of my eyes, my mother's sapphire blue eyes, my dad's weird jokes, and Alex's death stare and not to forget my little sister... My sister's warm smile and her tight and loving hugs.

As those thoughts came to mind, I forgot everything. I recalled all the wonderful memories we had shared.

Then a thought came to mind, Am I going crazy this voice in my mind reminds me of something but I can't put my finger around it. But It's something with fantasy I'm sure of it, I'm going crazy while dead. If someone was going to make a novel about this, the title will surely be "I went crazy while I was dead,"

Someone, please get me out of death, If I could cry I would have already cried as much as a river. My mind wandered off to the thought of 'Hero Summoning.' I had really become addicted to that story. But that's how it was for everyone. If you find a pleasant story, you become addicted and follow along till the end and then find another story to enjoy.

A few quick seconds went by before I spoke "At long last, the voice is quiet," but that's when what the voice had been saying struck me "System, assimilation, data?" I said in a whisper.

Soon I felt my body being sucked towards something in the darkness, that's when I saw a purple-glowing-magic circle. They had those circles in anime and comics, and before I could even react, I was standing in a purple-glowing-magic circle. But at the same moment, I realized I wasn't any more dead; I was in a castle, and this castle looked much like the castle in the comic, no I mean it is the castle from the comic. What the hell? I thought to myself.

That's when I realized the person in front of me, and that person was the same person who summoned the hero Dave in the comic. It was Necromancer Elaine "Greetings, the O noble hero I apologize for summoning you on such short notice my name is Elaine Lionheart. We need your help to go against war with the demon king," she said "drop, the nonchalant showmanship. It's pretty cringing"

I blurted

Before I was something I never thought possible to see and, but this is a fantasy world. After all, I already knew that she or the 'system' had summoned me from death, a somehow reincarnation, what I saw was...A status window.

I'm living but dead, or something similar.

What the heck, I thought. I was just dead and got reincarnated or summoned I should be happy but, I couldn't stop shaking. Experiencing death was traumatic and experiencing it again was not something I would like to. I'll have to train to survive, fight to survive that's what my mind was saying.

Weird, I thought to myself, there weren't conditions like this for the hero in the comic. The hero in the comic never died before he got. I felt a drop of cold sweat run trickle down my face; I had been resurrected or summoned somehow, but traumatic events of *death* were still there. I could recall me swimming in darkness and it of nowhere hear that system voice.

I felt myself go dizzy, so I couldn't even be called human now. System Holder, I didn't know what that meant, but average humans are around this strong by default, and I'm pretty smart. The B± I got on the test wasn't hard luck, this confirms it.I was happy but

"Sir Hero?"

"Oh yes, sorry I was just surprised that something like this could happen, Summoned Into Another World you know," I said "Okay, the king is expecting you. Please follow me," the necromancer answered.

I followed her to the king's hall. The walls were blue and the vast windows were decorated with red curtains; they were pillars that were placed beside the windows, and two guards were standing in front of the throne with each their spears in their hands. There were guards lined up with spears, too.

The king currently sat on his throne. Standing next to him was a woman I assumed to be the queen. I bowed respectfully as I thought I was supposed to, and the king smiled down at me

"Noble hero we thank you for cooperating with us, I assume Lady Elaine has told you your task," the king said, It's not that I have any choice "Yes your majesty, I have been told that the Demon King has appeared. And you need my help," I answered politely.

The king must have noticed something was wrong

"That is correct. I assume you would like to get used to the environment here, eat, or maybe even rest a bit. Lady Elaine shall escort you to your room or wherever you would like to go, "

"Yes, your majesty"

What a nice king. I thought the people living in his kingdom must be pleased with him. And he wasn't phat he actually had a pretty good physique and his military-style hair was better than mine.

By the time Elaine and I were on our way to my room, Elaine stopped walking and questioned "Um, Sir Hero, how do you plan on taking on the Demon King It's said that he has significant power" I looked seriously into her eyes and answered "The easiest way to do that is to train, train and train" I said now looking through the window. Damn, I wanted this to be a badass answer, but I sound like some training addict.

"Elaine?" I asked 'Yes'

"How did the Demon King appear, what is his origin?"

After finishing reading the synopsis the screen soon went over to my stats

Weird incidents are happening, people are dying in special ways it's happening slowly, and we have traced traces of very black and malicious mana from those people. If you get stronger, you'll probably get more information, you are the Hero tho" Elaine said answering my question

I don't feel any smarter. What Is this category: INTELLIGENCE'S purpose off? I don't feel smarter I thought.

"Thanks anyway, please show me the way to the training room,-- or actually no. Do you think we could go buy equipment, we can take carriages to get there faster I assume there aren't cars here," I answered.

"But Sir Hero wouldn't you like to see your room first, and what is a car?"

"Nope, my room is not important first I need good equipment," I mentioned

If someone moved to a new house off-course, they would like to see their room first, but not this time, Its time to shop for equipment.

"Equipment? wouldn't you at least like to see your room first, Sir Hero"

"I'll see my room later, so now I need equipment, lets go lead the way, El," I said.

"El?" she asked, confused, huh I thought. They don't even give each other nicknames in this world. I probably confused her a little when I said 'nope'

"You don't like it," I asked "No, It's fine," she answered bluntly

When we arrived at the equipment shop 'Elaine' mentioned was 'legendary'.

This place looked like those snobby equipment stores in comics and anime where the person who owns the shop's equipment bragging that the equipment is A-class or B-class. My knowledge of fantasy was very handy, and from my knowledge, I knew I was right. Not that an A-class armor or B-class sword were bad items.

It was just the fact just that there are species far better in weapon crafting than humans and the best out of all species in crafting. The... Dwarves. My knowledge of fantasy was really handy. It was like my cheat.
