I was no fool, fighting him hand to hand was a fool's mistake. I quickly encased myself in rock using magic by hardening the sand, except for a small hole in the top I shot fire through to burn down the tent, before closing the rock barricade. I waited and for a moment there was silence before I heard a scrape on the rock behind me. I quickly turned to face where the sound had come from and shot half the rock barricade at the pathetic excuse of an assailant.

Of course exposing myself was not an option so I quickly teleported upward by forty feet to see the condition of my foes. Two of the assassins seem to have been killed by my attack, and as Cyanide said to me all my knights were dead, five assassins still stood, however; Cyanide himself was nowhere to be seen.

I teleported to the ground at a distance from my foes to smite them down with my electricity magic, but felt a presence and leapt to my right, slashing what was behind me with my sword. It was another assailant. Unfortunately that was not the only one as two dozen soon emerged from the sand all around the tent and me. And Cyanide had now come out the smoldering ash that was once the tent

 “Well my friend this is a shame, I didn’t wish to kill you, I just needed you alone to talk.” He said for once a smile not on his face. But I am no fool his plans are not any I want involved in. 

“Cyanide when the people of the world hear about this disgraceful attack on me and my people, you will pay!” I shouted, my voice raised and my tone furious.

“My my Oxide, when did you care for revenge? I thought demons were better than that, they would need to be if Xai truly wanted to be your bride.” He mocked, a sarcastic remark to make me go on the offensive. As a response I used the lightning spell I had tried using earlier on five of the assassins closest to me. “If you think you can make me rush you, then you’re more foolish than I thought. So why not stop playing and take this seriously.” I said as I was aware these assassins were all human, the only other magic using race, but none of them have even tried.

“I see you’ve caught on, yes? Fine then but don’t get upset.” He said as I felt a tremble beneath my feet.

Quickly I teleported and got away just in time as I saw a large serpent of hardened sand rise then slam it’s jaws shut, before opening them again and lunging at me. But this time I was prepared and fired two large fireballs at it, turning it back to dust. Then I continued my assault. A single moment of hesitation could mean disaster. I teleported behind one of the assassins, slashing them in half with my sword. Then ducked as an arrow flew by my head, I teleported to a spot in between four assassins using my magic I created a ring of fire to burn them and knock them off balance, then spikes of hardened sand to impale them. And teleported again to another location as two more arrows went by my old spot.

“So is your plan to simply tire me out?” I asked, knowing despite my efficiency I could not do this for long. “Just to the point where you’ll comply.” Cyanide responded with hands behind his back, he’s confident he’ll win despite the amount of his men that are dying.

I quickly teleported before a fireball had struck me, I wouldn’t have noticed had I not felt the heat. Quickly I disposed of this attacker with a fireball of my own only I created mine around him. I ducked to dodge another arrow, then slashed my sword to cut down the assassin charging at me.

“Cyanide you are no match for me it seems, even with dozens of assassins, how disappointing.” I remarked, the faintest heaviness in my breaths as I knew I was slowing down bit by bit, and I would not be able to teleport back to my castle now as it would take too much energy. Damn it I shouldn’t have even humored him.

“Nothing to say? Don’t worry this was planned, see good king hubris takes over in subtle ways, you had only seen as many assassins as you had knights. You thought you could easily subdue me and my forces.” He said with an arrogant smile as he gloated his victory to me. “Though I am glad you thought not of why I went to nearly the other side of the globe to your castle good king, otherwise you may have sent an army my way.” He mocked.

“Fine, then I would say you win Cyanide but you should have remembered my kingdom is not just that island in the Americas.” I said before making a risky move, one that could kill me if I am slightly off. I teleported anywhere in the borders of my territory there and could only hope that worked as my vision went black.
