I remember asking my parents this all the time when we were on roadtrips...I'm surprised they didn't throw me out a window...
You might notice the art here looks a little different. I've been messing around with lettering and bubbles a bit, but I'm probably going to stick with the general style of episode 1 from now on (I actually drew that one last). Also, yes, Lisa's hair does keep changing. I'm still trying to finalize a style for it. Which one do you like best?

After a catastrophic earthquake devastated the world, only those who could adapt survived. Those who could outrun the disaster and use what resources they could scavenge from the surface became the tall, dark Magnos. Those who fled from the disaster by hiding underground became the small, fair Parvish. And those who outsmarted the disaster, building great feats of engineering to shield themselves from the calamity, became the more-or-less average Medians.
In the aftermath, three countries were created from three islands that used to be one: Magno, Parvum, and Medius. The islands together were called Trio. The Medians built bridges to connect the people together, but much still keeps them apart. Differences are hard to overcome, even within a simple Median family like Ellie Sweet's. But that doesn't mean they are insurmountable. After all, the Sweet-McGee family has made it this far without killing each other. Maybe there's hope for the land of Trio after all.
