Alex was standing at the house door, deciding wether or not to enter. He could hear the extremely loud music coming from inside.
Damn, he really didn't like those parties. The truth is that he always had gone to them because Jamie asked him to, saying that he would have fun. He never did. Alex was a light weight, he got drunk very easily, and when that happened, he would start talking without thinking.
That's why he couldn't decide wether to enter or leave. He was afraid of what he could say to Jamie if he got drunk. Because one thing was certain: James would search for him. Alex had knew his best friend long enough to know that he would want answers. But, would Alex be able to give them to him?
"If I don't drink anything with alcohol, there will be no problem" he thought. Great, so all he would have to do was to refuse any cup that anyone would offer him. Easy-peasy.
With that idea, he opened the door and came in.
"I'm so fucking bored" James thought. He hadn't been at the party for even an hour and he already wanted to leave. The first thing he did when he arrived was to look for Alex, but he hadn't arrived yet. It was normal, since he didn't like parties. Jamie knew that, and yet he still asked his friend to accompany him every time. He really enjoyed when Alex got drunk. He became all clingy and wouldn't let go of him at any time. He needed him. And James... liked it.
- Hey, are you listening?
James came back to reality and turned his head to the girl that talked. He was sitting on a sofa with a girl on each side. They were cute, but he wasn't interested in them at all. When would Alex arrive? Would he even come? He took a sip from his glass, and when he was putting it down, he noticed a figure at the room entrance. James almost chocked.
Alex was standing there, looking at everyone. Although the room was pretty crowded, James noticed him the first second he appeared. How could he not? Alex' hair was messy, but it still looked good. Very good. He was wearing a coloured shirt, and it was open, showing his abdomen. James' pulse accelerated. Why was Alex' shirt opened? He saw his face. He was a bit blushed, and his eyes were glowing. He was drunk. What if someone tried to approach him and harassed him?
"Jesus, calm down. Alex can take care of himself" James thought. He probably had met a girl and they had hooked up. But that didn't calm him. He felt... strange. He didn't know how to describe it, and that made him angry. He stood up and started to walk towards Alex, but he stopped when a girl grabbed his friend's arm and clung to him. Her face was really close to his, and James noticed that Alex was uncomfortable.
James frowned and walked faster towards him.
Alex didn't know what happened. He was pretty sure he had rejected every drink everyone offered him and yet he was drunk. Then he remembered a girl he was talking to gave him a cup of "juice".
- Hey, what's this? - He said to the girl while pointing at the cup.
- Oh, it's raspberry juice with vodka! It's really good, right?
- Uh... Yeah - Dammit. He was really stupid if he thought he could go to a party and not drink anything with alcohol. Now what? He could go home, but he wanted to talked to his friends, and the girl next to him was very nice. And maybe he would see James... "Fuck, the alcohol is really affecting me. I don't want to see James in this state. I really don't want".
- You want another cup? You've already finished the one I gave you - the girl smiled. She was cute. Maybe he could like her enough to forget about his annoying friend and enjoy the party. "Well, fuck it. I'm already drunk. Another cup won't change anything". Alex smiled too:
- Sure, let's go get more.

Half an hour later, Alex was regretting drinking so much. The girl was still talking to him, but he didn't know what they were talking about. He didn't know what he was saying, but he had the feeling that the girl was trying to flirt with him.
- God, I think I drank too much, I'm very hot.
- Let me help you with that, then - the girl oppened his shirt and started touching him all over. Alex blushed more than what he already was due to the alcohol.
- What are you doing? - he said, getting nervous. The girl loughed.
- I'm just teasing you! - she messed his hair. - You look really sexy now, though.
Alex didn't know what to say. He thought he would like the girl, but in the end he wasn't able to find her attractive. And it was obvious she was not planning to just talk with him, so Alex needed to find a way to escape.
- Uh... Haha... H-Hey, why don't we go to the living room? I'm sure there will be people we know!
The girl pursed his lips, but nodded.
When he was at the entrance, he became nervous. There were too many people, more than in any other room of the house. He started feeling unwell when the girl grabbed his arm and spoke in his ear:
- Hey, this room is very crowded and it's noisy. Why don't we go to a room upstairs? We will be alone and we'll have more fun...
Alex grimaced. He didn't want to go upstairs with the girl, he would have to reject her and apologise then, and he wasn't in a good state for none of that things.
While he was thinking of an excuse, a strong hand grabbed his other arm and pulled toward him, away from the girl.
- Get your hands off him, slut.
