“Come on, stop being such a pussy.” Andrea pushed her father towards the administration office even when he was trying hard to just stay rooted to where he stood.
“Language, young lady.” Andrea rolled her eyes as she pushed the man a little more.
“Oh, come on, just go in there and tell her all that I told you to say.”
“And what if she rejects me?”
“Then you go find yourself a hotter lady.” Michael frowned as he looked back at his daughter, who just smirked innocently. “I’m kidding, sheesh, I’m kidding.”
“You better be, because I might like Jessica a little more than I should.”
Andrea smiled as she stopped pushing her father.
“Then what are you so afraid? Go get your woman, or get rejected. But go do something.”
Michael sighed. Andrea was right, he had to do something, just so he’d know and not regret not trying.
“Okay, so I compliment her ears first, right?” Andrea laughed before she nodded her head. “Yeah, sure, but do try to say eyes in there.”
Michael shook his head before he corrected himself.
“Eyes, I meant eyes.”
“Sure, you did.” Andrea muffled her laughter as Michael turned towards the administration office. “Eyes.” He mumbled to himself before he went right in.
Andrea smiled to herself before she went to go do what she had promised as well. It was an old promise and she was sure the other person had probably forgotten all about it, but Andrea remembered.
And today was the day she was going to go keep it.

“Mr. Hanning? Can I ask why you’re so late today?” Jessica asked as she sat behind her desk with glasses on. She took them off as she looked at the man in front of her.
Michael gulped his nervousness down before he blurted out the first thing he had to say. “Jessica Garfield, you have beautiful ears.”
Jessica stared at Michael for a whole minute before she burst out laughing, “Wow, that’s something I’ve never heard before. I’m glad you like my ears.”
Michael shook his head as he internally face-palmed himself. “I meant eyes; you have beautiful eyes.”
Getting up from her seat, she walked around her desk to sit right in front of Michael.
“Are you here to just flirt with me, Mr. Hanning?” Michael gulped before he nodded his head, before realization hit him and he shook his head.
Jessica enjoyed flirting with the man before but this nervous mess wasn’t so bad either as she giggled. “Then what do you want?”
“I—I want to ask you out, Jessica Garfield.”
It was as if Jessica had always wanted to hear that since her answer brought a smile to Michael’s face.
“I thought you’d never ask.”

Clearing her throat, Andrea stood outside of a single-story house with a bouquet of flowers wearing a fitted suit that hurt her ass – courtesy of Michael.
She rang the bell again since she was getting impatient, but the door opened just as she had rung the bell the second time.
Andrea could tell who the woman was just by her similar features, as she smiled at her.
“Hi, can I talk to Mr. and Mrs. Richards, please?”
The woman frowned before she nodded her head while giving space for Andrea to come into the house.
Andrea smiled as she walked into the house that had a comfortable feel to it. The woman went to take away the flowers that Andrea had brought, as the girl smiled at the woman again.
“You can sit in the living room while I go put these in water.”
Andrea nodded her head as she walked into the living room that had lots of pictures hanging on the walls.
“So, you’re the one that wanted to talk to me?” Andrea looked behind her to find a tall man standing in the doorway of the living room.
“Yes, I wanted to talk to you and Mrs. Richards.”
“What is this about now?” Mr. Richards spoke up as he glanced down at Andrea’s attire. He found her familiar but just couldn’t tell where from.
Andrea cleared her throat again as she saw Mrs. Richards had also come to join her husband.
“To be very honest, I really hate being formal since everything seems so fake and stuck up.” Mr. Richards frowned as Andrea nodded her head with a sigh. “But since, I promised your daughter I’d come and talk to you both first before talking to her, so here it goes.”
Andrea paused to sigh before she continued, “I really love your daughter. I have since the very first time she said my name. I enjoy listening to her talk and smile; oh, her smile is just drop-dead gorgeous.”
Mr. and Mrs. Richards looked at the girl in front of them with confusion as Andrea got to the point.
“But I’m not here to talk about her beautiful features and her wonderful personality. I’m here to tell you that it was me that convinced her to come out to you two. And it was me that didn’t think of the consequences. It was too early and you both are clearly too close-minded to understand.”
“Excuse me?”
“What I want to say is that, yes, I got her to come out to you but I really didn’t make her a lesbian. She was already one when I confessed my feelings to her, I swear.”
“You should stop talking now, young lady, and get out of this house.”
Andrea frowned as she looked at Mr. Richards. “My name is Andrea, and I’m the girl your daughter has always been in love with.”
“Shut up, you don’t know anything!”
“Yes, I do, I know how you both deny the fact that she’s a lesbian, and that you both treat her like she’s an alien. Stop being so stubborn and see how much you’ve hurt her.”
Mrs. Richards’ eyes softened as she looked at Andrea but Mr. Richards didn’t falter in his stance.
“I can call her down right now, and make her reject your very existence.”
Andrea chuckled before she waved her arm. “Go ahead. Either I’ll leave here a happy girl or I’ll leave with a broken-heart and a broken hand.”
“A broken hand?” Mrs. Richards asked as her husband went to go call Olivia downstairs.
“Eh, it’s better if the second option doesn’t come true.”
It only took Olivia a few minutes to come walking down the stairs with a serious face.
She had bags under her eyes which were a clear sign of her long sleepless nights. She couldn’t really sleep after how she had tried to seduce Andrea’s dad.
“Yes, daddy.”
“There is this girl in the living room that says you love her.” Olivia’s eyes widened as she pushed past her father’s frame and walked straight into the living room.
Andrea smiled as she looked at Olivia. It was like seeing her for the first time again.
“Hi.”
Olivia tried to keep her tears from falling as she let out a reply, “Hey.”
“Olivia! Tell me that whatever this girl is saying is a lie!”
Andrea frowned as she rolled her eyes at Olivia’s father before she took big steps to come towards the girl, she was desperate to hold in her own arms.
“I’m sorry, Mr. and Mrs. Richards but this is what I came here for originally.” Wrapping her arms around Olivia’s waist, Andrea pushed her lips against hers as she instantly smiled at the contact.
Suddenly, Mr. and Mrs. Richards weren’t around them anymore as Olivia wrapped her own arms around Andrea’s shoulders.
Now, this was why Andrea had rushed over to Olivia’s house just after she had taken her father to the school.
This was what Andrea had wanted to do all along, and what she had promised to do once both of them were ready.
“I don’t want to see you anymore!”
“Come on, Olivia, you can’t let them dictate your life!”
“Where were you when I came out to them, just because you wanted me to?” Andrea frowned as Olivia poked her chest with her finger. “Where were you, huh?”
“I—I’m sorry.”
Olivia wiped at her eyes as she nodded her head, “That’s what you’ll always say, Andrea. Why don’t you grow up and accept your mistakes.”
“Olivia—”
“No, I’m leaving and I don’t want you to ever try to talk to me again.”
“Olivia, you can’t do that.”
“Oh, but I just did.” Olivia turned to walk away from Andrea, but the other girl had other plans as she grabbed her arm. “I wasn’t ready yet.”
Olivia’s eyes softened as she looked into the ones she had fallen in love with. “Neither was I.”
Andrea sighed as Olivia pulled back her arm before she turned to leave again, not even stopping as she heard Andrea promise her something.
And even though Olivia could clearly hear the other girl, she pretended as if she didn’t as she walked away.
“I promise you, one day I’ll come to your house and kiss you right in front of your parents! Once, we’re both ready!”
Olivia hadn’t looked forward to that one day even when her heart had yearned for it. But Andrea always remembered just like how Olivia did.
Separating herself slightly from Olivia, Andrea grabbed her hand before she faced Mr. Richards who was staring at them with his mouth open wide in disbelief.
Olivia hid a little behind Andrea’s shoulder as she tightly held on to their intertwined hands.
“I’m sorry for kissing your daughter in front of you both.” Mrs. Richards was just surprised at the girl’s boldness as she shook her head, while Mr. Richards began to frown.
“I hope you both accept your daughter as she is or else, I could just take her to my house since my dad’s cool with this.”
“He is?” Andrea nodded her head as Mrs. Richards asked. “Oh yeah, he was even ready to come talk to you guys with me but I told him I could handle it on my own.”
Mr. Richards kept frowning as his wife turned to glance at him.
Olivia taking the opportunity stepped forward to talk as well since she hadn’t spoken her mind, even before when she had come out to them.
“Mom, dad, I know you didn’t want me to be like this, but I can’t turn myself into something I’m not.”
Andrea nodded as Olivia went to her father, who looked down at his hands just as Olivia held them. “I’m still your daughter.”
Mrs. Richards went over to her daughter before she wrapped her arms around her. “We understand, honey.” Mr. Richards looked at his wife with question before he looked at Olivia, who had started to cry in her mother’s arms.
“I understand too.”
Andrea watched with a smile as the three embraced each other in front of her.
“I’ll just give you three some privacy.” She spoke as she turned her back towards the family, which made Olivia laugh.
“You’ll love her too, honestly.”
Mr. Richards didn’t really agree with his daughter but he still nodded his head. “Oh, I love her already.”
Andrea laughed as she heard Mrs. Richards voice. “And you’re my favorite, ma’am.”
Olivia laughed which made Mr. Richards smile before he frowned at Andrea’s back.
