S T O R Y

a. IF YOU think this is the place to find a fairytale, you'll probably want to know that the door is 5 steps eastbound. This book will be darker than my others. I am not saying this book will have a sad ending or a happy ending. Just know that leading characters aren't always right in what they do. Sometimes, they mess up because after all, they're human too; this isn't the place to find a mary sue.

b. THE INITIALS after the quotes at the beginning of every chapter show whose point of view it'll be from.

c. DO NOT post hate comments or bash anyone in the comments. I WILL make sure your comments aren't seen near my profile again.

d. CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM is absolutely welcome. I DO NOT accept destructive criticism (I will provide examples).

e. I AM open to any messages about book ideas you'd like to see me write. I also accept messages about plot for books I am updating (doesn't mean I'll always respond).

f. I DO NOT own any companies which coincide with the real world named in this book.

g. I OWN the characters, settings, story, and design of my cover. I DO NOT own the background image for it, credit goes to its rightful owner.

EXAMPLES

DESTRUCTIVE CRITICISM: "I honestly hate this book." or "This book could have been so much better."

CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM: "I think the pace needs to be a bit slower, for instance. . ." or "It'd be logical for them to respond this way because. . ."

DESTRUCTIVE CRITISICIM IS STRAIGHT-UP NASTINESS OR MAKING UPSETTING COMMENTS WITHOUT TELLING WHAT COULD BE FIXED OR CHANGED TO BETTER THE WORK (in my opinion).

CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM IS POSITIVELY AFFECTING THE ONE YOU ARE CRITIQUING BY PROVIDING ADVICE AND TIPS THAT DIRECTLY HELP THE PERSON. EVEN TELLING THEM SPECIFICALLY WHAT'S WRONG CAN HELP THEM (once again, in my opinion).

"Are you serious," I hissed lowly at myself as I eyed the cut which gave blood permission to ooze its way hypnotically slow - down the bottom of my lip. "We've already gone over this!"

"You know how this works," I snarled at the reflection in the mirror, which snarled right back in retaliation. "When in Rome, do as the Romans do."

"When in Rome, do as the Romans do. When in Rome, do as the Romans do. When in Ro-"

A loud yet base thump sounded against the dark-wooded door as it shook violently, "CARMEN? OKAY IN THERE?"

"Crap," I bit out.

"No, no, no, no, no. . ." The repeated word came out sung in nervousness.

"I-" I croaked, clearing my throat to steady my voice. "I'm fine, I- SH-"

My head whipped around, coils whipping my eyes as I watched in horror while the lock turned before the knob followed suit. Almost as if in slow-motion, Mayna strutted in - instantly making the air prickling cold. "I kept calling you. . . Halo."

My name.
