Angels can be sent down for any reason. They might have a job to do, broke too many rules, or just left on their own.
"If you dont quit following me I'll stick a knife in your throat."
That seemed to do the trick, as they backed away. He didn't care if anyone else heard. He would happily stab them all.
"I'm back"
"Run into anyone?"
"Just a dumb cop"
He grinned as he showed off the gun he managed to steal from the police he bumped into. His grin grew as a bunch of hollars and cheers filled the air around them.
"Were you followed?"
His face dropped into a glare
"What kind of-"
"No no, it's okay. Obviously you're new here. Your name?"
"Hester"
He walked over to her and held her off the ground by her collar and pushed her into the wall.
"Hester. I can do what I want. It's not up to you, or anyone else here. I doubt I would have been followed but IF I were, it wouldn't be a problem because we are all capable of fighting. Do you think you can keep up"
She nodded and was dropped to the ground. He turned around with a look capable of killing.
"Now. Which one of you decided that bringing someone new here wihout telling me was a good idea."
"Yeah, sorry that was me"
"Narti, I'm surprised. You're not one to break the rules"
"I just thought she'd be a valuable asset"
"What could she possibly have that we don't already. She has two days to prove herself or she's gone."
"Yup"
"What do you mean gone? And why can you do anything you want."
"I suggest you hold your tongue if you don't want to end up like Narti here."
Hester's eyes flicked over to Narti. She pushed her hair out of her face to show a dent in her skull and her missing eye.
"If she's staying she'd better get that attitude under control"

He grew up admiring the police so when he got accepted he was ecstatic. However that excitement soon turned to fear when he managed to lose his gun on his first day on the job.
"Hey Violet?'
"Yeah"
"I'm missing my gun"
"Ha! Good luck. Erza's gonna kill you"
"Good luck?! You're just wishing me goodbye already?"
"Yeah there's no escaping Erza, once she finds out you lost her gun she'll be after you"
"Are you gonna help me find it or am I going to die alone"
"You're dying alone. If I abandon my assigment I'm done for too"
"Well, I'll let you know if I find it"
"Mmm"
His uniform did nothing to calm his nerves as he retraced his steps. He played with his white swan badge. Another annoying habit he'd picked up because of his anxiety.
"If you don't quit following me, I'll stick a knife in your throat."
He jumped and snapped out of his trance. He didn't even realise he was following anyone until then. When he looked back to apologise there was no one there.
Since he had already retraced back to the station, he had no more leads. So he was back to wandering because he didnt want Erza to know that he returned without completing his assignment or without having his gun. He made his way to an alleyway where he heard voices, one which he recognised as the one who threatened him earlier. Anyone with common sense would have left. But he was, at the very least, curious.
"She has two days to prove herself or she's gone"
He managed to peek around the corner and his head flew back. He should leave. he should get out of there but his legs wouldn't move. His hand moved up to his radio but hesitated. He'd be in trouble if they heard it.
"Keith, we should go"
Keith turned and looked out of the alleyway
"Why do yoou say that?"
She gave hime the sign for police and he raised his hand to get everyone's attention. Their eyes gravitated towards him and nodded. Narti grabbed Hester and covered her mouth. Hester tried to spin around but the hand on her shoulder tightened so she stilled.
A minute of silence after 'We should go' was Lance's sign to check if the alleyway was empty. He peeked his head around the corner and saw a guy holding his gun. He smirked and took off around the corner. Lance hurried to catch him.
He turned the corner and froze again. his gun was pointed at him
"I'm gonna need that back"
"You can have the bullets."
He pulled the trigger and the bullet buried itself in Lance's shoulder. his hand flew up to hold his wound closed with a wince.
"You must be a rookie, and that partner of yours isn't that sharp either"
"Well this could be my first and last day if I dont get that gun back"
He looked up and smirked
"Oh, what a shame"
He threw the gun up and it landed with a clatter on the roof.
"And now you're without a weapon, good job"
"Oh you think so?"
"Oi boss!"
The voice called out from a person that Lance couldn't see. he shifted his head to look over his shoulder.
"You already shot the guy, we should go"
"You?! But you're so young!"
Keith scoffed and turned around. Lance stepped forward to catch him but his feet wouldn't move anymore. Keith's blood red eyes glared at him as he walked away into the shadows.
__
He heard the clicked before he saw the glow. The sound led him to the back of the police station where Keith was sitting on the ground. He had a hoodie on which covered most of his skin. A mask covered his mouth and a torch settled in his left hand. his gloves were splattered with different colours of paint flecks. Lance could only see a slight portion of the design he was spray painting onto the wall. Lance recognised the shape of a skull, but that was all he could see.
Keith's eyes shifted to the sideand then back to the wall. After a couple seconds he looked back again and shot up.
"Hey-"
He was interrupted by his feet sticking to the ground and as plunged into darkness when Keith turned off his torch. Lance heard the echo of his running footsteps get softer until he couldn't hear then anymore. The grip around his feet looseed and he moved forward. The clatter of metal echoed into his ears and he stumbled to the ground with a cry. He slid his phone out of his pocket to see. A full bag of paint cans slumpedw on the floor with a few loose cans next to it. A couple cans lay horizontal and one rolled to a slow stop on the wall. He shifted his phone light to the grffiti on the wall and stepped back so that he could see it all. A detailed skull had burst into flames with outlines of snakes coming in and out of the eyes sockets. he inhaled, taking it all in until his eyes fell on the bag. Lance rummaged around a bit and found a couple spare spray paint masks.

Keith returned a few hours later to collect the rest of his stuff. He left in such a hurry that he only had the black paint can that he was already holding. He crouched down to pack away the loose cans and paused. His eyes shifted to the wall next to him and he stepped back. There were new marks which looked like neon wooden planks. In the cracks of the wall and wood, hundreds of eyes stared back at him. All had a haunting feel to them, and were different shades of red. His eyes tore away and landed on a green note tucked in his bag. He pulled it out and it read 'Amazing art! Although you're like a vampire". Keith sat down next to the bag. For thenext half an hour he finished up the snakes and then signed the piece 'VAMPIRE' in sketchy letter on the bottom of the wall. He stood and back against the opposite wall and took a photo.
