First time he did so, Rose was asleep with the hatchling in her lap. He was shocked at her kindness.
Why did HE have to show up, the man thought to himself. The mission was going great. How long did that man have him? He had lost track. He needs to get into contact with his employer, but how is he to do so when he can not even bring himself to sit up.
He let out a huge sigh when Bilmont walked in.
"Ah, you are awake. Been wanting to have a word with you." Bilmont looked at Rose, ensuring that she was asleep, and continued, "I can get Bethany to deliver a letter to your boss."
The man was about to say something before Bilmont continued with, "She sent me a letter about three weeks ago on how on of her men went missing while on the 'special' mission. She described you in great detail, even your little power of yours."
Bilmont sat in a nearby chair, pulled a turnip out of his pocket, and started to cut it up.
The man looked at Bilmont with relief and said, "Would you please? I would write the letter myself, but I am left handed and well..."
He nodded, grabbed a pen and paper from the table by his chair, and started writing what he was told, all while munchin on a turnip.
-----
They had not been done with the letter before long when Rose woke up. She seen that he was awake and asked hurriedly if he was alright.
"Yeah, he gave me some pain medicine not too long ago."
She looked over to see Bilmont holding a piece of paper and walking out of the room. She was about to yell after him, but the man spoke up, "He is sending a letter to the city for me. He said that I could use your owl."
"Alright."
Rose asked him a few questions, which were all very short and vague. She did not blame him, though. Anyone in his situation would not be very talkative.
It was not long until he went back to sleep. Rose headed up to her room, relieved that woke up even for a little bit.
Rose has always lived in the mountain tower with her mentor, Bilmont. From an early age, she was skilled with magic, but she knows that it is not the reason she was there. She looks different from others. She has been there for as long as she remembers and she does not even remember her parents. However, when a strange man starts hanging around the tower, things start to unfold.
