“Kyle?” Gellio answered in a surprised tone. “What are you... How did you even survive?”
“An accident like what you seem, fiend, a horror, whatever you want to call it. As to how I survived... well that’s another story.”
“It'd be a good idea to explain, wouldn't it?”
“Ah Gellio, always so quick to get to the point. Do you at least have an explanation for what you are now though?”
Gellio started to get frustrated, his hand already closing into a fist, and analyzing what part of Kyle's body he could punch or at least hurt. Though, the brother realized this, and spoke once again.
“Brother, it won’t do you good to kill your only explanation for the Wasteland, would it?”
“There could be more,” answered Gellio angrily, in a short curt way.
“You’d be lucky to find at least something that moves, let me tell you.” Kyle said back, still in that calm demeanor. “Now, what are you?”
“You think I know what in the hell is going on?”
“So I was truly the only one in Shorin…”
“What do you mean with the only one? You’re not making sense Kyle, just like everything in this damn place!”
“Calm down, Gellio. We both have things to explain.”
“No, because apparently only one of us has any idea of what this stupid nuclear wasteland is!”
“Gellio I’ve seen you before in this new form but... you've changed, what are you? What is this voice, this form, this...mindset?”
“Are you even looking at yourself, slime boy? Just EXPLAIN!”
“Fine, it seems you're a lot more confused than I am.”
He swiftly and silently turned his arm into that sharp slimy knife, and Gellio instantly started to ready his hand into a fist. Yet, before he could try to defend himself from the possibility of an attack, Kyle once again opened his green mouth and said:
“Calm down, the knife is only a precaution. Ok so, listen. Dad and I were further into the marketplace, just looking for some tools for the house. Well, we found a crazy old man, wild hair and tattered tunic. He called himself a scientist, and kept repeating that the world was going to end. I passed it off as simply a lonely misinformed man.
Nonetheless, dad, and his curiosity as big as ever, decided to talk to him regarding this conspiracy theory he kept repeating. The man led us on to a bunker where we'll survive. It was stupid, but dad still decided to follow him. I kept on repeating how bad of an idea this was, but he just would not listen.
So, then, this old man led us to an actual bunker. There was a hatch on the ground, a bit ways off from the outskirts of Shorin. The place was surprisingly pretty packed, all kinds of seemingly idiotic people that decided to follow him, and well, I wouldn't say the placed look particularly comfortable, yet, the bunker also seemed to be the mad man's own scientific workshop.
