The night greeted Gellio, hiding out in the tent in the large city’s outskirts. The place still seemed to be wide with lights flashing in several different spots in all kinds of buildings. The hustle and bustle of the night-life could be heard even up to where he was.
Gellio slowly sneaked to the large iron entrance, with a brown piece of cloth up top to help him block all the nightlights. Yet this seemed to be unnecessary. Nothing changed, and nobody apparently came out. Gellio looked up to a nearby hole in a wall, and saw all kinds of people there. Some sober, some drunk, some simply walking around. All of these were framed in an intriguing blue light seemingly originating from places up top the busy and lively streets. Yet, Gellio saw how small they were to him, many not even half his size. It made him realize how tall his demonic form made him.
People won’t be kind or ignorant of a large black demon, now would they?
Gellio then began thinking about this. His body had shown powerful abilities, yet he didn’t want to become a slimy shape. He wanted to be able to walk among the citizens, and find others like him.
But…what if I am Hellstone? Could I then not just….shrink my body?
And he tested this theory out, thinking that he was average size amongst the citizens, something…human. Closing his eyes, these thoughts filled his head, plus the effort to try to change his body according to the seeming properties of Hellstone. And to his surprise, he found the brown cloth of the tent larger than it was before. He then wrapped it around his dark body, covering everything except his face, which he simply kept down. Gellio also felt the fire in him more intense and bright because of how condensed it was, even leaving a small blue light wherever he stared at.
“Guess it works,” Gellio muttered to himself.
Gellio couldn’t catch more than what he saw in the small hole in the wall. So he continued going up to the door, still nobody noticing, or coming outside of their happy city. His hope grew, maybe he could truly just pass off in the large populated place.
Yet Gellio’s hope somewhat fell down when he saw the large iron doors completely closed, blocking the city from its main entrance in the midst of the large rainforest that made up the land beyond Sorhin
Apparently, the night also has to be safe…wonder. I don’t want to wait, there could be some guards who’d snuff me out and I don’t need attention right now. I should probably just…
And Gellio immediately changed his Hellstone form into a smooth, sticky, large puddle of slime. The brown piece of cloth hung to the top, and Gellio started moving quickly in the darkness towards the nearest wall. When he reached it, Gellio and his cloth stuck to it, moving vertically along it until he reached the top. Once there, he moved down, his black ooze form never wavering from the thick wall.
Once on the ground, Gellio shifted back to his usual form, yet he remembered to slip the cloth over him. He then walked, drooping his head downward, so people could not see his bright fire and demonic features.
Yet the times that Gellio raised his head he saw the incredible city. It was modern, the blue lights framing it in a futuristic yet warm light. Buildings rose with all kinds of technological advancements and conveniences in them, and billboards featured colorful ads advertising all sorts of products. These shed the place in a bright neon light, as well as the busy paved streets he walked.
