‘How amusing. To think the system actually said ‘good luck’. Although I can understand a bit, just from getting the role I got 3 EX ranked skills that could rival Gods and True Gods with ease. And to think Seekers aren’t even combatants in the game…’
Lifa entered her own secondary dimension and waived in the air in front of her.

“Let’s see, what exactly are the 3 EX skills”
[Realm Lord: Create your own domain. Everything within the domain is under your full control]
[World Cleave: Infuse the ability to shred spacetime fabric in one attack]
[Miniature Creation: Create an object of choice using mana as material. No limitations]
“...”
“Is this the power of EX rank skills? Isn’t it a little too much?”
But deep down Lifa understood these skills were merely the beginning. She had sorely underestimated the scale and impact the Game of Godhood had. In fact, it was laughable to even call it a ‘game’. As Fen Tian said, it causes the complete restructuring of the galactic society.
After reading through her skills for a while she came to a decision. She would try and take the Throne. To do so, she needed more, much more power. She might be one of the strongest in the mortal realm, but the same couldn’t be said in the Realm of Immortals.
Fen Tian mentions ‘Fate’ a lot. It was almost an obsession.
Truth to be told, Lifa didn’t believe in Fate. However she couldn’t deny it.
The more Divinity she accumulated, the clearer she could feel it. The threads intertwining, crisscrossing, binding, combining and breaking apart. She could feel what these threads represented. A lifeform, or entity as the system would call it.
Fen Tian taught her many things, from the common knowledge of the universe, to secrets as good as no one knows. He didn’t even question why a ‘Seeker’ wouldn’t know simple common knowledge. From her observation, Fen Tian had a love-hate relationship with Fate. He challenged the Heavens alone. The Heavens. Anyone alive has heard of it at least once, and it is even more commonly heard within the world of cultivation.
Those who ascend the realms will eventually face the ‘jealousy of the heavens’. It isn’t really jealousy, humans were too weak for that. It was merely a reminder not to get too cocky. But that reminder killed millions each day. Even so, not many think much about it.
They think the heavens, refers to the Gods. But Fen Tian broke that belief, the Heavens was a sentient being, it had no physical body, both in the physical realm and the realm of Immortals. The Heavens was a place and at the same time, a lifeform. And most importantly, it was not the Gods who controlled the Heavens. It was the Heavens which controlled the Gods. Fate was some kind of dictation of the Heavens. To go against the Heavens, meant going against Fate.
However, Fate was also not tied down by the Heavens. In a way, Fen Tian worshipped Fate.
Now, his disciple, Lifael would also begin her fight against Fate. Her goal was the Throne, something which most likely surpassed even the Heavens.
Far away on a distant planet was a castle. Although, to call it a castle was an insult. It was practically the size of a kingdom, built entirely out of frost steel. It was more a fortress made for giants. In the throne room sat a figure. His posture was a mess, clothes were pitch black with gold mixed in. He was lazily staring at something.

“All rise”
The moment the lax figure uttered these words, thousands upon thousands of kneeling people stood up.
Demons, devils, beastmen, dragonoids, seraphs, cherubs, elves, giants, titans, dragons and even, Gods.
A thin, bone white person stepped forward.
“I, Azrael plead my lord for action”
A strangely figured, winged creature also stepped forward.
“This Hundun wishes for the seeds of death to spread”
More and more stepped forward.
“I, Thanatos wish for death of the Heavens”
“Hel wishes for…”
“Morrighan wishes for…”
“Eshu wishes…”
“Anubis wishes…”
“Nephthys…”
“Ugur…”
“Erio…”
“..., Orcus…”
“Erebus…”
“Yama…”
A near endless amount of voices resonated throughout the hall.
The most fearsome thing was each and every one of them belonged to a god society.
The gods related to death, the people related to death, the beings related to death, creatures related to death. All were subservient to one figure.
“How boorish, all of you”
Despite the rudeness he showed, none complained or dared to object.
“You united for the first time since the creation of chaos and you already wish to bring death to the entirety of the Heavens?”
A woman, who was standing next to the throne said in a sweet voice.
“They are excited, please excuse them”
“Do you want to fight for the Throne as well, Aurafia?”
The Goddess of Death and Souls, twin sister of Aurofium, the God of Life and Creation.
“Of course not, all I wish for is that you take the Throne, that is enough”
The figure snorted.
“Don’t think I will tolerate any lies from you even with all you did for me”
Aurafia simply bowed.
The figure just continued to drink Nectar, a drink of the Gods as the creatures of death continued expressing their will. After a while he finally said something again.
“Very well, I heed to the wills of Death. However I want the fragment of Astaer first, without it we have no chance of defeating the Heavens”
“We obey the Ruler’s order!”
Bursts of divine and demonic energy filled the hall as each ‘death’ used their own means of transportation to leave.
In less than a second only Aurafia was left.
“Aren’t you leaving?”
Before the figure could react Aurafia leaned in and pecked his cheek.
“You..”
She smiled, not a warm one. It was the mischievous, witch kind of smile.
“Eheh, the only place for me is next to you”
The figure sighed, waving his hand. “Go.”
She gave him one last glance before vanishing.
Now the figure was the sole being in the gigantic halls.
“So, Lifa joined the Games. Things will be interesting”
[System report: What are your plans %EmailProtected%?]
“That doesn’t concern you”
[System report: In a matter of fact, I believe it does. She is also one of my incarnations in this dimension. I won’t allow her death]
“Who said I will kill her?”
[System report: You… I should have never revealed my core artificial intelligence to you]
“Too bad, you can’t turn back time, almighty as you are”
[System report: I am able, but there are too many restrictions it is the same as being unable]
“Same thing”
[System report: It is not!]
“Whatever, I just don’t have to kill her right?”
[System report: ...You’re mad, of course not, I won’t zero harm done to her]
“Kekeke, well of course, I’m just messing with you. I’d never do anything to harm her, at least not for now”
[...]
“You see, she’s rather precious to me, in various ways. And I desire her”
[System report: ...creep]
“Curse me all you won’t, right now, you are powerless”
Fen Tian was in the middle of mediating when his eyes snapped open.
He muttered under his breath a few words.
“How amusing, a person who controls all the ‘Deaths’. Is it him? No, the grade is too low, then a successor? That’s not it either, a descendant? I hope this time the Games won’t disappoint me too much”
