“My name is Prince Julius my family and I come from the
north. My father is the northern king and is good friends with your father.”
Emma nodded watching the boys ever move. The boy smiled noticing. “Come, we
must go to the hall.”
Wearily Emma followed the boy through a set of large wooden doors. “Ah, I see you two are getting to know each other!” Julius’s father smiled warmly at the two. “Your father has been very kind in letting us stay.” Emma nodded, smiling shyly.
The queen walked in at that moment closely followed by Martha. Emma smiled at her mother but the queen did not return it. Instead she turned to introduce herself to the northern king and his son.
“I see you’ve all met my daughter.” She turned to glance quickly ate Emma. “Yes!” The northern king smiled.
“Well then it’s time for her to retire now, she has things to do.” Emma looked up in surprise “but mother I just got down here!” The queen stared at her. “Jerel please escort my daughter to her room.” “Yes your highness,” a knight stepped forwards.
“Wait, don’t!” Emma put her hand up. The knight stopped. The queen stared at the knight. “What are you doing?” The knight looked up in surprise. “The young Miss asked me to wait.” The queen raised her eyebrow. “Take her!” she called turning around.
“But mother, mother wait!” Emma called desperately after her mom as the knight tugged at her arm to move. “Let me go!” Emma wrestled out of his grasp. She ran to her mother but slipped flailing into the shocked queens arms. The queen jumped back a flash of fear was visible in her eyes. “Don’t touch me! Just go to your room!”
“But why?” Because,” the queen pressed her face up close to Emma`s. “Because creeps like you shouldn’t hang around with a respected family such as the ones from the north!” “Mother!?” Emma chocked as the knight dragged her away. “Mother, mother, mother!”
The queen turned eyes flashing. Go Emma! She said shrilly. Everyone was silent as the princess silently made her way up the stars. “Sorry about my daughter bad behaviour!” Emma heard her mother apologise the king. “I wish she was well mannered like your son here is!”
Emma fled up the last few steps as she felt tears come to her eyes.
