The boy spent a few more minutes introducing me to all the animals, until he had to leave.

"I'll be back in a few hours ok?" I nodded at him. "Can you sweep out all of the empty stables while I'm gone? And also put 2 hay bales in the left corners."  I nodded again,  and the boy patter me softly on the head. 

He walked passed me, over to a group of boys and girls. They all looked about his age.

"Far out! If you took any longer we'd be late!" One of the boys yelled.

A girl said "If we went into battle, you'd be the first one who'd die, Chris." The rest of the group chuckled.

"Why?" He asked.

"Because you're so damn loud." One of the boys stated.

Chris replied with a, "whatever" and and the large group made their move to leave.

I looked around the large space for a broom. I needed to do everything the boy told me, or he'll be sad.

I found the broom leaning against the wall. I traded carefully over to it, only noticing the the big dog I was about to step on after I stepped on it. 

A loud yelp was drawn out of the animal. I gasped and stumbled back out of the stable, tripping over a hay bale in the process. 

The scary dog sniffed on and around me. 

'am I going to die?' I thought. 'but I'll never see my family again'.

The creature lunged at me, and everything faded into black.
