The headless humanoid monster towered in the room and stood before her as an oversized heavy sword fell from above. With a single hand, it grabbed and lugged the heavy sword and placed it on its shoulder, but none of that mattered to Clair. It was the red aura that covered this room and enveloped the headless monster, that placed her at odds.
Then she came realized why it bother her so, piecing together all that had happened to her. From when Hayes and Lies mentioned about prayer, to the daemon’s game Nyxi said.
She stared at it in appal as the thought of it all being people who had been murdered crosses her mind. Clair shakes her head in doubt and tries deny it but she can’t deny the feeling of hundreds of souls coursing through it.
“People…? Why?!” Erratically, threads formed on her back.
While the headless monster began to lugged the heavy sword over its shoulder and smashes it into the ground, leaving cracks and crevices.
Blink!
As it came crashing, Clair dodges and reappears in the far corner of the room. Her threads on her back starts to partially form a pair of angels like wing. They fluttered chaotically and she darted forward. The headless monster turns its huge body and dragged the heavy sword around. Then with sudden force of energy, it swept the heavy sword across the ground.
Crashing into the wall while Clair leaped over the swinging arm, landing just after it, she sprints passes and to its huge body.
The headless monster punches the ground with its other arm and as it came down, she swiftly dodges and flutters her chaotic wings.
Threads leaked from her hands and sword while the monster raised its arms once more and swung it down, she jumped on the arm as it pummelled into the ground.
She engraved her sword onto the monster’s arm as she races up and over it, she reaches its back and leaped off the moment it brought its arm back up. Threads ran out of the wounds that she had made, grazing the tip of her sword on the ground, she weaves the threads to it.
Struggling to free its arm, the headless monster dragged its other arm along with the heavy sword and lugged it into the air, then smashes the heavy sword back into the ground.
Thud!
It shook the ground and created even deeper crevices, and as it freed its other arm and swung it backwards towards Clair.
Blink!
She reappears on the other side of the headless monster while her wings chaotically flutter.
‘Clair! You’re overdoing it!’ She ignores Nyxi’s voice and carried on, dashing forward. The headless monster lugged the heavy sword back onto its shoulder.
While she ran pass its legs and to the headless monster’s back, she leaps and drove her sword on its back. Threads overflowed out of the crevice made as she continues to run over its shoulders while the headless monsters twist and turns its huge body around, swinging its arm over, and tries to shake her off.
She leaps again and lands on its arm with the heavy sword and weaves her threads into it, binding it to its body.
But, a burst of red aura and in a sudden force of energy, the headless monster swung its arm down along with the heavy sword with tremendous strength.
Thud!
Clair disappears and reappears on the headless monster’s arm just as it came slamming into the ground, it had torn all the threads that she had weaved. The ground below them began to rumble after receiving that impact, the cracks and crevices are starting to open up while her chaotic wings flutters and spread even more wider as she dodges, carves and weaves even more threads onto its arm.
The headless monster desperate throws punches and sweeps at her, all while it struggles to free its other arm. Clair continues to weave and weave, over its body, over its other arm and cover the headless monster in threads. Over and over again, she weaves.
With each thread that was torn, she adds another. Then she stumbles and stops right in front of it.
‘Clair! Clair…!’ Nyxi voice couldn’t reach her anymore as her eyes were already glowing erratically in blue.
The headless monster also came to a standstill with a red slit appearing in the centre of its body and tore through all the threads. Red hands pour out of the slit that had opened wide, dragging Clair into its belly, sealing it shut while the floor shattered and sent the headless monster plummeting down with Clair still in its belly.
Thud!
She opens her eyes in a dark grey enclosed space that had been tinted in red with red veins and dozens of hands grabbing onto her. Clair’s wings were no more and her eyes were back to normal, she tries to free herself from their grasp but it was impossible.
“Kill me…” “Kill me…”
“Kill me…”
“Please… Kill me…”
Unknown strange voices rush passes her head as the red hands grab hold of her neck and began choke her.
