Chapter 1: A Badger and 3 Zeti (Part 1) 

Star-Sign Island, New Hope City: A former Eggman Base turned into a City for the Resistance.  

11:00 Am

Stage 1: Sunside Avenue 

It was a beautiful spring day in the main business avenue of New Hope. Flickies, Chao, and Wisps flew freely around the buildings and trees. The redesigned “Egg” Pawns were doing their daily tasks of providing for the local citizens, which comprised both humans and mobians. Local markets and shops are beginning to open their doors and welcome customers. The mono-rail systems are moving throughout the area and the nice clean air compliments the soothing city.  

Around one of the market streets, we see the masked Badger on one of the rooftops; anyone in the area was too busy to mind. She was holding a fur pouch holding all sorts of items. She pulls them out and starts recounting her stash. 

???:   Let’s see, we have a couple of pieces of vegetables, (Like corn, tomatoes, and lettuce most are half-eaten but still edible.) some VERY bad apples Ew!  (they were not edible, she takes out the seeds and puts them in her pocket) Some nice berries, and my precious shinies! (She said very happily, most of these shinies were forks, spoons, cans, and the occasional gold ring.) Still not enough for a meal, but I can always hunt for myself later. (she shrugs).  

The Badger uses one of the seeds she collected and puts it on her palm. With that, the seed begins to glow neon green and grow exponentially. It makes a vine for our Badger to swing around the city. The citizens of New Hope saw this time, most were amazed but it wasn’t out of the ordinary for them. 

???:  This place seems nice for an industrial city. The air is breathable, there are no annoying Government Agents around (she usually means police and other government officials), and those robots seem less likely to kill me! (She reflected.) All I need is one more shiny for myself and I think this current scavenge is finished. I’m definitely coming back here tomorrow!  (She happily said.)  

The Badger stopped to notice something, not only did she see a shine in her eyes, but also felt something inside of her. Near her tattoo, she sensed something calming, yet destructive. All she heard was a voice telling her to grab it. The shine and her instincts pointed her to the same area. She swings her vine near an area where a light brown and orange rabbit and her magenta and white Chao were setting up posters. The Badger started to wait for the right moment to strike. 

The rabbit was wearing a white formal shirt with a blue tie and an orange skirt. While her Chao companion was wearing an orange bow tie. They were setting up multiple posters around the city. One was an advertisement for the Chaotix Detective Agency featuring her mom.  The second poster was for a tournament event she hoped to be in a couple of months; located in New Metropolis Stadium (Forces Metropolis) and sponsored by Donpa Motors. The final poster was for the Resistance, requesting volunteer members; featuring herself, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy front and center. Amy walks up next to her rabbit friend right on cue after selling some baked goods. 

Amy: You did a nice job with those posters Cream, they all look fantastic! (She said genuinely.)

Cheese:  CHAO!  (Cheese waving their arms hello.)

Cream the Rabbit:  Aw, Thank You Miss Amy it was nothing really. (She said modestly) So what have you been up to this week? (Cream asked.) 

Amy: Oh the usual, going shopping, working on my garden, baking goods for the bakery and our friends, seeing if Sonic and the others need help in taking care of missions, doing my daily workouts to keep in shape, and checking the city to see if anyone needs help. (Amy replied with a lot while using her fingers to count.)

Cream:  So you've been busy. 

Amy: Yeah, but it’s no big deal, I just love doing all these things. (Amy stated honestly.)

Cream:  I know, just try not to have too much on your plate okay. (She advised her.) 

Cheese:  CHAO!  CHAO! (Cheese shakes their head in agreement.) 

Amy:  I’ll try that Cream. (giggles) So what have you been up to? 

Cream:  Besides making these Chaotix and Resistance posters, Charmy and I did find… 

The conversation was shortly interrupted by a TV nearby, calling in breaking news. After the intro plays 2 robots introduce themselves.

Orbot:  Hello former enemies, welcome to Star-Sign News. I’m your loveable host as always Orbot. 

Cubot:  And I’m your also loveable host and comic relief of the hour Cubot.

Orbot:  Our current news takes place in New Metropolis, where an army of G.U.N mechs stationed was annihilated, fortunately, no theft or casualties to report. The surveillance footage was completely cut off before the attack. Officials theorize that these attacks were perpetrated by members of the Red Star Alliance. Evidence left behind the attack shows large claw marks and strands of green and purple hair near the accident.  (Shows pictures of the events) While the hair does point to two prominent members of the Alliance: Fang the Sniper and Bean the Dynamite (Shows old wanted posters of the 2); despite this, the monstrous claw marks, the lack of any robbery, and zero signs of bombing contradict these claims.  (The calm robot explained.)

Cubot:   I’m not much of a thinker, but what if those Zeti guys could be behind this. It does fit the hair color stuff, and monster claws though. (The dumb robot described to the best of its ability.)

Orbot:  That’s actually clever my compadre which is a lot coming from you...(Cubot: “Ah thanks.” said in the background.) For those unaware, the Deadly Six (shows a wanted poster of the team) were a group of Zeti that ruled the Lost Hex. The dear Doctor… “persuaded” them to join him years ago. It’s unlikely but not impossible they found some way to come to Earth without being noticed. Whoever is the perpetrator of these attacks I know our friends at the Resistance can get to the bottom of this. Now we can get back to our favorite segment Cubot and I will tell our favorite jokes and impressions .……

(Amy, Cream, and Cheese embarrassed turned back at each other to discuss the news.) 

Cream: Miss Amy, do you think that the Deadly Six are behind this? They had a point that it’s not like Red Star to attack for no reason.  (Cream concernedly asked.)

Amy: I’m not sure, it’s difficult to escape the Lost Hex. Plus with Eggman gone, nothing stops from launching an invasion using his robots. Then again mindless attacks are more of their forte, not the hooligans'. It’s something the Resistance has to look into later. 

Cream: Even if they did return, I know you won’t let them hurt anyone, right Miss Amy! (Cream exclaimed with confidence.) 

Cheese: CHAO!  (Cheese exclaims their fist in the air in agreement with Cream.) 

Amy:  I’ll make sure of it! (She exclaimed as well also putting her fists in the air) 

So Cream you were telling me about something you and Charmy found? I’d love to see it. (She asked curiously.)  

Cream: Oh right, (Cheese goes into the backpack Cream is carrying) earlier this week during a training session with Mr. Espio, Charmy and I discovered a warp ring. Of course, Charmy immediately went into it. I tried to stop him but I was dragged in as well. But lucky for us, that wasn’t just any warp ring......

Cheese:  CHAAAOOO! (Cheese pulls out something from Cream’s bag. It was a yellow diamond-shaped stone, and they immediately passed it to Cream.) 

Cream: It led straight to a Chaos Emerald, pretty cool right! (Cream bragged.)

Amy:  Wow! That’s impressive, those Special Zones are nothing to scoff at! (Amy stated supportively.) 

Cream: It was far from easy; a lot of those traps nearly got us for sure. (Shows flashback of Charmy setting off bombs and arrow launchers) I say the challenge was worth it in the end. (Cream throws the Chaos Emerald up slightly and catches it.)

Amy: Emerald hunting can be exhilarating when it’s not attached to planetary destruction. (She slightly giggles) I wished I had the time to find some myself. 

Cream: Don’t worry Miss Amy, unless something drastic happens we can find them anytime. 

Suddenly as Cream continues to toss the emerald in the air, a swift boomerang comes dashing to Cream. The emerald, remarkably close to reaching Cream’s palm, gets hit by the boomerang and they both return to the thrower. It was the Badger who found the right time to take her shiny.

???:  Yes, haha, YES! THE SHINY IS MINE HAHAHA! (She screams maniacally as she dashes from the rooftop to escape.) 

Amy, Cream, and Cheese are completely baffled by the Badger’s quick thieving of Cream’s emerald. 

Cream: (In disbelief) What the… what just happened!? 

Cheese:  Chaaaoo?! (Also in shock) 

Amy: That girl just stole your Emerald! (Also surprised) Was she watching us the whole time?! How did she… never mind we can’t let her get away! (She yelled out.) 

Cream: Right, Charmy, and I worked hard to find that Emerald, we have to get it back! (She replied passionately.) 

Cheese: CHAO! (In agreement with Cream.) 

Cream presses a button on one of her dark gray bracelets. A sparkle of orange and magenta light appears around her. Those sparkles of light begin to engulf her entire body leaving only her head untouched. After a few seconds, the lights around her begin to falter, revealing a robotic dress colored orange, dark gray, and yellow. Amy takes out the combat clothes she packed just for the occasion. As Amy brings the clothes close to her she starts to spin around so quickly that it looks like a pink tornado. Her old dress flings right to the floor after a few seconds pass. The “tornado” slows down and reveals Amy wearing the combat outfit; it was still red and white but accented with golden buttons, and a heart-shaped buckle. Cheese joins in with what Amy and Cream are doing, tightening their bowtie and giving a determined look. Team Jubilee runs off to catch the Badger and get the Chaos Emerald back.
