"My mother told me many stories when she was still alive. I always wanted to see the world outside of this castle, outside of this room." The little fox looked down on the floor. "But how were you even able to enter this room the barrier should've blocked you."

"What barrier?" There was a barrier? I haven't noticed.

"Eh?" For some reason the fox looked very confused. "So you really don't have any magic power. What the hell are you?"

"I'm an undead, to be precise the undead king."

"The undead king?! That explains how you were able to enter the room. This was a barrier to block magic power. The magic power or mana flows through the mana veins, but you don't have any mana veins."

"But I have a magic core and you spirits don't have a body either. Why does it work on spirits but not on me?"

"The barrier works because the body of a spirit is made out of mana. It's the same for undeads. They can't enter because of the magic core if they try to enter the mana inside of the core would disappear and they die. But the undead king just revives himself." I think that makes sense. And because my body and magic core weren't destroyed I didn't go to hell.

"I understand that but just because I entered, the barrier didn't disappear right?"

"When you entered the room you created a hole inside of the barrier which destroyed it." She began to jump around in the room.

"Ok, then what is this contract you metioned before? Is it some kind of master-servant thing?"

"Yes something like that. From now on I'll be your familiar. That means our souls are connected and you are now able to use my magic power." So I can use magic now?

"Then how do I use magic? And how does it work?" I hope it's easy like: "Just imagine how you use it." But I'm sure it isn't.

"Normally you have to feel the mana flow inside your mana veins. After that you have to lead the mana to the place where you want it and change its form to the one you want. If you want fire you have to imagine how the mana flow slowly turns into fire when it reaches you hand. But I don't know how an undead uses magic." That's true. I don't have mana veins.

"The how do you spirits use magic? You don't have any mana veins aswell." I sat down on the floor.

She sat down in front of me. "We spirits use the mana in the air. We have to feel how the mana flow becomes one with our body and the change the form of the mana. Your core absorbs the mana inside of the air, maybe you can use magic the same way as spirits do?"

"I'll give it a try." I closed my eyes, or what ever it is that I use to see, and tried to feel the mana flow. I don't know how it looks, so I can't imagine it. Wait, maybe it's this strange purple thing from when I talked to Ai-E? Oh I think I can see it. 

"I think it works. Now lead it to your hand and change the form of the mana flow." I tried to lead the mana to my hand and imagined how it becomes fire. "Stop! Your body is on fire!" I opened my eyes and saw my whole body burning. "Turn it back to its original form."

"Turn it back?! How?" I began to panic.

"Don't panic. It became your mana when you absorbed it. It can't hurt you." The fire still didn't go away. "Wait I'll do it." Suddenly the fire disappeared.

"Huh? What did you do and why was my body on fire?"

"Since its originally my magic power I can control it, aslong as you allow me to do so. You forgot to lead the mana to your hand and because of that the fire appeared on your core." But I'm sure I led it to my hand. "Well, let's try it again later. I haven't asked for your name.

"You're right. My name is Shio. What about you?"

"I'm Reina." 

"Reina you say? Then how about I call you Rey?"

"Yes! I mean it's ok, you can call me like that if you want. It sounds good." Her tails wag, how cute. "Then let's leave this place Shio!"

"Ah about that... There is a barrier surounding the castle. We have to get rid of it before we can leave."

"Ohhh is that so?" She looked very sad, like she would begin to cry. Isn't she over 300 years old, why does she act like a little kid? We should find a way to get out of here. Malice said something about a basement right?

"Maybe we find something in the basement, let's go take a look." She nodded and I left the room. She follewed me immediately.

"Nothing! Nothing! NOTHING! Here is nothing. Why?! How can I get out of here? Let me leave this damned castle! I was everywhere inside of this barrier, why is there no way to destroy it? No, wait. The room with the strange holy sword. But I can't open the door. Shio can't open the door aswell. All monsters are dead too, not like they could open the door" I sat down and looked at the magic ball. "Why is shio going to the basement? Wait is this a fox spirit behind him?! Good work Shio! The spirit should be able to open the door."

I went down to the second floor and opened the teleportation gate. When I left the gate I sat down in front of the basement stairs. "I just have to wait for Shio to come back." I took out the magic ball and watched Shio.
