A/N: hope you like the new chapter.

________

At first I thought I was just imagining things and that it was nothing more then a strangely formed tree. But when it moved his massive head in our direction and sniffed the air I realized it was very much alive.

Slowly the realization sunk in and I found myself unable to hold back a scream of terror. But before the sound could escape my mouth Peter pressed his large tattooed hand over my mouth. "Don't make a single noise." he growled, his hot breath tingling on my neck.

I quickly nodded, making him lower his hand and letting it rest on my shoulder.
Both of could only stare at the beast, to afraid to even blink, fearing that as soon as we did I would disappear between the thick foliage.

How is that even possible?! This can't be real!.
My brain was barely able to comprehend the situation I was in. The worst part wasn't even the beasts enormous size or it's lizard like appearance but the fact that I exactly knew what this two legged monster was.

A god damn dinosaur. I didn't know much about those things but I was still damn sure it was one and to my horror I even knew exactly what kind of dinosaur it was.
"If we don't move it can't see us right?" I whispered, my voice laced with fear and my body trembling.
Peter next to me frowned and ever so slightly shook his head. "It has eyes and a brain. It also can smell us. Even from this distance." He quietly explained without taking his eyes off it for even a second.

"But... in the movie they said...if you don't move..." I stuttered trying to apply the little bit of knowledge I had on that thing.

"Do you believe everything you see on TV?" Peter scoffed.

Well.... yes?

Because I had been locked up in an asylum for most of my life, I didn't have many options when it came to getting information about the outside world, Television and books were kinda the only option when it came to teaching me how stuff worked.
Besides even 'normal' people probably wouldn't have known what to do in this kind of situation. It wasn't like you just stumbled into a seventeen feet tall, carnivorous dinosaur in the woods on a daily basis. This kind of shit just didn't happen normally.

My thoughts got drawn back to the problem at hand when I noticed the beast was slowly stalking towards us.
Panicked I turned towards Peter and pulled on the hem of his tshirt to get his attention. "Get us out of here. Peter please! I don't want to get eaten!" I whimpered but he just hushed me and closed his eyes.

I quickly looked over my shoulder to see where the beast was. To my horror I saw that it was now way too close for comfort. Once again I tried to beg Peter to bring us back immediately but to no avail. He just stood there, with his eyes closed, ignored my pleading entirely.

The loud thumping noise was getting closer with every passing second. With shaking knees I mentally prepared myself to run for my life, even though I knew I had no chance in out running that monster.

I was in full on panic mode while Peter on the other hand seemed just as calm as always. He didn't even flinch when I repeatedly slapped his arm and screamed at the top of my lungs for him to do something.

A glance over my shoulder once again, almost getting a heart attack from what I saw.
The thing was no longer just slowly walking towards us but instead had started running and was picking up speed quite quickly.
Out of sheer desperation I screamed Peter's name and this time hit his arm as strong as I could but again nothing.

If he really wants to end up as a dinosaur snack, fine but I'm not give up that easily!
I spinned around and darted off. But to my horror I didn't get far, maybe just a few feet before Peter had wrapped his strong arms around my waist and dragged me back to the spot we had been standing in. I kicked and screamed, telling him to let me go but he just tightened his grip, making it almost feel like my spine was about to break.

I quickly looked in the direction of the monster. A high pitched screamed was all I managed when I saw it opening it's mouth and running at full speed twords us.

It had gotten so close enough that I could see its crocodile like teeth, that were almost as long as my forearm.
I panicked even more and grabbed onto Peter for dear life, burrowing my face intohis neck. Just a second later the dinosaurs powerful jaws closed around us.

Dieing doesn't feel as bad as I had thought. I thought, having expected it to be way more painful but instead it felt more like a punch in the stomach paired with the feeling of falling.

For a few minutes it was dead silent, until  a me by now quite familiar voice suddenly spoke up. "Hey guys. Welcome back." Preston nonchalantly greeted us.

It took me a moment to process but then I understood what had happened. Slowly I opened my eyes and lifted my head from Peter's shoulder and looked around. We where once again back in the padded room. The door was now closed and Preston was sitting on the floor, fumbling around with a key ring but otherwise it looked just the same as before. I breathe a sigh of relief and let my head fall back onto the blonds shoulder.

After giving me a few more minutes to calm down Peter carefully let me down. My knees were still a little bit wobbly from everything that had happened, so I leaned half of my weight against the tall guy for support.
I looked up at him, the memories of the events playing over and over again in my mind.
"TIME TRAVEL IS REALLY!" I screeched when the realization of what happened finally sinking in completely. "But how? Why? What?"

Peter sight and rolled his eyes, seemingly bothered by my overly emotional state.
He opened his mouth to answer but before he could the dark haired man interrupted him. "Uhm could we maybe do the explaining later? I don't think I can handle this any longer." Preston asked. When I  turned around to argue with him, I saw that his nose was heavily bleeding and that he had become quite pale.

Before I could question what was wrong with him, Peter pushed me away, walked over to Preston. The blond quickly grabbed the dark skinned man's arm, pulled him to his feet and put his arm around his waist to help him stand. He then opened the door and rudely told me to move my ass before walking off with Preston.

"Where are we going?" I questioned while awkwardly stumbling after them through the darkened hospital corridor. Peter just outright ignored me, so I looked to Preston, hoping to get a better answer from him. Even though he seemed a little bit light headed he still noticed that I was looking at him. With a goofy grin he leaned his had down to me and said "I don't know but any road will get us there."
