Despite how much it hurt them both, Lycos understood why Enzo felt he needed to do this. All Lycos asked for was that Enzo came back to him. Enzo left with a heavy heart to embark on his journey of healing. Lycos did not know how long his journey was going to take, but he knew that he would wait a lifetime if it meant that Enzo would be happy and be with him. Enzo carried Lycos's heart just as he held Enzo's.

Years had passed since Enzo left, and not a single day went by that he didn't miss his mate. Little did Enzo know that Lycos felt just the same. When Enzo finally made it to his childhood home, he was overwhelmed with emotion. Enzo found the tree that he promised to bury Natalie underneath and set her to rest.

Where I grew was beautiful and filled with many memories both good and bad. Not being able to help myself I followed the path from the tree to my old house. I stood in the tree line looking from a distance. Content I turned to leave.
CRACK
I paused...
Behind me stood a massive grey wolf. I knew right from the start that this wasn't any wolf it was a werewolf just like me… and that wasn't the only thing. Just one whiff of the wolf told me it was my father and he just caught me on his territory.
Well fuck, isn't this great?
I watched as he sniffed at me trying to figure out how he knew my smell. Just as I thought, the bastard doesn't even remember who I am. I honestly should probably feel sad or heartbroken over that, but I don't in fact I find it quite hilarious.
"Well isn't this a sight a father can even recognize his own son", I laughed at him as he shifted. "What do you mean? Who are you?" I smirked at him. "You really don't know? I just told you. I. Am. Your. Son." "Your lying I only have two son's one is dead and the other is with a pack far from here. So I ask you once again. Who. Are. You?" "Looks like you just don't get it," sigh, "did they tell you I was dead, or did you just assume that. But, I guess it makes sense that a father wouldn't be able to recognize the son he threw away." His jaw dropped open. "It can't be…, they said…" "Well, they lied. Now, if you excuse me I must take my leave and make my journey back home. Also, it might be in your best interest to know that your daughter is dead. She was killed by rogues." "Natalie is…" "Yes, she is."
When Natalie first died it had been really hard on me I couldn't think let alone say her name with thought crying. Now it is nothing but a dull sting. I accepted her death, the only thing I can do is live on because that is what she would have wanted. Before I was able to leave my father stopped me. "I doubt you traveled this far to tell me your sister is dead. So, why are you out here?" "I was just fulfilling an old promise. I honestly was hoping you were dead." I sneered at him as I said the last part and began walking away. I shifted into my wolf and ran off.
