Sienna's pov
"Sienna?" Dad called from the bottom of the stairs as I was just about to get dressed for bed in my room. I was currently wearing a light pink summer dress with a white cardigan and white small heels. My brown hair was tied up in a bun and I had just removed my makeup.
"Yes Dad," I replied.
"There are some people here to see you,"
"Who are they?"
"Come down and you'll see,"
"Ok give me 2 minutes," I said.
I didn't know who was there to see me but I couldn't meet them without any make up on so I quickly applied some primer to my face and lined the top of my eye with a thin line of eyeliner.
When I was done I slowly walked down the stairs and stood outside the living room door where I could hear muffled voices but couldn't make out their words. I took a deep breath before walking into the living room. Dad was sitting on a couch but he wasn't alone.
Across him sat a middle aged man that everyone knew to be David Anderson the best lawyer in town. David had black hair with bits of grey and brown eyes with a very serious facial features but who was that sitting next to him? It was a man who looked exactly like David but younger with a soft facial expression and more defined features. I guess he is quite handsome. He was looking right at me and wouldn't pull his gaze away from me so I looked at Dad instead.
"Ah Sienna there you are, come and sit here," Dad said patting the couch beside him. I did as I was told and looked at the ground to avoid looking at the handsome guy but I just knew he was still looking my way and it was making me feel a little self conscious.
"Hi I'm David Anderson and this is my son Jack," David said to me, I looked up then to be polite.
"Nice to meet you I'm Sienna," I replied with a smile.
"Sienna your father's told me so much good things about you and I know now that Jack has made the right decision to accept your father's proposal,"
I gasped. What the hell is he talking about, what proposal? It's the first time I've heard of it.
"What are you talking about?" I asked in confusion.
"Sweetie remember we talked about this. You agreed to marry Jack in a few weeks," Dad said quickly before I could say anymore.
"Good the wedding will be prepared for 2 weeks today. We have to go now, we have a meeting in an hour. It was nice to finally meet you Sienna and I'm sure you and Jack would like to talk some other time," David said and Jack looked disappointed but I was fuming by then. How could Dad have arranged a marriage for me and accepted without asking me first? I have no intentions of marrying anybody and now it looks like I will be a married woman in two weeks time.
"Don't worry, everything will be sorted for the wedding within the time left. I've already got people on the case but we must go now," David turned to his son and dragged him out of our house.
"What the hell was that?" I asked my father angrily when it was just the two of us.
"That was your new family," Dad replied.
"I don't agree to this marriage,"
"You don't have to agree. You don't have a choice. You will marry Jack Anderson in two weeks whether you want to or not,"
"Why?"
"Because I said so,"
"I hate you,"
"You can hate me all you want but this wedding will happen," Dad stated firmly.
I couldn't take it anymore, I ran up to my room and slammed the door shut. I jumped onto my bed and cried my heart out. How could he do this to me? My own father is forcing me to marry someone I don't even know. I can't marry Jack Anderson or I'll be stuck with him forever in an unhappy marriage. What am I going to do?
