Bathroom Nightmares
Ricky’s eyes fluttered open, and he stretched and looked at the obnoxious princess clock in the middle of Ren’s night stand, 4:00 A.M. Groaning as he moved, he rolled over to look at Ren, attempting to pry his arm from the other boy's tight grasp.
“Fuck Ren, I need to piss.” Wincing, Ricky managed to wiggle his arm free without waking Mr. Sleeping Beauty. Scowling as his legs wobbled, he limped over to Ren’s door; it opened with a loud creek.
If Ren hadn’t been such an abnormally heavy sleeper, he would have woken up by now, as Ricky had by no means quietly exited the room.
Limping down the hall, Ricky managed to get to the bathroom without waking the entire Pepper family. He momentarily stood in front of the toilet before feeling a cool breeze. His eyes wandered over to the window on the far side of the bathroom; it was open, strange.
Not taking his eyes off the open window, Ricky slowly backed out of the room, jumping at least 2 feet in the air as bumped into something behind him. “What the- mhhh.” A large hand covered his mouth, while the other snaked around his waist.
Yeah no…
Ricky tasted blood as he sunk his teeth into the hand that was silencing him, whilst stomping down hard on their unsuspecting foot. He then took a small step forwards, donkey kicking them in the groin. Now freed from his assailant's tight grasp, Ricky turned to face them, surprised when he saw a lanky, blue haired boy.
“William?” he questioned the boy who was hunched over, groaning. “Yes,” William whimpered in response.
Fuck, it was William. “Why’d you break in through the window and sneak up on me?” Ricky asked out right, too tired to play any games with the blue-haired boy. “Well I felt bad for leaving you in a hurry so I wanted to see you, and I couldn’t wait till the morning; I just couldn’t.” William explained, still hunched over, holding his groin. Ricky snickered at the sight, “serves you right for sneaking up on me like that. Also, you still haven’t told me why you decided it would be best to sneak up behind me and grab me in the dark!” Ricky looked at William and crossed his arms, as if to prove his annoyance with the situation. “IT’S NOT FUNNY RICKY!” Unable to maintain his annoyed state, Ricky burst out laughing again, this time louder and more cynical. William nervously looked at the messy-haired boy, deciding not to comment on the abnormal burst of laughter he produced.
“I, erm, grabbed you cause I thought it’d be kinda hot.” William confessed, trying to break the awkward silence created by Ricky’s laughter. “YOU THOUGHT WHAT?!” Ricky burst out laughing again. “Yes, ambushing me at 4 in the morning while I’m trying to take a piss is soooo hot.” He giggled, lightly slapping a blushing William on the shoulder. “I said I thought!” The lanky boy exclaimed. “Obviously I was wrong, and now I won’t be able to have kids thanks to you!” He scowled at the smaller boy in front of him. “Oh stop being a baby, I didn’t kick you that hard.” Ricky laughed. “I am not a baby” William roughly grabbed the other boy's face, bringing it closer to his own.
Ricky pried Williams' large fingers from his jaw, then walked around behind the blue-haired idiot, pushing him towards the window. “Now, if you’ll kindly excuse yourself, I need to get back to Ren’s room before he realizes I’m missing.”
“What no-” William started to say, until Ricky roughly shoved him out the window. “RICKY THAT WAS NOT COO-” Ignoring William, he closed the window, making sure to lock it. “Fucking bastard sneaking up on me.” Ricky muttered to himself as he limped back to Ren’s Room.
“No, STOP, please NO!” Ren whimpered while he tossed and turned. Ricky groaned, annoyed. He had just dealt with one dumbass, and now he had to deal with annother. “Shut up!” Ricky slapped his friend hard on the shoulder, and the pale boy gasped as he awoke.
He was panting and frantically looking around the room, relaxing when he saw a pair of green eyes staring at him. Ren often had nightmares like these, apparently it was common for people with PTSD to experience such things.
“You were about to give yourself an asthma attack, you’re welcome.” Ricky smiled, making Ren feel sort of uneasy.
People often said Ricky had a horrifying smile, the kind of smile some deranged killer would make before stabbing his victim, and Ren never really saw it, until now.
“Erm, you okay Ricky?” The light-haired boy asked nervously. “Yes, sorry. I was just thinking about how I was going to meet up with my new friend.” Ricky forced a wider smile in an attempt to cure Ren’s nerves. “Oh!” Ren exclaimed. “Have I met them before?” He looked at the messy haired boy, eager for an answer. Ricky laughed at Ren’s sudden change in demeanor. “I don’t think you’d want to date this guy Ren.” the green-eyed boy snickered as Ren’s face flushed.
Ricky enjoyed making Ren blush, after all, his skin was so fair it looked as though his entire head turned into a tomato every time he was embarrased. Ricky let out a dark chuckle, finding the sight of a beat-red Ren to be quite comical.
“Anyways, to answer your question, yes, I believe you have seen him once before. Unfortunately, I’m afraid that was likely the last time you, or anyone else, will ever see him.” Ricky said with a giggle. “It’s a shame you don’t remember.” The fair-skinned boy looked at Ricky confused. “What do you mean by that?! Why won’t anyone ever see him again?!”
Stifling a gasp as he realized what he just said, Ricky quickly covered his slip up, telling Ren that his friend was moving away forever, so no one living in the PineCrest suburb would ever see him again.
“Oh that makes sense,” Ren said, letting out a shaky breath, “I know this will probably sound funny to you, but it sounded like you were planning to kill him or something haha.”
I am… Ricky couldn’t tell his friend that though.
