"Why did you call me suddenly?" Heirra asked.

"Nothing. Just stay with me. I'll get back inside my condominium after ten minutes." Chrisia said.

"Be honest. I don't know why you're so cold sometimes, but the fact you called me means that something is wrong. Now tell me or I'll kick you out of my car." Heirra said.

Chrisia stayed quiet for a while.

"The four of us are friends. I know that they wouldn't do that. I mean why would we. Besides, these past few days some weird shits have been happening to us four. Accidents keep on happening, it's like someone wants to kill us. We were actually glad to be suspects. This means that we are protected by the police." Chrisia confessed.

" And the truth is, I couldn't sleep. I felt as if someone was watching me. I just felt scared you know. The other day when the four of us were outside. A vase fell from the sky and I almost got hit. Grace and the others also experience this kind of stuff you know." Chrisia said

Who in the world would do that? Man, she's scared. What should I do? Heirra thought.

Heirra suddenly hugged Chrisia and the car fell into silence.

"To tell you the truth, I did have a hunch that you guys weren't the real murderers you know?" Heirra spoke slowly.

Heirra realizing that Chrisia might not be comfortable with what she stopped hugging Chrisia.

"Sorry for what I did suddenly," Heirra said, feeling shy.

Damn That was embarrassing. I just suddenly hugged her. I never thought she'd be this vulnerable. She thought.

"Hey don't give me that look. I'm actually glad you hugged me and also believe that I'm not the murderer at all." Chrisia said.

"You know that it's almost eleven in the evening, Chris. If you're still unable to sleep in your apartment, you can sleep in mine." Heirra offered.

"I'm fine I promise. Don't worry I'll still help you with Grace. I'll tell her how nice you are." she said sarcastic and joking ways.

"Nope. We're off to my apartment." Heirra drove her car to her apartment which is a twenty-minute drive.

"Really officer? I really hate you. I already told you I'm fine right?" Chrisia said coldly.

"What great mood swings you have there Princess. One time you need my help, and next, you're cold. Besides, call me Heirra or Hei. Drop the officer." Heirra said chuckling.

Chrisia just stayed quiet until the song "Wrong Direction" came on.

Heirra then starts singing along.

"You like this song?" Chrisia asked.

"I really like it. Reminds me of the time I fell for my friend."

" Why are you telling me your about secrets?"

"You told me yours so I'll tell you mine? Besides, I trust you." Heirra said with her silly smile.

" You know-" before Chrisia could continue,

Heirra spoke, " Say my name come on." She said while driving.

"Fine. You know Heirra. I once dated this guy, he told me that I have trust issues. That's why we broke up. I really loved him. He's my Wrong Direction."

"Chris, do tell about your trust issues with him, I'm sure there must be past events that contribute to your trust issues."

"My parents and I aren't on good terms. They lie frequently and tell me it's for my sake. I became aware of it when I was thirteen years old." Chrisia explained.

After their small talk, they finally arrived at Heirra's apartment.

"Here are some clothes you can change into," Heirra said.

"Your clothes smell okay," Chrisia said.

"I think what you meant was nice so thank you."

"Here's the bed. We can sleep together." Heirra said.

" Sleep on the couch," Chrisia said seriously as she positioned herself on Heirra's bed.

"What? This is my house you know. Let's sleep together. Don't be such a party pooper." Heirra said as she jumped near where Chrisia was positioned.

"You have so much energy I swear," Chrisia said.

"Well here's the blanket. You might catch a cold." Heirra stopped as she noticed that Chrisia had already fallen asleep.

Welp she is cuter when she sleeps.

Heirra moved a little closer.

She also smelled nice. If only we had a better encounter, well I do wonder how Grace is doing. Heirra thought to herself before also falling asleep.

"Why are you hugging me?" Heirra asked.

Their faces were only four inches apart and Chrisia is still hugging her.

"Wake up! Come on wake up." Heirra said.

"I have no work today so let me sleep more. Please. I'll lea-"

"I have no problem with you crashing at my place just let go of me. A-and stop hugging me." Heirra said, stuttering the last sentence.

Chrisia's eyes were still closed so only Heirra is aware of how close their faces are.

"What are you a kid? Making such a big fuss over this. I thought- never mind," Chrisia said as she turned away from Heirra.

"Thought what?" Heirra asked

"Nothing. I'll sleep a bit more. You still have work right? Don't worry I'll leave your apartment by afternoon." Chrisia said.

Heirra ran to the bathroom to get a shower and get ready for work. She usually skips breakfast.

"Captain Heirra, what do you think about this case? A girl was raped and she's still in the hospital. Her big brother who came back here from another city recently is pressuring us to find the one who raped her. Her dad was also the one who called the police while crying. My team and I need your help with this." Lieutenant Garth asked he is temporarily leading the homicide team since Heirra is busy with a current case.

Heirra's homicide team consists of eight officers. One is herself, an assistant head, and six other detectives in Winford. 

They are known to be very capable of Heirra's leadership. Although Windford is a large city, Heirra teams are already capable of crime investigation and solving. She also engages in supervising activities of patrols when needed. Chief Deputy Jared Winther is in charge of all the police officers in another city and gives the information of the crimes to the Heirra's team. They are like partners in crime just like old times. 

It was Officer Jared who assisted Captain Heirra. After Heirra was promoted to be a captain, Jared who was a Sergeant was promoted as a chief deputy.

"I can see from the information from this file that her mother's been long gone. She was only with her father. She was found outside at the back of their house."

"Saw anything fishy inside the house? Any blood?" Heirra continued

"Blood inside the house? Don't tell me you suspect the dad?" Lieutenant Garth asked

"I'm not sure. I've seen cases like this. besides these pictures, you showed me. I mean she might have tried to escape her house and tried to climb up the window. Here in this picture, you see her head? I think someone might have smashed her head with something to prevent her from escaping." Heirra continued

"Before I forget, the doctor in charge told me that this was the first time the girl had been raped in a long time. The doctor was also sure that her last intercourse was about two years ago."

" So it's not the father alright. I think you already know the answer." Heirra said

"I think it's her brother."

"That's what I also think. Her last intercourse was two days before her brother left for Foxfill, and she was raped a day after her brother arrived." Heirra said.

"There's one more thing Garth. I think that this case isn't rape. I believe it might be mutual." Heirra added.

Garth left quickly after Heirra said that.

Well, I believe I'll go on patrol for a while. This city is peaceful as fuck. Crimes only happen almost once a year, but they're difficult to handle. Like this one.
