Seven Episode 2

 For the first official day of school students start in their class assigned home rooms. In class z, Sir Vey speaks, “Today we will begin with some introduction. First you will tell the class your name, your ET, a little about yourself and why you want to become a protector in the ETF. This will also be your first chance to choose a place holder “protector’s name”, although this name won’t be official until you graduate. Who wants to go first?” A bunch of students raise their hands eagerly, but Skylar just stands up from her seat and walks to the front of the class. “My name is Skylar, and remember that because I will be the world's greatest protector, and I'm not here to make friends, I'm here to get stronger so I can take out every last bad guy in this damn country!”…. There was an awkward silence for a few moments as most of the class was slightly intimidated. Then at the same time as the atmosphere settled everyone nodded and began to clap. “Oh and my ET is a wind type, I can manipulate the air around me as a weapon or for movement through the air. And my protector's name is also skylar.” While the students speak, Sir Vey uses his scanning ET to identify the type of ET they have, as well as their current power level. (the power level is the percentage they have developed their ET to its maximum). Skylar's power level is at 16%. As Skylar walks back to her seat Danny thinks back to the time that the 3 of them chose their names. Brock chose "Barock" and we all laughed . "The greatest protector ever, Barock!!" Skylar said sarcastically. "I don't need to make up a name to be a protector because I was born for this." Brock rolled his eyes. "What about you Danny?" "Honestly, I don't know... I don't even have an ET so I don't know where to begin."They all thought for a minute, "Seven!" Brock yelled. "Uh, why?" Danny asked. "Because instead of an ET you got seven circles on your neck!" they all laughed hysterically. At the time it was a joke, but the name grew on him and now that his late friend has passed he officially decided that would be his name. After a couple more students introduce themselves to the class Danny raises his hand next and walks to the front of the class. "My name is Daniel Combs, and my ET is to... ". Danny forgot that he still did not understand if he actually had an ET or not, nor what it was. He remembers back to the physical exam, and how he was able to throw the ball farther than anyone in the class. "My ET is to throw things really far. and -" Sir Vey stopped him, "That's not an ET Mr. Combs". The entire class laughed. He then scanned Danny with his ET. * ET: unknown / power level: 1% * "Let's just say you have a super power ET... continue". "At first I had a dream just to protect my friends as they were the ones with dreams of protecting the world. But, due to recent events in my life, my conviction to become stronger has grown exponentially. My dreams died along with the death of my best friend. I won't let his dreams die as well. I will be the strongest and I will save everyone and fix the corruption in our cities." Danny said emotionally. After a pause Danny confidently said, "I will be the greatest protector". Skylar smirked to herself. "Very interesting group here.." Sir Vey thought to himself. The last few students made their introductions then sir vey instructed the class to follow him to the nurses office where they will undergo a physical health exam. On the way Skylar asks about Danny's ET. "So do you think you really have it? brocks super power? how is that even possible!?" "I'm not sure, but it feels different than how Brock explained his et. He said that after eating the fruit he could feel his power coursing through his body constantly. But for me it only seems to activate when I force it too... if I can at all." "Well no matter what that power ends up being, I'm still gonna be the world's greatest protector" Skylar said as she punched Danny in the arm. He smiled as they arrived at the nurses office. 

One by one the students go inside to get their exam. During Danny's exam the nurse notices the seven circles on his neck. She doesn't say anything at first, and continues with the exam. After the exam is over, Danny turns to exit the office. The nurse called out "I’d cover that neck if I were you...." Danny stops in his tracks and slowly turns around. "There are bad people in this world. Vastly worse than the everyday criminals you will encounter in the force, and they would go to the greatest of lengths to obtain the power you hold." "What do you mean? What power is that!?" Danny asks, completely shocked and worried. The tone of her voice deepened "In time you will realize the true power of your ET. For the time being you are in the safest place you can be, just train hard to master your power and build bonds with your peers. The teachers and protectors within the etfa will be looking after you... have a nice day!" The nurse said cheerily with a sudden change of tone. “That wasn't weird at all…” Danny thought to himself as he walked out of the office. Back in the classroom everyone is handed a packet. Inside is a detailed meal and workout plan based on the information gathered on them and their ET’s during the trials and the exam. They are then dismissed for the day to finish unpacking and settling in their dorm, and to finish their "personalized workouts". On the way Danny and Skylar get some food from the cafeteria. The ETFA cafeteria is huge, and the school has chefs from all around the world come in every day! Today there was a chef from the Philippines, Skylar and Danny, both got spicy pork adobo and found a spot to eat in the lounge/game area. "Greatest protector of all time , eh?" Someone says as they walk through the door into the lounge area. "Who's asking?" Skylar asks as she and Danny both turn to the door but no one is there. "Me" he says, now right in Skylars ear behind her. She jumps back scared but quickly regains composure. The guy laughs then says "Split-Second" Skylar remembers his class introduction. 

*flash back* 

"And my name is split second! I end the battle in the blink of an eye". She also remembers his scores in the exams. He placed 3rd in both the physical and written tests. "Oh the teleport guy... What do you want, fool?" Skylar rolls her eyes. "Judging by the test scores, I'd say you’re the fool," he said back. "Judging by your face, I'd say it needs to be punched." Skylar snapped at him. "Woah woah, take it easy... I'll see you around greatest protector" then he vanished. Danny and Skylar decide to head back to their dorms to unpack and do their work outs. As Danny gets to his room he phone buzzes. It is a text from his mom reading "love you danny!! do your best!! (with some smileys and a picture of her and his sister)."

*flash to one of the school teachers who has been lurking in the background during the testing and medical examinations*

He arrives at an abandoned building and once he gets inside he shapeshifts into a girl who looks to be around 16-17 years old. She walks into a room where the group of criminals from before are sitting around a table in the living room. "Zero sir.... I think we found him. He doesn't seem to know the true nature of his ET yet," she explained. "Then the time to strike is now... his power will be mine, and the world will know The Eradication Army!!" Zero yelled . Some of the criminals chuckled "....what happened to the obliterators?" One asked. "The name isn't important, it's a work in progress... as long as we get that boy's power we can create the world we desire."

*skip forward 2 weeks*

Danny and four of his classmates are on a team in the middle of an exercise against 5 other classmates. On Danny's team is; him, Seven - ET: super strength, Split-Second - ET: teleportation, Ice-E - ET: Ice, Em-kay Ultra - ET: mind control and Megabat - ET: echolocation. On the other team is; Skylar - ET: wind, Shrink - ET: shrink, Re-Pete - ET: duplicate, Beauty Sleep - ET: sleep. and Human Shield - ET: barrier. The exercise is basically cops vs robbers. Skylar's team is trying to steal the objective and take it back to their base. Danny's team is trying to protect the objective and detain the enemy team by delivering them to the police (escorting them to their base). Both teams start the same distance from the obj on opposing sides of the training area. The horn sounds off and the training exercise begins. Both teams race to the center where the objective is stationed. "Although for only a moment at a time, now that I am able to activate my ET on command Split-Second and I should have no problem getting to the obj first, as the other team doesn't have anyone with a speed ability,'' Danny thought to himself. Megabat used his echolocation to pinpoint the location of the obj. "The obj is located at the top floor of the center building!" he called though the earpiece as Danny and Split-Second made their way ahead of the group. As they arrived at the building he thought his team got there first but he was wrong.

Danny runs up to the top floor and runs into a room where Re-Pete is standing where the objective should be but is missing. "Skylar told me you'd be the one to show up first. You may be smart, but I saw your performance in the physical exam. I'll deal with you quickly and back up the rest of the team, who should already be on the way back to the base by now." Re-Pete said as he got in stance ready to fight. "The other team is already in possession of the obj!" Danny called out to his team through his ear piece. "I'm here with Re-Pete now, I'll join you once I deal with him. Split-Second, teleport Megabat to the top of the building to scout the location of the others, and help Em-kay and Ice-E into position as well. I'm counting on you!" "Yeah yeah, just don't lose, Re-Pete probably has the best hand to hand combat skill in the class right now and in such a small space he's really in his element." At that moment Re-Pete split into 3 of himself and charged at Danny. "If i can just restrain him, I can deliver him to Em-kay and have her mind control him to the police, then help the others with Skylar and Shrink. I know they will be a handful... I just need to find an opening,” Danny thought.

On the roof, Split-Second drops off Megabat. "You heard Danny, pin point their locations, I'm going to grab Em-kay and Ice-E," He teleports back down to the base of the building, "Ice-E you stay ground level, check the bottom floor of the building and make your way towards their base." Split-Second then teleports himself and Em-kay to the opposite side of the training area to the base of the enemy team. "From here we will sandwich them as they head to bring the obj back to their base". They start making their way from the enemy base back towards the obj, then Ice-E yells out on the earpiece,

“Skylar just left the building, she's flying from the roof towards their base with the obj on her back!" Split-Second responded back on the mic, "how!?” Megabat is supposed to be up there! Megabat what's going on?". There was no response from, but Split-Second spotted Human Shield and Beauty Sleep headed towards them on foot. They hadn't noticed Split-Second or Em-kay yet so Split-Second teleports Em-kay behind them and then appears directly in front of them. "So who wants to go to jail first?" Split-Second asks with a smirk. Human Shield and Beauty Sleep prepare to fight but from behind Em-kay Ultra walks up and puts her hand on Beauty Sleep's shoulder and takes control of her mind. "It's time for you to sleep buddy" she then controls beauty sleep and forces her to put Human Shield to sleep, and carry him."I have to stay in range for my mind control to work so I will escort them back to the jail," just then Split-Second spotted Skylar in the air, he teleported above her and went to strike her down, but mid swing Shrink who was shrunken down hiding on skylars back expanded back to normal size and blocked the strike. Split-Second grabbed Shrink’s hand and teleported him in front of Ice-e, who then froze him in place in a huge block of ice. Skylar dropped down from the sky in front of Split-Second and Ice-e. "I didn't want to embarrass you like this but I guess I'll have to". Skylar, Split-Second, and Ice-e face off. Skylar wins the fight with ease  and heads back to base with the obj in hand. "you idiots never stood a chance".

Meanwhile Danny and Re-Pete are facing off in the building. Both Danny and Re-Pete look pretty beat up and worn out. Re-Pete says "I heard your little speech about wanting to be the greatest ever..." They trade a few blows back and forth. "But it's time to face reality" Re-Pete kicks Danny from behind and he flies forward into the wall. Danny slowly stands up. "I may not be the greatest now..." Danny charges at Re-Pete. He lands a few hits, "but i work my hardest every day" Danny grabs Re-Pete's main body. "So that when the time comes and my friends are in danger" Danny pulls Re-Pete towards him and lands a hard punch to his gut. "I will be the greatest, and protect everyone". Re-Pete coughs and falls to the ground in fetal position. "Sorry, Re-Pete,'' Danny said softly, then ran toward the exit of the building and called out on the microphone, "Split-Second, what's the situation out th-" BRRINNG!!! The siren rang signaling the end of the exercise. "Exercise complete, the criminal team wins!" An automated voice called out on the speakers.
