Gaurav and Pratik don’t have any words after listening to the King. Gaurav was standing near Pratik when this discussion was going on. Gaurav left the scroll on the table, and Pratik picked it and was rechecking it. Because he wanted to make sure that the mark in the scroll and the one on his shoulder is the same, he wondered how the king of this kingdom knows about the pattern on them. He was checking the scroll, and droplets of water fell on it.

Pratik rose his head to see from where they have fallen. They were the tears flowing from Gaurav’s eyes. Gaurav was sobbing by facing the king. “ What happened Gaurav. ” asked Pratik. But he did not reply and started walking towards the king “ When a person with this mark is very important to your kingdom, why did you let her die. ” said Gaurav, walking towards the king slowly by clenching his fist.

Pratik, Zoya, and those commandos of Mrs.Roy’s team could not understand what Gaurav was talking about. “ Gaurav!! Wait!! ” yelled Mrs.Roy. Gaurav did not stop. “ Why did you let her die? ” Gaurav was saying these words repeatedly. The soldiers at the door started running towards Gaurav, pointing their spears at him. When they were close to Gaurav, the First Guardian raised his palm indicating those soldiers to stop. They stopped where they are.

Gaurav stood before the king and asked again, “ Why did you let her die? She also has this mark, then why did you let her die? ” Then King patted Gaurav’s head “ I am sorry Gaurav. I was unable to send the Guardian Knights in time to save you and your sister. It was our mistake due to which she is not with us now. I am really sorry. ” 

“ No, it was not your mistake. If I was not very stubborn at that time it may not have happened. ” said Gaurav.

“ You cannot blame yourself for that. You cannot change the past, accept the responsibilities of the Guardian Knight and help other innocent lives by stopping the means by which they have trouble. ” said the First Guardian.

Then Pratik got up and said, “ I am in ” 

“ What!! ” said Gaurav.

“ I like doing crazy things. What is craziest thing to than hunting down some weird beasts. ” 

Pratik accepted their request and they were waiting for Gaurav’s. Gaurav closed his eyes and recollected the al the memories of his life. His birth, his childhood, that incident, going abroad to live with his uncle, coming back again without knowing the reason, sudden encounter with the beasts, and at last...entering this kingdom. He did not find any incident where he was helpful to anyone. Instead, he always caused trouble to everyone. 

He made his parents trouble at the time of that incident. However, his Uncle was happy to look after Gaurav. Gaurav always felt that he is a burden to his uncle. He dragged a girl whom he doesn’t even know into trouble. He thought that this is a chance to do something great. To be useful for something and made up his mind.

He opened his eyes, “ I am doing this. I accept to be the world’s next Guardian Knight. ” 

King, First Guardian, Mrs.Roy, and everyone was happy except one of Mrs.Roy’s teammates. She was not only a teammate but also Mrs.Roy’s good friend. She was looking glum. 

“ You all can rest for today, let’s leave the rest of the talk for tomorrow. ” said the King and ordered his soldiers to arrange rooms for them. They have set seven rooms. Two of them are in one room. Gaurav and Pratik were in one room. Zoya and Mrs.Roy in one, and commandos settled in the other rooms.

Gaurav, and Pratik entered room. The room was more than enough for the two of them.

“ They said, this room is only for two. ” said Gaurav.

“ Yes!! But I think almost everyone who came with us can fit in this. ” said Pratik. 

Even the others went to their rooms and freshened up. The one who felt upset when Gaurav agreed went to Mrs.Roy’s room. 

“ What brings you here A112. ” said Mrs.Roy

“ Roy you can just call me Katherine. We are off the day. ” said that commando.

“ Ok. What brings you here. ”

“ Are you ok with this. ”

“ With what! ”

“ Gaurav, accepting some dangerous mission which can risk his life. ”

‘Sighs’

“ Is their anything bad in that. ”

“ No, it’s not but... ”

“ I am the one who will fight for my country without thinking about myself. You also risk your life to protect our country. Is that right? ”

“ Yes, obviously. We chose to be in ADRX after thinking about that situations too. ”

“ Your child and husband know about that. Is that true? ”

“ Yes, but how is that linked to this matter. ”

“ Even Gaurav and my husband did not ask me to leave ADRX. Did you family ask? ”

“ No! ”

“ When my child knows that I am risking my life to save the country, but never try to stop me. ” Mrs.Roy said that and came close to Katherine. “ Then why should I stop him when he is aiming bigger than me. I stopped at saving the country, but he… He is on his way of saving the world. As his mom, how can I stop him? ”

Katherine was just staring at Mrs.Roy. ‘Stare’ It continued. Then “ How much are you both going to stare. ” said Zoya.

Both of them got back “ Yeah! I get it. You are right A111 ” Katherine said that and left the room.

“ You both look very close. ” asked Zoya.

“ Yes, we were friends since our childhood. ” replied Mrs.Roy.

On the other side, Gaurav and Pratik were about to sleep. Then Pratik said, “ Gaurav, can I ask you something ”

“ Yeah!!! ”

“ I don’t know if it is good to ask you about this now, but I want to know about it.”  

“ Sure… Go on ”

“ I have never seen those beasts before, but you have encountered them when you were a child. You have mentioned before that you have seen them in some incident. Your lost your sister in the same incident. You met Guardian Knights in the same incident. I have wanted to ask you before, but we did not get time. Now you said even you sister has the same mark as we have. I want to know how did you escape at that time? How you met them? What actually happened in that incident? ”

When Pratik asked like that, Gaurav stood up from his bed, walked towards the window, and stayed quiet.

“ If you don’t want to discuss it then it’s fine, I just asked out of curiosity. Sorry if I made you feel bad.”

“ Sara! ”

“ What!! ”

“ Sara… My sister’s name is Sara. ”
