At the end of the chemistry exam was the standard 1 hour lunch but Yang Ge did not have any appetite. His school bag that had the study materials for his biology exam was set aside as Yang Ge ruminated on how he had let 3 questions go by without getting the chance to answer them. Yang Ge rubbed at his red rimmed eyes from tears that burned hotly from shame and defeat.

20 minutes later, Yang Ge gathered what was left of his courage to pick his biology book to study for the exam that was next  on an empty stomach.

"I'll change my name from Yang Ge to dog if I end up not answering all the questions this time around! I swear on my grandparents gravestone!"

Fired up with determination, the youth gritted his teeth and continued to read until the time for the next paper arrived.
