“Campbell…!” A small voice came from the mini white tattered cloak that had a black figure with golden eyes under its hood
It hovers after her and fell as she stops and turns around, “Huh!? Strobial…?” She catches her daemon and notices that her clothes had been changed into some sort of golden dress.
“What is this…?”
She looks around the corridor she was running through, it was strangely empty and as if colours were taken from her surroundings. The school was repainted in shades of grey, there were light grey veins pulsing through the wall and the floor, and with a single red beat.
Everything was painted again, this time in shades of red, “Strobial… Are you okay?” While holding the cloak in her palm, she brings it closer to her and looked around, “Where am I?”
“I’m fine… and we’re in a domain, right now.” As it stood itself back up and turned to her.
With a puzzled face, Campbell turn to the cloak, “Domain? This isn’t school?”
“That’s right, this isn’t school but merely a copy. I didn’t think we’ll run into another maiden, sorry Campbell… I was too careless.”
“It’s fine but Strobial, can I get back?” Her face was a little pale, as she stumbles about into the wall and slid down, “Campbell…! Don’t push yourself.”
“I’m sorry, I’m just a little tired.”
Another red beat pulsed through the veins on the walls, as a creepy childlike laughter echoes.
“Can you stand, Campbell?”
She looked even paler but she knows she has no choice and gets herself back up.
“I’ll borrow your gift and your power.”
As a golden wall of flames rose in the shape of knives and covered the corridor where the eerie laughter was coming from.
Thud!
Dozens of faceless childlike monsters stretched out their arms through the burning knives, even as they burn and melt away. While Campbell was running off with her daemon held in her hand, she tries to open each classroom she went by but they were all lock.
“Sorry, Campbell… The flames… I can’t hold them any longer…” as its golden eyes began to fade away, “Strobial!” She tightly grasps onto the white cloak that was left behind and headed to the next classroom. She turns the door knob and as it did, she slammed it open.
The classroom she entered was hers and there was a glowing gate in the middle of the floor. Campbell drops into the gate and return; she stumbles around and examines what’s around her.
“Am I back? Strobial!?” she looks around once more at the school that was no longer in red.
‘I’m still here…’ Campbell hears its voice in her head.
“Strobial… Huh…? Is it over already?” Campbell turns to the nearby hanging clock and notices that lunch period was about to be end, she hurried herself back to class.
While all that happen, Wright had spent most of her lunch looking for Campbell and with the lunch period coming to an end, she returns back to her classroom.
Campbell enters, just as the next class period began and took her seat, she seemed to be paler than before.
Both Wright and Sofia, turned to her and asked if she’s not feeling well.
“…I’m fine….”
They both looked at each other, with doubts on their faces, Sofia went to inform the teacher while Wright offers to take her to the infirmary, “I’m fine… Really, I’m fine.”
Wright went over to her, “Let’s go together…” and offers her hand to her, Campbell hesitated at first but she eventually reaches out.
“Let’s go…” as Wright grabs her hand while Campbell nods and held hers, it was much warmer that Mr Faye chilling touch.
She took Campbell to the infirmary and placed her in bed.
“Thank you…”
“Don’t mention it.”
Wright goes off to get the nurse while Sofia came, dropping off her bag and quietly left.
And after some checking, Campbell was down with a slight fever and her father was already called, and was on his way, Wright left soon after and returned to class.
The classes ahead continued as per normal, other than Wright lost in thought, and with the last period of class finishing. Students pack up their things and left while Wright heads off to her part time job at a café by the name of Vanilla Treats.
Wright in a maid dress, “Thank you for coming!” She was at the entrance of the café as a customer left and returns to the locker room, she changes back to her uniform and drops by the office.
The manager and owner of Vanilla Treats, who was caring for the office flowers, stops and turned to her.
“Thank you for your hard work, Wright.”
“Thank you, manager.”
“Wright, are you okay? You seem to be a little out of it place today.”
“It’s nothing…”
She smiled lightly, “School problems? Your friend again?”
“No, it’s not Lydia… Just someone who’s similar to her… Sorry, I’m going to head off now.”
“If you need someone to listen, I’m always here.”
Wright makes her out and just as she leaves, “Thank you…”
