Chapter 8: New Teacher

“What happened, ahh ... I was drinking the vial with blood.” He shouted, “What happened? Did I become a demon? Did I die? Where is Luca? Why am I here? Where am I? How did I get here?” Jayen was panicking. He was screaming around the abandoned house.

In the corner of the house, I said, “Hey, shut the fuck up, I’m sleeping here, we are in an unoccupied house, and you look in the mirror” I handed the mirror to Jayen.

He looked at the mirror and saw his appearance change. He was so happy that he yelled how awesome he looked but realized that he had horns.

“Luca! How can I remove my horn as well as my eyes and hair? They will be afraid of me because I am a demon.” He said, panicking.

“That’s your problem,” I said, continuing to sleep

“Please ... I will do everything you command” Jayen knelt down. His eyes were pitiful. I ignored him; a few minutes later, he was still on his knees.

“All right, I’ll help you, but I can’t change the way you look. Only you can change it” I got up.

“okay?”

“Try to feel the flow of Star Energy in your body” I stand up.

“What is Star Energy” Scratching the back of his head

“I’ll explain to you later as long as you can feel what is flowing in your body and try to concentrate on your hand.”

“Okay.” He already felt the flowing Star Energy, and he tried to concentrate it with his hand but he couldn’t, and after a few minutes, he did it.

“Good... try on your face and head and imagine what you used to look like”, standing at conner, yawning.

He tried it multiple times, and after an hour, he did it.

“Good job. Try to just hold the Star Energy in your face so that it doesn’t return to your demon form,” I said. “Come to my house if you can’t hold it anymore.”

“Thank you, Luca, for turning me into a demon”, bowing his head.

“You will do everything I command. It’s against the rule of the Demon Empire, turning someone into a demon” crossing my arms.

“Why did you make me a demon if against the rule?” he said in a sense of guilt

“To protect Calix when I’m not there because he’s a target of the Guardians, and don’t worry because I’m a Slayer, I won’t be punished right away” I walk around.

“Why Calix was targeted by the Guardians?” his eyes widened. Worried.

Because someone put ‘Star Fragment’ in her soul and she was not affected by ‘Star Fragment’, he manifested the ‘Star Fragment’. It is infrequent to survive when you put ‘Star Fragment’ on the body. There is only a 0.0000000546% chance you live. When in you put it in your soul, only one person survives, before the slaughter of the two Gods, and fully manifest the ‘Star Fragment’, and Calix is the second to manifest it, I said.

“Then Calix is lucky to survive and who put the so-called ‘Star Fragment’ on Calix.” He sits down.

“Only a few people can use the ‘Soul Manipulation Technique’ including me, but I think Demi Dracul put the ‘Star Fragment’ in her soul.” I sounded slightly brittle

“Who is Demi Dracul? And why do you think he does it? Why did he put that Star fragment on Calix?” Jayen slammed the table and stood up.

“ ‘She’ was my sister.” I emphasize the ‘she’, “I think that’s why she because I felt the Star Fragment one of my sister Star Fragment; I think  wouldn’t put the Star Fragment in her for any reason she is not stupid.” I said with simple directness.

He was surprised by what I said. He calmed down and sat down

“Was? Nevermind...Ehh ... what about Slayer, what is it?” he said in a casual tone, staring at my eyes with the word curious on his eyes.

“Slayer is the highest military Title given to a 13 individual demon that trusts the Emperor and the 13 Great Demon Famil. It has 13 seats, and they have direct orders from the Emperor and the 13 Great Demon Family. I’m the First seat,” I explain.

“Then you’re the Strongest Slayer? 13 Great Demon Family what is that?” Jayen said with a curious tone.

“Of course, I’m most powerful, Slayer.” I said in a smug tone. “13 Great Demon family are the disciples of ‘The Great Demon God’ Primus Dracul. ”

He asked me a lot of questions till morning. I told him to control his power. You are 7 times more potent than an average person, so try to control your strength, and you can still get stronger when you train. I sent him home to rest.

*After a week*

 I woke up to get ready to go to school. I received a text from Jayen telling me not to get in the car and Jayen would wait at the corner of the street to walk together, and I agreed.

We went to the house of Abel, Trixie Analyn and Calix together so that we could walk together.

At the School gate, gossiping students talked about Mort’s friend being imprisoned for killing Mort and being punished with life imprisonment.

We entered the classroom and sat down. A few minutes later, a man entered.

“Good Morning, Student. I’m your new substitute teacher for the Math subject.” The substitute teacher writing on the whiteboard, ‘Pedro Domingez’ That’s my name, you can call me by my First name or Surname.” He said with an emotionless face.

“What are we going to do now, Sir Pedro?” My Classmate, no.1, said. He had brown hair with round glasses and sounded like a girl.

“Hmmm ... What we will do first is we will change the sitting arrangement, then you will review for the short quiz, and we will do the quiz later.” Sir Pedro sat.

Sir Domingez changed the sitting arrangement, and he put Jayen in the 1st row 3rd column, Analyn in the 2nd column 4th row, Abel in the 3rd column 5th row, Trixie in the 4th column 4th row, Calix in the 5th column 4th row and I was in the 5th column 5th row next to the window. Classmate no.1 is next to me; he is 2nd to Calix in intelligence.

“Hi, my name is Zeki Ramos, 17 years old. Nice to meet you.” Zeki said, smiling.

“Hello, nice to meet you, Luca Francesco. You can call me Luca.” I stare at him at his etched eyes that he seems excited.

“Okay, Class, that’s your seat for the 3rd quarter of the school year. You may now read your note for the quiz. I’ll give you 15 minutes.”

Zeki seems focused on reviewing, and all my classmates are also focused except me. I’m just reading a comic.

Sir Domingez asked me, Student in the 5th column 5th row, what are you doing? Why didn’t you reviewing the lesson?

I replied I don’t have to review Sir Domingez. He replied it’s not my fault if you fail the quiz.

After 15 minutes, he provided the questionnaire and answer sheet, then he said that if it’s done, pass it to me immediately so I can check your answers immediately.

While we were answering, Sir Domingez walked around the classroom to watch those copying the answers of those next to them.

After 10 minutes, I was the first to finish answering, and I passed. Sir Domingez finished checking my answer, and I saw him smirking.

After half an hour, all my classmates passed, and we were just waiting for him to grade the answers. After that, he grades the answers for a few minutes.

He arranges the answer sheet from the highest score to the lowest score.

“Okay ... it’s interesting, the highest score is 35/35, and he’s Luca Francesco. Good ... Goodjob ... Even if you don’t review, you’re still the highest.” Sir Domingez said, smirking.

He also announced that the others Calix is 33/35, 2nd, Zeki is 30/35, 3rd, Jayen is 5th, Trixie is 6th, and Abel and Analyn have the same ranking, 9th.

Then the remaining 15 minutes, he discuss a lesson about geometry. Aftermath class is break time, we ate together, and we took Zeki with us.

“How can you perfect the quiz you haven’t reviewed yet.” Zeki curiously asked.

“It’s just luck,” I replied.

“Really?” Trixie said

“You were even surprised that he was perfect in the quiz, Ehh... his first day he had no knowledge of the Quiz, he was still perfect,”Jayen said, eating his food.

“he's handsome, smart, rich, and kind where can you find someone like him?” Abel said.

“Yes, where can you find someone like him? We only have smart but ugly and mediocre.” Jayen stared at Abel with a mischievous face.

“Are you kidding me? maybe you’re the ugly one.”

“What did you say?”

“You two stop. I’m eating here.” Calix yelled at them

“By the way, Calix what Why have you been absent for a few days?” Analyn asked.

They were curious that they stopped talking to listen to what Calix has to say.

“It’s just that my grandfather died,” Calix said.

“Ayy ... Sorry for asking ... condolence.” Analyn apologized.

“Condolence.” We said.

“And my mother is just taking care of something in the province,” Calix said.

After we ate and talked, we went to class to study. After a few hours, I asked our teacher could Jayen and I go to the restroom to take a piss. Jayen and I talked about what we talked about at lunch break.

“I don’t think the death of Calix’s grandfather is normal,” I said.

“How do you think so?”. Jayen unzips his pants.

“I contacted my colleagues, they said they said there was something strange in the town of Calix's grandpa, there were a lot of people dying, and there were many guardian sightings in the area” I unzip my pants.

“Why are there so many guardians there in the territory of demons?” Jayen said while pissing.

“because the barrier that is being built isn't finished yet, 79 years that it still hasn't been built because of the many guardians who are destroying the barrier core.” I zip my pants.

We go back to class after we talk. After class, we go home and rest.
