It was Frieda’s turn to share her words.
“When I was younger, not long after the change in fact, I made a friend. She had been part of Elswyth from before the change but unlike us, was not changed from human. I don’t know how long she would’ve been around if she had become a daysinger as well.”
Sharara was a lively girl, with more energy than Frieda even after the change. She was determined to prove that being human made her no less than the people who had been changed.
She wanted to learn as many things as possible but was most interested in dancing.
At twenty-eight, she was one of the first people to find that one could use magick through dancing.
With her newfound knowledge, she taught it to all who were interested and was quick to be inducted into the Steel Spears.
She was one of the first battle mages, fighting alongside Frieda and the other Spears against the strange creatures that emerged from the sands at Buthainah.
“I go this.” She said, smiling at Frieda.
“Yeah? What are you going to do?”
“Just watch.”
Her arrogance was well earned, her spins and steps causing the winds to pick up, lashing against the monsters. It wasn’t long before she created a small tornado on the desert plain ahead of them, strong enough to pick up the monsters that had reveal themselves.
“That’s so cool!” Frieda couldn’t help but call, readying her bow to let forth her blessed arrows.
“I know, right. It’s a new trick I just picked up.”
“If I’m honest, we probably wouldn’t have survived those battles without her.”
