Sport. That was an interesting concept.
Brandan seemed fascinated with it, there were various medals scattered across his shelves from a range of sports.
Sedge wasn’t used to any of them.
He had gone through the room, hunting for an answer as to what was expected of him.
Brandan wasn’t just fond of sports; he was good at them.
And Sedge knew nothing about them. He asked Phoena to check the library on their trip, to see if they could find any rule books.
He ended up with three, the main focuses of Brandan’s achievements.
Tennis. Soccer. Basketball.
Further searching got him another two, these ones more achievable. Fencing and martial arts.
Fencing wasn’t too dissimilar from what he had learnt to wield his swords, although the rules were different.
Bree had always made sure that the entire adventuring party were able to fight without weapons or magic, close enough as a mix of various martial arts and boxing.
But what made Sedge most curious was only called ‘hunting’.
It was mentioned in Brandan’s notes, and he only had a single medal of it. His notes did not match the books that Phoena had found, it was not hunting animals for sport or game.
Instead, it seemed entirely to be created by Brandan and a few others, the main name propping up being Lilac.
The rules, based on the notes, seemed to be that a group of individuals would be allocated as ‘hunters’ and it was their job to search and find a ‘prey’. They were not clear on what to when the ‘prey’ was found, nor what types of area the search would take place in.
Sedge had a feeling
that the only people who knew about ‘hunting’ were the ones mentioned in the
notes.
