It was Independence Day!

Normal Man and Normal Cat woke up extra early.

About 8AM their guests started arriving.

Mrs. Pricey came in first and brought apple pie.

Then another 5 people (there were also children included) came there were also 4 other cats that came as well.

Once everyone was gathered it was time for breakfast.

There was a bunch of those ready-made breakfasts as well as vegan breakfasts, and gluten free breakfasts, vegetarian breakfasts, and last of all, sugar free breakfasts.

For the cats it was just very expensive cat food no, vegan, gluten free, vegetarian or sugar free, but they ate the cat food without moaning.

After that it was flag time.

Flag Time was always the children’s favorite because they had to find the flag and then bring it to the adults which would put it up on the wall.

So, while the children closed their eyes, the adults hid the flag, then they called the children and they went running upstairs.

Eventually the children found it and the adults hung it up.

Then it was dish washing time. (In those days people didn’t have dishwashers so they had to do by hand).

This was also a fun activity where everyone pitched in to help.

And the children loved it because of the bubbles.

Soon that was done now they went off to the hiking event which everyone agreed on doing.

When everyone came back it didn’t look like it was a good idea after all, they were full of sweat, there water had also run out about half way through the hike and they forgot to bring food so they didn’t have lunch.

It was round about dinner time so Normal Man went inside to make something for everyone to eat with everyone trudging into the house behind Normal Man.

30 minutes later and the food was ready and everyone ate everything there was no talking or laughing just silence and sometimes a crunch of someone eating rudely.

After everyone had eaten it was time to say their good-bye’s and go home.
