"I would rather you end up with someone else than to ever have you look at me like that Claude." Kai said softly, "I... I couldn't take it." She started getting choked up. Claude looked confused, bewildered even, "But... I like how you look." Claude spoke up, Kai swallowed and looked at Claude like he was crazy. "I think you look sexy." He said a bit flirtatiously.  "Are your suppressants wearing off?" Kai asked unamused.

"Kai!" He exclaimed with a pout. Kai sighed softly, "Sorry I... Believe you but I have like this voice in my head that tells me otherwise." She apologized, "Don't be sorry about that. Someone else put that voice there Kai." Claude said softly, he rested a hand on her forearm and looked at her with a smile. "Yeah but it's not your responsibility to fix it." She mumbled feeling flustered. The look of care and affection in Claude's eyes... Kai didn't know what to do with it.

"Probably not," He said moving closer, "But you're always there for me. So I want to be there for you too."  He said slowly sitting up on his knees faced towards her. He grabbed Kai's face and slowly brought it to his. "Kai... Can I kiss you?" He asked softly, Kai took a shaky breath considering. This was a line... Crossing this line would change things. But she didn't want to go back to how she was before. So scared of everything... Scared of getting hurt... She had put a single line out there and the universe responded. She had gotten away from her hometown, she had a job now that she liked, she... She had someone who loved her and she loved them too. She didn't want to go back... So the only way was forward.

"Yeah." She said with a grin, "But... Only if I can kiss you back." She added, Claude's eyes lit up and he grinned. "Absolutely." He replied before kissing her. Claude tasted sweet on her lips, his tongue poked around curiously in her mouth. Things progressed from there. There was only one natural conclusion as Claude and Kai were together in bed. 

Kai couldn't believe it as she touched Claude. She hadn't expected things to end up as they were now. Otherwise, she would've planned better. Then again... She probably would've never let Claude show up if she knew. The fear of him hating her body... Was intense. But now that she was in this situation the feel slowly dissipated like smoke. Kai would've liked to say she lasted a decent amount of time, but with everything she didn't. 

Or rather couldn't. Being with Claude, in this way. She could hardly fathom it. Both of them cried out as their release came. Collapsing together onto the bed. They held each other close. Kai panted softly only now realizing that Claude's neck was uncollared. It was tempting, but she wasn't about to get greedy. Locking someone like Claude in as a mate was beyond greedy. She would just be happy with this much. It was far beyond what she ever thought possible anyway.

Once they calmed down, Claude seemed completely delighted with himself. "Do you have any birth control?" Kai asked concerned if things kept going in the direction they were. Claude would get pregnant. Claude side-eyed her and smiled, "Is it alright if I don't want to use it?" He asked softly. Kai sat up in the nest surprised, "Claude. You'll get pregnant." She warned, Claude, averted his eyes, "Do you not want me to?" He asked. "It's not about what I want, what about your career?" Kai wouldn't even entertain the thought. Claude looked upset, "I don't care about that." He spoke up shifting onto his stomach as if afraid Kai was going to try to prevent any developments somehow.

Kai stared, "Claude, did you... Are you using me to get out of your career?" She asked feeling hurt, Claude went rigid and quickly sat up. "It's not like that!" He exclaimed looking panicked. "I know it might seem like it but it's not!" He looked scared and nervous. "I... I want to be with you." He said quietly, "I want to have kids with you, be mates and get married! Grow old together!" He smiled at her, he then placed a hand on his stomach. "Me... Wanting to not prevent anything... Isn't to get out of my career." He said softly, "Because I already quit." He looked up at Kai. Kai's eyes widened, "Claude!" She scolded, "What if things had turned out differently! You could've been in some serious trouble!" She said worriedly.

Claude chuckled and looked away, "It would've been bad." He said softly, before looking back at Kai. "But I wanted to take that risk, Kai. That's how much you've gotten me wrapped around your finger." He said with a laugh, "You're so sweet and I always feel so happy being around you. I always know I can be myself without you ever thinking poorly of me. I..." Claude swallowed trying to hold back tears. "I don't want to be with anyone else." He said, "I've already found my alpha." He smiled brilliantly at her. "She has cotton candy hair."

Kai felt herself tear up and she growled at him, "You're so dumb!" She exclaimed grabbing him, she pulled Claude into a tight hug. Claude laughed sniffling, "Yeah, are you going to take care of me?" He teased his voice breaking slightly, "Of course! You can't be trusted alone!" Kai sobbed hugging him. The two of them cried together before calming down, Kai pulled on Claude's cheeks gently, "You can't be doing stupid things like this again!" She scolded sniffling. "Talk to me before you make dumb decisions like this!" She demanded squishing his face together. Claude laughed, "Okay." He agreed before kissing her. Kai kissed back before pulling away, "No more surprises either!" She demanded, "Open communication got it."

Kai kissed Claude while also setting ground rules and boundaries. Claude agreed to them all delighted by the attention he was receiving. When everything finally calmed down they laid in the nest next to each other. "So where's little Vivi?" Kai asked looking tired, "She's with my moms. Most of my stuff is with them." Claude explained with a yawn. "Did you tell them about me?" Kai asked, "Yeah, of course. My mom, the one from France. She was the one who suggested I come to confess to you." Claude breathed closing his eyes. He seemed tired, Kai sighed and brushed some hair out of his face.

"Let's sleep. We can talk more later." Kai suggested, Claude, smiled and moved close before falling asleep beside her. Kai ended up falling asleep as well, exhausted from the emotional roller coaster. When Kai and Claude woke back up they had a really long talk. Claude explained to her that the abuse he had suffered from being a star was a lot more than he let on. They were starting to take away food from him physically. When he had the first video called her, he actually hadn't eaten in two days.

He also explained that there was an attempt to set him up with different alphas. Which didn't go too well, Claude got disgusted when they tried anything because he actually wanted Kai. "They would always pressure me saying it'd be great for my career," Claude explained, Kai rubbed his back softly. "I'm so sorry that happened to you," Kai said softly, he smiled and rested his head on her chest. "I'm fine now." He breathed.

He was quiet for a few moments before finally explaining what lead to him quitting. "My manager and agency found pictures of you on my phone. It's a little embarrassing... But I drew a ton of hearts around them." Claude explained, Kai felt her cheeks burn but she kept quiet. "They put two and two together and... They told me to stop talking to you." Claude sat up at this point. "I thought to myself, they could do whatever they wanted with me. But... The moment they tried to get me to stop talking to you." He grabbed her hand and kissed it. "I quit on the spot." "Claude you shouldn't have quit over me." Kai said softly, "I wanted to." Claude replied, "They had taken so much away from me already. All my other friends were ones assigned to me by the agency. You were the first friend that I made by myself." He hovered over her.

"I didn't want to lose that for anything." He said softly, Kai smiled sheepishly at this. "I'd say we're a little more than friends now." She joked, "We better be!" Claude whined, "You can't be like other American alphas and smack me then leave!" Claude exclaimed, Kai burst out laughing, "It's hit, and quit it, Claude!" She exclaimed laughing. She pulled him down into a hug, "I speak three languages! I can mess up!" Claude complained. Kai just laughed and kissed him.

Claude ended up moving into the apartment next door to Kai. While they had talked about some serious stuff, Kai wanted to take things slow after explaining to Claude he'd be her first real relationship. He seemed stunned by that information but agreed to take things slow. Thankfully he didn't end up pregnant from that time they got together. But later on when they had managed to sync their cycles. He did. But by then Kai had already marked him during a previous rut. They ended up moving together into a house in the suburbs of Emerald city.

Kai continued her work at the Gaming Studio. Claude joined in after revealing who he was, using some of his star power for doing voice work for his character. He also ended up as an acting teacher for a local university. Kai did receive some hate over 'stealing' Claude away from the entertainment industry. But Claude gave anyone and everyone a piece of his mind. A few months after their first child was born, Claude and Kai got married. The two of them grew old together surrounded by pastel colors and Kai as always having cotton candy hair.
