It was strange to not have Taylor with him at school and Cameron didn't like it. He had spent the last eight years of his life with Taylor around him for most of the day. To have her away from him for most of the week frustrated him. He didn't feel safe, and he wasn't happy. Sitting at lunch the usual group sat down with him. "How are you holding up little guy?" Chris asked sitting next to him. Cameron sighed and stabbed his fork into the potatoes on his plate. "Well good news is you can see her when you get home," Chris said kindly. While normally Chris would've poked fun at Cameron and at first during this time he did. When Cameron ended up becoming upset to point of tears a couple of days ago Chris backed off and took a different approach.

Megan and Lola sat down across from them, and Cameron spotted Bryan hovering near the table. The shy beta winced when Cameron shot him a dirty look. "Cameron come on, he didn't know Frankie was going to act like that," Megan said with a sigh. Cameron scoffed and turned his head, "Sorry." Bryan mumbled sitting down at the other side of the table furthest away from Cameron. "Frankie's aunt tried to press charges on Taylor." Cameron spoke up, "What?" Lola choked on her drink.

Cameron gave Bryan another dirty look, "Had it not been for Frankie's history of fighting in schools Taylor could've gotten in trouble. She gave him a concussion." He explained, "Holy... Holy shit!" Chris laughed hearing what kind of damage Taylor had done. "That's why I'm mad." He spat at Bryan. Bryan winced and lowered his head. Cameron sighed, "I'm also upset because that's the second time Taylor's gotten hurt because of me." He grumbled. "But she's fine." Megan offered, "She shouldn't have gotten hurt in the first place." Cameron replied.

"I'm really sorry." Bryan spoke up, Cameron sighed, "I know, I'm just being mad for right now. I know it's not your fault." He admitted knowing it wasn't fair to Bryan. He was a shy guy who had an even harder time making friends than Cameron. He was going to have an even harder time especially after trying to reach out to Frankie like that. It was hard being a beta that liked alphas Cameron guessed. Bryan smiled weakly at him, "Are we still friends?" He asked hopefully, Cameron nodded. "Yeah, I just need to be a little mad for a while. Don't take it personally." Cameron said, Bryan seemed to relax hearing this.

Lunch continued and the rest of the day was a blur. Cameron had worried at first that other people would bother him like they tried to whenever Taylor had been sick previously. But no one messed with him. Rumors had spread throughout school that Taylor was extremely jealous and would send someone to the hospital if she thought someone was coming onto Cameron. So, Cameron had a peaceful time, but he felt incredibly lonely and anxious. While everyone wasn't directly bothering him, they did whisper about him and stare. He heard comments about Taylor and Cameron being secretly married or pair-bonded. How they had kids outside of school. How they knew someone who caught him and Taylor doing stuff during free time behind the gym one time.

Cameron wrapped Taylor's sweater around him tighter wanting nothing more than for this day to end.

When it finally did Cameron rushed over to Taylor's house. He didn't even knock, Jenny who spotted Cameron laughed a bit as he ran up the stairs to Taylor's room. He flung the door open and rushed into Taylor's arms. "Oh, hey welcome back from school doll face." Taylor greeted. Cameron closed his eyes and squeezed tightly before noticing he felt more skin than usual. Opening his eyes, he froze realizing that Taylor was standing there in only her bra.

"I was changing," Taylor explained seeing the stunned look on Cameron's face. Cameron couldn't tear his eyes away from her. Like most female alphas Taylor's body was very fit, firm muscles created a very appealing shape to her frame. Cameron who stood a foot or so shorter than her was just above chest height on Taylor. So, he was able to see a lot. "So, you going to let me put my shirt on or?" Taylor asked, Cameron dumbly let go of her and took a step back swallowing dryly. All the complaints about what went on today were thrown from his mind. All he could think about was the fact that Taylor was his girlfriend, and she was so pretty. Taylor slipped on a shirt and glanced over at Cameron whose cheeks were dark red. She smiled before holding her arms open, Cameron stepped forward and the two of them hugged again.

"Sorry about walking in." Cameron finally managed to say as he hugged Taylor tightly, "I missed you so much I couldn't wait." He grumbled burying his face into the crook of Taylor's neck. Taylor scooped him up off the floor and Cameron wrapped his legs around her waist as she carried him over to her bed and flopped down. "I missed you too," Taylor said softly leaning against the wall at the head of her bed. Things had been stressful thanks to the Frankie incident. But now that things were calming down and Frankie's aunt had backed off after Taylor's family threatened legal action against them. Taylor felt a bit better. Especially with Cameron in her arms.

Cameron leaned his entire body weight onto her as he sat in her lap. She heard his loud purring rumbling from him as he did this. Slowly she traced shapes into his back feeling more content to have Cameron here. "It was stupid they suspended you for two weeks." Cameron complained, "I did give a guy a concussion." Taylor retorted, Cameron, sighed and turned his head to face Taylor. His head rested on her shoulder, and she looked at him with a smile. Cameron returned the smile and Taylor leaned over kissing him on the lips.

There was no shock or surprise about this action. It felt as natural as breathing to Cameron. Moving his head off her shoulder to get a better angle the two of them kissed each other softly. Cameron couldn't help but smile into the kisses Taylor gave him. He felt his stomach twist and flip even as she pulled away and kissed his face. "I think we've been apart too long. You've gotten even prettier doll face." Taylor mumbled softly. Cameron smiled staring at her, he loved it when she called him that. It made him feel as she told him he was. "Taylor's gotten prettier too," Cameron replied in the same tone. Taylor grinned when he told her she was pretty. She pulled him close and held him tightly. Cameron melted into the embrace and purred softly. Cameron ended up falling asleep at Taylor's house for the second time that week. His dad wasn't too happy but didn't say much.

It seemed that after the incident of Cameron's first heat, he relaxed a little around Taylor. So, when his father found out about what Taylor did a week before she was supposed to go back to school. His father, Louis started inviting Taylor over to their house. Cameron could only assume that his Dad liked the thoughts of Taylor knocking someone out over him. Unlike at Taylor's house. They had to sleep separately which Cameron absolutely hated and would always sneak out of his room at night to go curl up next to Taylor in the guest bedroom.

Tonight, was one such night. Creeping out of his bedroom, Cameron quietly made his way across the hall into the guest room. Taylor laid across the bed fast asleep. When he approached the side of the bed, he poked her face. "Taylor." He whispered. "Hmmm?" Taylor grumbled half asleep. "Let me in," Cameron whispered, Taylor moved back on the twin bed and lifted the blanket. Smiling to himself Cameron eagerly climbed into bed and nestled himself into her arms. "Mm mm... Night." Taylor mumbled softly burying her face into his hair. Cameron smiled, "night." He whispered moving even closer.

Cameron ended up sleeping in, that time and because it was a weekend. He woke up to his father standing at the end of the bed. "I'm beginning to think it's not Taylor I should be worried about." He remarked folding his arms. Taylor stirred awake hearing her name and smiled when she saw Cameron, but the smile faded when she noticed Louis standing there. "I literally just woke up. I have done nothing." She spoke almost robotically. Cameron huffed irritated at the situation and shot a dirty look at his father. "Oh, don't give me that look, Cameron." Louis had none of it. He then looked over at Taylor. "You're fine. It's my son who's the problem child in this situation."

With some bickering, Louis dragged Cameron out of the room and back to his room to force him to get ready. Taylor had stayed the night because it was a family trip to a local amusement park. "Today is going to be about good wholesome fun, not whatever you had planned!" Louis snapped from outside of Cameron's bedroom. Cameron opened his door and glared at his father. "I get to sleep next to Taylor all I want everywhere else! Why can't I do it in my own house!" He exclaimed frustrated. Father and son bickered just as Taylor came out of the guest room looking groggy and confused. Emily who walked up to the situation sighed. "Are they always like this?" Taylor asked, "Every morning." She replied before grabbing Louis's arm. "Honey you have to get ready too." She said beginning to drag him away. Louis shouted and complained as this happened. Something about keeping Cameron from corrupting Taylor and how he shouldn't have let Cameron read romance novels.

Taylor looked over watching them disappear down the hall before looking back at Cameron who huffed and leaned on the door. "You know him accusing me of doing those things just makes me want to do them," Cameron grumbled, Taylor grinned and walked over. "Well then, let's do something bad then." She said slowly pushing Cameron into the bedroom and closing the door behind them. Cameron was pushed up against the wall by Taylor, his legs wrapped around her waist and his arms around her neck. Taylor kissed and nipped at Cameron's collarbone causing him to squirm. "Taylor." Cameron whimpered biting his lip, he breathed heavily feeling tingling all over his body. "Are you trying to mark me?" Cameron had only said it to be coy, Taylor who had been kissing his shoulder after pulling back the collar of his shirt stopped.

She looked up at Cameron and said, "No. Of course not." Cameron stiffened up at this and frowned, "what?" He asked surprised by the answer. Was Taylor not willing to mark him? They had been close since they were kids. Cameron always kind of assumed she'd eventually mark him. They were boyfriend and girlfriend now! Didn't couples always want to mark each other? "Why not?" Cameron asked, Taylor, furrowed her brows. "That's a really big step-." She started to say before cutting herself off, "Did I make you mad?" She asked.

Cameron bit the inside of his cheek and glared at her, "A little." He admitted with a huff. "Do you want me to mark you?" Taylor asked sounding a little startled. "I always kind of assumed you would!" Cameron exclaimed before mumbling, "Eventually anyway." Cameron and Taylor stayed close despite the change in atmosphere. Cameron looked away, "Is there someone else you want to mark instead?" He asked. "No." Taylor replied sounding confused, "Cameron where is this coming from?" Taylor asked moving Cameron's face to face her.

"I don't know." Cameron whined, "I guess I got upset because you didn't seem like you wanted me!" Cameron lightly smacked his hands down on both of Taylor's shoulders. "I thought you were going to be like 'oh yeah I really want to' and I would get to be all like 'no we have to wait," Cameron mumbled embarrassed. "But instead, you just say, 'no! Of course not!'" He added with a pout, Taylor tilted her head as if trying to process Cameron's reasoning. "It just made me feel a little unwanted," Cameron added softly, Taylor groaned using one hand to pinch the bridge of her nose.

"Cameron take off your collar," Taylor demanded suddenly. "What?" Cameron asked startled, "Take it off." Taylor spoke again. "But I thought you didn't want to mark me! That's a big step anyway Taylor!" Cameron exclaimed getting suddenly nervous. "I'm not-!" Taylor exclaimed but cut herself off again, "Just trust me." She said in a much calmer tone. Cameron chewed on his lip before nodding and taking the collar off. The device on the back beeped and he slipped it into a pocket.

Cameron had heard a ton of stories about how alphas would instantly attack omegas without a collar on and he wondered if Taylor would do the same the moment, she saw he had no collar on. But instead, she gently tilted his head to the side and began kissing his neck. "Ta... Taylor." Cameron whimpered feeling her lips touch his scent gland. His breath hitched when her tongue ran across it, and he hooked his feet together around her waist tightly. It felt so good. He closed his eyes waiting for a biting sensation but instead felt Taylor begin to softly suck and nibble at his neck. Cameron couldn't help but whimper and whine at the feelings he got. It felt good but Cameron found himself wanting Taylor to bite down.

Taylor then kissed him on the lips before pulling away slowly. Cameron was a little dazed, but he saw her canines had grown long and her pupils had pinned. "You don't know how badly I want you," Taylor whispered quiet enough just for Cameron to hear. Taylor reached into his pocket and pulled out his collar slipping it back on. She used one of his hands to lock the collar with his thumbprint before sighing. "Angel, I wanted you from the moment I saw you. Before I even knew what that meant." She confessed. "Don't ever think that you're unwanted by me again." She said firmly. Taylor caressed Cameron's face softly before resting their foreheads together. "Do you understand?" Taylor asked softly, "Yeah." Cameron replied in the same tone. The two of them kissed again and Taylor sat Cameron down. After that, she stepped outside of the room and allowed Cameron to get ready.

Cameron once alone looked at the mess that was his bottom half and sighed. It was frightening to consider that he had been almost too willing to let Taylor do what she wanted to him. Biting his lip at the thought, Cameron shuddered. Taylor had no idea how badly he wanted her.
