It was evening time before he woke up, Quinn seemed to have woken up around the same time. She blearily looked around and sighed, "We should be good now." She said helping Francis sleepily get up. Francis then helped Quinn get up. She cracked her back, "That's going to be killing me for the rest of the week." She complained before eying Francis. "How you doing?" She asked, "My arm's asleep." Francis mumbled trying to get some feeling back into it. The two of them were quiet for a moment standing there. Then Quinn held out her hand, Francis took it and they slowly walked out of the bathroom. The floor outside of the bathroom was close to some ground-level windows. They had shattered letting in rain. The wind messed up the room and throwing things around. There was glass all over the floor. Francis and Quinn helped each other step over things as they climbed the glass-covered stairs. The first floor wasn't much better, computers thrown everywhere, a large tree branch was in the middle of the library floor. Most of the windows were shattered.

They headed for the door and the sky outside was clear as if nothing had happened. "Sweet," Quinn said picking her umbrella out of a small shrub that it got stuck in. "Didn't lose the umbrella." She said grinning at Francis who smiled. It was so like her to casually find the brighter side to a natural disaster. She closed the umbrella and put it back into her bag. As they walked across campus Francis clutched Quinn's hand. "Quinn." He said softly, "Would it be alright if I stay at your place for a little while?" He asked, Quinn stopped, her eyebrows raised. "Sure." She agreed, the two of them turned around and started heading for the alpha dorms.

Once Quinn got to her dorm, thankfully things were where she left them. "Do you not have a roommate?" Francis asked looking around the apartment like dorm. "Nah, they dropped out a little while ago," Quinn said closing her door behind her and locking it. "You can use the shower if you like." Quinn offered, "I've got some spare clothes." Francis looked up and nodded. He took her up on the offer and ended up stepping out of the bathroom wearing a large sleep shirt and some shorts. He smelt just like Quinn, but at this point, Quinn smelt like safety so he was okay with that.

Quinn had changed while Francis was in the shower. She was wearing an oversized shirt with some sweat pants. She was stretched out on the couch looking relaxed as she watched the television. "How can you be so relaxed?" Francis asked clutching the towel he had used to dry his hair with. "Trauma," Quinn replied, before sitting up, she saw Francis's unamused look. "I'm not relaxed, I'm exhausted." Quinn clarified. Francis slowly walked over and sat down on the couch next to her. "Why?" He asked, "I was scared." "But you said that's not the worst tornado you've been through." Francis was clueless as to why Quinn had been scared, she scratched the back of her head and sighed after staring at him.

She didn't respond and was quiet, "Quinn why were you scared?" Francis pressed, "I was scared you'd get hurt." Quinn spoke up, Francis jerked and looked at her startled. "What?" He asked. Quinn looked away and went to get up. He grabbed her hand and pulled her back down on the couch. "You were worried about me?" He asked, Quinn, chewed on the inside of her cheek. "I'm always worried about you. You're a rambunctious little guy." She confessed. Francis stared, "Quinn do you like me?" He asked straightforwardly. "What does that matter?" "Do you?"

Quinn sighed, "Yeah, but I don't have a title or anything. I'm not rich either. I grew up in a trailer park for God's sake." Quinn replied honestly, "Your dad is like an archduke or something. It doesn't matter if I like you or not." Quinn confessed, "Why do you think that?" Francis questioned softly. Quinn stared at him before leaning over, "Nobles don't go for trailer trash." She said frankly, her face inches away from him. She then pulled away and shifted, away from him.

Francis was quiet, Quinn spoke up, "Every alpha you've gone after since I've known you have some sort of connection through money or title. You've gone through almost every single alpha you've met. Except for me. If you were ever going to consider me as a candidate you would've already done it. But you don't just want someone who likes you, you want someone that you can take home to your parents and that can fit in with the rest of your family." Quinn leaned on the other arm of the couch staring at the television. "I don't blame you for being that way either. Who wants to have a fancy wedding where their significant other's family shows up with bathtub wine?" Quinn seemed to have thought about this hard.

She glanced over at Francis who was quietly staring at her, "And now you feel uncomfortable around me." She said sighing, "I'm not going to do anything." She promised, holding up her hand with her thumb bent into her palm. "Scout's honor." She said with a half-hearted joking tone. Francis quietly pressed all his fingertips together hearing this his hand making some sort of pyramid shape, he was thinking, "I'm... I'm not too much for you?" He asked suddenly, "What?" Quinn was confused, "You don't mind how loud I am? Or dramatic?" He questioned, "Please, I grew up in a loud house with a ton of drama. I'm one of eight kids." Quinn reached over and took a sip of her water.

"Eight!?" Francis exclaimed startled, "Mama was fertile." Quinn joked, "Four of my siblings are two sets of twins. The other three are triplets. " "Wow." Francis gaped surprised, "Yeah twins are pretty common in my family, I'm actually the only one without one." Quinn explained seemingly becoming relaxed despite the confession.

"You're the...?" Francis started to say, "Oldest." Quinn got where he was going with this. "You?" Quinn questioned, "Only child." Francis replied, "Not surprised there." Quinn joked chuckling. Francis pursed his lips together unsure how to react. "Quinn... What if I said I didn't mind?" Francis spoke up, Quinn paused before taking another drink of her water. "Mind what?" She asked, "That you grew up in a trailer park? Or if your family shows up with bathtub wine?" Francis spoke slowly moving closer to her. He saw the usually composed Quinn's cheeks turn red.

"I'd say that's a pretty mean joke, Frannie." Quinn said in response, "I'm serious." Francis stressed grabbing her arm. "Don't feel like you owe me anything because of today." Quinn said with a sigh, "That's not-!" Francis cut himself off and sighed. "It's partly the reason, but not the way you think!" He admitted. "I... I'm pretty traditional and... I've always been looking for someone to protect me..." He admitted feeling embarrassed, most other omegas scoffed hearing this and mocked him saying that he was setting back equal rights talking like this.

"I was so scared and you made me feel safe," Francis said grabbing her hand and holding it. "Even before the storm... It made me happy talking to you like that." Francis referenced his and her conversation before the tornado hit. "Please, just one date?" He asked determined, "You're asking me out?" Quinn was startled, "Yes!" Francis said with a huff, Quinn stared before groaning. "Damnit, Frannie." She groaned cupping her mouth to hide her smile. "I can't say no to you." She admitted. Francis smiled at her and then wiggled his way into her arms he could hug her. Francis felt his smile grow when he heard Quinn let out a helpless groan. It was then he knew it wouldn't be just one date.

He was right, one date turned into two, then three, then four. Before he knew it he had basically moved from his dorm into Quinn's. While not officially, he spent enough time there and had most of his things there. Though as close he had gotten with Quinn, she was still taking things so painfully slow. Even after almost four months of dating. They had only stuck to hand-holding and cheek kissing. She even had him sleep in the other room. Francis found himself wanting more. So while Quinn was stretched out on the couch once more, Francis walked over and flopped on top of her.

Quinn let out a grunt at the impact but instantly wrapped an arm around him, "Spring break is coming up." Francis announced, "It is." Quinn said slowly turning to him, "You should come with me to visit my family." He suggested. Quinn turned off the television and sat up, "I didn't hear you, what?" She asked, "Come with me to visit my family." Francis said smiling at her. "You're not going back to your family for a break, so come with me to visit mine." He reasoned, shifting around so he could lean his head against her shoulder.

With his ear pressed against her shoulder, he could hear her heart beating rapidly. He heard her swallow and then she spoke up, "You're wanting to introduce me to your family?" Her voice cracked slightly as she spoke, "Yeah." Francis said nodding. Quinn let out a breath, "So are you wanting to make them mad or?" She asked sheepishly, "Quinn!" Francis exclaimed, "Sorry... Sorry... Just kind of freaked out." Quinn admitted, "Do you not want to meet them?" Francis asked concerned, "No I do... I just." Quinn took a shaky breath, "I want them to like me and I know that's probably not going to happen." Her face was red as she admitted this. "You don't know that!" Francis tried to comfort her but it didn't seem to do much good.

Francis sighed, "If you're that uncomfortable you don't have to. I just wanted to spend some extra time with you. Not get my dads approval." Francis explained, Quinn paused and let out a breath, "Holy hell Francis, why didn't you just say that!" She seemed to relax, Francis tilted his head before his eyes widened. "You thought I was—! And you were okay with it!" Francis exclaimed with a red face, "I mean..." Quinn murmured scratching her cheek.

It seemed that Quinn had thought Francis was going through the first steps towards marriage. Getting parental approval and introducing her to the family. She wasn't entirely off base but... Francis had been surprised with how okay Quinn was with it. She seemed nervous but like she was going to go through with it. Francis felt his face get hotter and he smiled, "You make me want to do that now!" "Francis please, you'll kill me," Quinn begged. Francis laughed and grabbed her face kissing her cheek. "Okay, I'll have mercy just this once." He joked, "Thank you." Quinn breathed a sigh of relief.
