The next day came as Chang Min surprisingly got up early. But then again, he did not sleep well last night because he couldn't help but think about trying out his BL stories with Ye Xun.
He spent the night going back to his old story Blossom Eve to figure out the exact things he wrote. And when Chang Min reread the story, he could not help but cringe at the amount of fluff inside.
Fluff is not bad, but sometimes they can cross a cringy line, which Chang Min definitely crossed.
Good thing there was barely a kiss scene involved.
Blossom Eve was about a young man moving to the big city all alone. His first two months were lonely, even at his job, until he met an eccentric man that brought light to his lonely life.
They spent every day doing exciting new things, living life to the fullest. The story rarely had any drama, and there were many happy times with fluff that never seemed to end.
Chang Min only wrote ten chapters to the story. When he first started writing BL stories, he wanted to make a cute one. But now, looking back, Chang Min wondered what was wrong with him.
He is not a happy, fluffy person, so he does not know how he pulled that story out of his ass.
Sighing, Chang Min ran his hand through his hair, getting up from his bed to get ready for the day since he is wide awake.
Finishing all the necessary things he needed to do, Chang Min walked into his kitchen, getting ready to make himself some food.
Earlier, when he brushed his teeth, his stomach started to growl, indicating he was hungry.
Chang Min opened the fridge, getting ready to pull out some leftovers when there was a knock at the door.
He closed the fridge, wondering who could be at the door.
Chang Min barely knows people since he lives in self-isolation. So the only ones who came to see him are his parents and Ye Xun (he won't count the delivery people). And they don't need to knock because he gave them a key to his home.
He still walked to the door, unlocking and opening it. On the other side was Ye Xun. He had on sunglasses, holding a bag in his hand.
Ye Xun took off his sunglasses, hooking them to his shirt as he lifted the bag. He tilted his head and smirked. "Chang Min, I hope you did not forget about our promised breakfast."
Chang Min almost asked Ye Xun if he was on something because he acted weird when it quickly hit him. Because he read Blossom Eve last night, the scene instantly clicked with him.
When the main character first met the male lead, it happened in a typical way. The main character ran into the male lead, spilling his drink on him.
The main character could not stay for long because he was running late to work, so he gave the male lead his address and name, saying he will take him out for breakfast to make up for the mess.
The main character forgot, and before the afternoon came, the male lead showed up at the main character's place, saying the same lines that Ye Xun spoke.
Chang Min's cheeks grew hot as he looked to the side; he felt embarrassed to follow the script that Ye Xun started.
He wished he deleted the story when he had the chance.
"You know, we don't have to follow everything word from word." Chang Min muttered.
Ye Xun hummed, grabbing Chang Min's chin so that they could look at each other, "I know. But doesn't it feel more realistic if we did?"
Chang Min shook his head, causing Ye Xun to drop his hand. "You know that you are weird, right?"
Ye Xun gave him an indifferent look, "Let me in already."
Chang Min stepped aside, letting Ye Xun in as he closed the door behind him. Ye Xun walked to the dining area, setting the food down. Chang Min followed him.
Ye Xun pulled out one of the seats, "Chang Min, come sit."
Chang Min's right eye twitched.
Ye Xun has taken care of Chang Min since they first met, so many things did not faze him anymore when the man would act as his parent.
But a gentleman Ye Xun is where he felt lost. He still walked over to the seat, sitting down as Ye Xun pushed him in. Chang Min shivered, "Can we skip the gentleman act? It is freaking me out."
Ye Xun rolled his eyes, sitting next to Chang Min as he opened the bag of food. "I am acting this way because this is how you wrote Haru in Blossom Eve. I told you we are doing this, and it is good to experience all types of personality since you stayed in isolation for a few years."
"I like being isolated from others. Social events scare me." Chang Min responded as Ye Xun handed him a container with waffles, scrambled eggs, and sausages inside.
Ye Xun had steamed rice and miso soup for himself (The same breakfast as the story). "I want you to know I am taking you out today. We are going to the carnival. It was the third date in the story, correct?"
He took out the utensils, handing Chang Min a fork and knife for his food. He even had a container of syrup that he gave to Chang Min.
Chang Min took them and started eating, feeling his mood dropping since Ye Xun wanted to take him outside to a highly social place. He hated being outside, but he hated being near people the most.
"Ye Xun," he started, only for Ye Xun to cut him off.
"I know how you're feeling and what you're thinking, Chang Min. But this will be good for you. I want you to step out more, and I will be with you every step of the way."
Chang Min bit his lip, thinking for a few seconds. It has been a while since he went to places. But, Chang Min always gets things delivered. And at least, he will have Ye Xun with him if he ended up panicking or something.
"Okay, but can we do things slower?" Chang Min asked.
Ye Xun nodded, "That is fine. Now finished eating your food so that we can go out."
Chang Min went back to eating, his heart pounding as he thought about going to the carnival.
They finished eating as Chang Min got dressed to go outside. He asked Ye Xun to help him since he had no idea what to wear. And once he had his clothes on and was ready, they left the house.
Ye Xun drove them to the carnival in town, as it took a while to find a parking spot when they reached it. When they finally parked, and it was time to get out, Chang Min freaked out a bit with all the people he saw walking.
He played with the hem of his shirt since Ye Xun put his long locks into a tight bun. Chang Min did not want to step out of the car yet.
Ye Xun grabbed his hand, holding it as he squeezed it, "Ignore the others and only pay attention to me, Chang Min. Let me be your sole focus."
Chang Min looked at their hands, then at Ye Xun, swallowing the lump in his throat. He nodded his head, not wanting to say any words because he might end up stuttering or throwing up his breakfast.
Ye Xun let him go as they exited the car. Then, he walked over to Chang Min's side as he locked the car doors; Ye Xun intertwined their fingers. "Come on."
Chang Min followed Ye Xun, only looking at him instead of the people and the carnival coming more and more into view.
Even the surrounding noises died out in his ears as he started to tune them out.
I can do this. Chang Min thought; he could do this with Ye Xun by his side.
