Chang Min sighed, wondering what prompted him into writing Kissing the Saint.
Kissing the Saint is about a sheltered, innocent MC who moved to the big city for college. Everything was new for him, and at times, he would take most sayings literally.
It was a good thing that he made friends that helped him out. But, at the same time, they treated him a bit like a child due to his innocence.
Then, he met the unhinged ML who had no filter whatsoever and loved taking risks.
Mostly everything coming from the ML's mouth was an innuendo.
Even though MC's ears and face burned with every meeting, he loved hanging with the ML because the man never walked on eggshells with him.
But, when they started dating and had their first intimate act, the MC was 100% corrupted and changed. He went from an innocent, shy man to an incubus in disguise.
The once fluffy days (although they are still there) turned into something that the ML could have never foreseen.
ML thought about how it was like watching the MC turning from an angel to the devil.
Chang Min ran his hand through his hair, his fingers tangling a bit in his long locks as he thought about his story.
He remembered that his readers wanted an innocent MC who secretly had a dark side. So, he gave it to them.
Now, he regrets it. Well, Ye Xun is making him regret a lot of his stories.
"I am playing the MC, aren't I?" Chang Min asked, pointing at himself.
Ye Xun hummed, "Don't you always?"
Chang Min covered his face; how do I play like a wolf in sheep's clothing? Or should I say an incubus acting like an innocent person?
Then Chang Min removed his hands when it hit him, he rarely plays like the MC, so it shouldn't be a problem, right?
"This time, I think you should act out some lines of the MC. You need to get more into it, Chang Min." Ye Xun spoke like he read Chang Min's mind.
"But, Ye Xun, some words the MC says after he is corrupted is too embarrassing." Chang Min looked to the side, covering his red cheeks.
Ye Xun thought he looked adorable. "You wrote the story, didn't you? So, it shouldn't be a problem saying the words you wrote."
Chang Min shook his head, "There is a difference between writing it and having to speak it out loud! Ah, my poor innocent mouth."
Ye Xun's eyes darkened as they fell towards Chang Min's lips. Chang Min, unconsciously, always left himself open for Ye Xun to say inappropriate things. So, he repeated the words of the ML from the story that is perfect for this moment.
"Once I finish with your mouth, it will no longer be innocent."
Chang Min froze, his whole body turning red as it felt hot. "Y-Ye Xun," his voice wavered, "you need to wash your mouth out with soap."
Ye Xun laughed, "You're cute, Chang Min."
Chang Min picked up a napkin, crumbling it into a ball before throwing it at Ye Xun. "Shut up, you idiot."
"Let me take you out somewhere nice." Ye Xun changed the topic.
"Where? Don't you have work?" Chang Min asked.
"I do, but later on. I still have time to take you somewhere."
Chang Min hummed, noticing that Ye Xun did not answer his first question, "But where do you want to take me?"
Ye Xun stood up, taking their empty plates, "It is a surprise. Find something fancy to wear." He walked to the sink to put up the dishes.
Chang Min watched Ye Xun for a while, wanting to push the question, but decided not to. Instead, he stood up, walking back to his room as he hoped that he had something fancy in his closet.
Ye Xun drove Chang Min to a fancy, expensive restaurant called La'Caure. Chang Min bit his lip as he looked at the restaurant when Ye Xun parked, and they got out.
Grabbing Ye Xun's sleeve, he caught his best friend's attention. "Ah, I am nervous, Ye Xun. Isn't this place a bit too much?"
Ye Xun shook his head as he removed Chang Min's hand. He intertwined their fingers instead, "No. There is barely anybody here since they only allow certain types of people inside. So it is perfect for you."
"But, what about the prices here? The restaurant looks expensive." Chang Min responded.
Chang Min's parents have money, but he would never say they are rich. Instead, they were more of an upper-middle-class family.
"It isn't a problem, Chang Min, trust me." Ye Xun reassured him.
Chang Min nodded, trusting Ye Xun. Although, he wanted to ask all the questions going through his mind.
Ye Xun said that the restaurant only allows certain people inside, so he wondered about Ye Xun's family. Because even though Ye Xun is working a high-paying job, it still shouldn't be enough to let him in this place.
So, who is Ye Xun's family? And are they powerful people?
Chang Min had so much he wanted to ask, but he always kept quiet because he did not know how Ye Xun might react to them.
Ye Xun opened the door to the restaurant as they walked in. He walked to the hostess stand, still holding Chang Min's hand, as Chang Min looked around.
The inside of the place was vast, beautiful, and shiny. Plus, Chang Min enjoyed the dark brown and gold color scheme going on.
A few transparent walls had water flowing down them, with pictures of grass surrounding them. It made Chang Min want to touch the walls.
And as he looked up at the ceilings, noticing that the chandeliers caused the shine from the lights reflecting off them.
Everything looked so clean, even the ground, as Chang Min could see his reflection. He moved more into Ye Xun, feeling nervous about touching something and dirtying it.
Ye Xun stopped at the hostess stand as the man behind it looked up. The man's face lit up as he recognized Ye Xun. He bowed, "Mr. Ye, it is good to see you."
"You too, Mr. T. I want to be seated in my old private room." Ye Xun responded.
Listening to the conversation and seeing how the host acted with Ye Xun, more and more questions continue to form in Chang Min's head.
Mr. T pulled out two menus, "If you would follow me."
They followed the man, walking to Ye Xun's old private room. As they walked, Chang Min noticed that there were more doors in the restaurant than public tables.
It made him wonder what kind of people came here if they had more private rooms than tables in open, public areas.
They stopped in front of a door as the host pulled out a key, unlocking it for Ye Xun. He held the door open, allowing Ye Xun and Chang Min to walk in.
Chang Min looked around, noticing that the room is plain with barely anything in it minus the vast booth-like table.
There is also a picture on the wall, but it looks torn, only showing a young Ye Xun. A hand on his shoulder could not get cut out without taking away a bit of Ye Xun's body.
They sat down as Mr. T put the menus in front of them. "Your server will be here shortly." Then, Mr. T bowed one last time before walking out and closing the door behind him.
Chang Min swallowed and bravely commented, "Well, this seems mysterious."
Ye Xun opened his menu, putting his arm on the table as he leaned his head on it. He stared at Chang Min, his eyes giving a dark, dangerous glint that made Chang Min shiver in a very inappropriate way.
"Well, I hope you like mysteries." Ye Xun's voice sounded deep and heavy. Almost like someone in bed doing something that Chang Min did not want to think about.
Chang Min felt like an error message appeared in his mind because his brain decided to shut down. And his heart is moving so fast; he wondered if he is running or still sitting.
Ye Xun is going to kill him at this rate.
Who is Li Wei? Who is Ye Xun's family? Furthermore, who is Ye Xun, really?
