Chang Min willed away his blush, trying to find something to say in reply to Ye Xun's words. But, before he could, the door opened as the server walked in.
The server was beautiful.
The server had the aura and grace of a model or movie star. Chang Min could not help his eyes following her because her presence called for it.
She had long wavy navy blue hair, brown eyes, an oval-shaped face with heart-shaped lips, and a button nose; she also had a mole under her lip.
Chang Min wondered if all the servers looked like her while carrying the same aura.
Then, Chang Min heard a growl and a slamming sound on the table that made him jump. He shook a little, almost regressing to when he was a kid living with his uncle and aunt until he saw that the noise came from Ye Xun.
Ye Xun glared at the server, looking completely pissed off. "Li Wei, you have a lot of nerve showing up here."
"Oh, come off it. Your house is near this area, and I only came out for some breakfast, but I heard you were here. So, I had to see for myself." Li Wei shrugged.
Chang Min blushed a little, feeling guilty that he had mistaken the woman for a server. But then again, the host did say the server would be here shortly.
He wanted to apologize, even though he didn't speak his thoughts out loud, but stopped himself as he let the name Li Wei wash over him.
Looking at the woman more closely, Chang Min frowned. So, this is Li Wei? She looks way better than me, almost complementing Ye Xun.
He quickly shook his head, wondering why this bitter feeling started eating away at him.
"Get out." Ye Xun told her, interrupting Chang Min's thoughts.
"Why? Am I interrupting a date?" Li Wei turned towards Chang Min, looking him up and down before smiling. "Not bad. Who knew you love fucking males, and a cute one at that? Is this the bitch you are always with?"
Chang Min moved more into himself. He wanted to say that they are only best friends, but he did not like how the woman stared at him. He felt uncomfortable.
Ye Xun took a deep breath, trying to control his anger, "Li Wei, I will have you kicked out of here and banned for life if you don't leave."
Li Wei looked back at Ye Xun, glaring at him, "You cannot do that. I own this building."
"No, you don't. I do."
"My father married your mother, meaning I own this building too."
Ye Xun darkly chuckled, "No. My father owned this restaurant and left it to me, not my slut of a mother. Meaning you have no claim on this building. So, get the hell out or get banned from here."
Li Wei's face turned red, either from embarrassment or anger. She went through her pockets, taking out a key as she threw it at Ye Xun. "Take care of your fucking cats. You lost your sitter, asshole."
She walked out, stomping her foot along the way. Li Wei tried to slam the door close to make her point but couldn't when the server finally appeared.
Ye Xun took one look at Chang Min before waving the server away. The door finally closed, leaving the two alone.
Chang Min did not want to be here anymore. Honestly, he wanted to go home. Ye Xun stood up from his seat before sitting next to Chang Min.
He wrapped his arms around Chang Min, pulling him in. Chang Min rested his head on Ye Xun's shoulder. "Are you okay?" Ye Xun asked. His voice sounded soft and kind, unlike when he spoke to Li Wei.
Chang Min shook his head, trying to get rid of his discomfort from earlier. "I don't wish to seem selfish, but I want to go home. I guess I am still not that great with being out."
Chang Min tried to laugh at the end, but it fell short.
Ye Xun ran his hand through Chang Min's hair, "It is fine; I don't feel like eating here anymore too. We can go."
Chang Min bit his lip. He still felt guilty for asking Ye Xun if they could leave. But, the whole conversation when Li Wei entered the room left him uncomfortable.
And every time Chang Min grew uncomfortable, he wanted to go home and hide from the world for a while.
"Thank you," he muttered, "maybe we can try next time?"
"Okay. Anything for you, Chang Min. You know that." Ye Xun responded.
They stood up, leaving the room as Ye Xun went to the host to talk about something real quick. Chang Min waited by the door, keeping his hands to himself.
He wanted to lean on the door but still did not feel comfortable touching everything around the restaurant.
Chang Min thought about what happened earlier. He learned a bit about Ye Xun, like that this restaurant is apparently his and Li Wei is his step-sister.
Also, if this restaurant is Ye Xun's, then that must mean his family is wealthy. Chang Min does not care about it; he would still be Ye Xun's best friend if he were poor.
But, it is interesting to hear something new about Ye Xun, even though he did not learn it under reasonable circumstances.
Ye Xun walked over to him, finishing up with the host as he grabbed Chang Min's hand, squeezing it. "Hey, are you okay?"
"Uh," Chang Min leaned into Ye Xun, resting his head on the man's shoulder so that it can muffle his question a bit, "c-can I know a-about your family?"
They knew each other for twenty-one years, and not once did Chang Min ask about Ye Xun's family, even though he always wanted to.
He wishes to know about Ye Xun but always fears Ye Xun leaving him when he does.
But, this time, Chang Min could not stop the question that he wanted to ask for years from slipping from his mouth.
It was silent for a while, causing Chang Min to look up and open his mouth once again. He wanted to take back what he said.
But Ye Xun used his free hand to cover his mouth, "Wait a few seconds longer."
Chang Min nodded his head, blushing a bit from how intense Ye Xun's eyes were.
Ye Xun let his mouth go.
They walked out, going to the car as Ye Xun decided to take them to a fast food place with a drive-through before dropping Chang Min at home.
Chang Min grabbed the car door, getting ready to walk out when Ye Xun grabbed his arm, pulling him back.
Before he could ask what Ye Xun wanted, he stopped himself as he realized how close their faces were.
Their faces have been close many times before, but Chang Min felt nervous and self-conscious for some reason.
Ye Xun put his hand on Chang Min's face, softly touching it, "Can you come over to my place tonight?"
"Uh," Chang Min felt tongue-tied, "y-yeah."
Ye Xun smiled before moving towards Chang Min's ear and whispering in a seductive voice, "I can't wait until you know all of me."
He moved back as Chang Min's mind went straight to the gutter. Those were the ML’s lines from Kiss the Saint, but it sounded like he did not say those words because it is from the story.
It almost sounded like he was serious.
Chang Min did not know what to say, so he took his food bag and quickly got out of the car. He needed some air to breathe because his emotions are all over the place right now.
