Ye Xun and Chang Min finished eating as they spoke some more. After Ye Xun cleared the table, he grabbed Chang Min, pulling him towards his room. Chang Min didn't want to leave Coffee and Cream, but he was also curious about what Ye Xun wanted.
Although, a blush did make its way towards his face as his mind instantly went to the gutter. Thinking back, Chang Min used to sneak into Ye Xun's room during high school, and not once did he notice a mansion.
He never honestly entered Ye Xun's family home. Instead, Ye Xun told him to sneak in from his window, showing him how and where to do it. Plus, it was always dark when Chang Min snuck over and when he left.
So, maybe that is why he never noticed how the house looked, or Ye Xun could have been in a guest home since his family is wealthy?
Ye Xun opened his room door, pulling Chang Min towards his bed as he sat him down. He noticed Chang Min stuck in his mind, not even detecting that he put him on his bed.
Chuckling, Ye Xun thought how defenseless Chang Min was.
He waved his hand in front of his face, "Chang Min, what has you so deep in thought?"
Hearing his name, Chang Min broke out of his thoughts, looking up at Ye Xun with a confused expression. "Huh?" He tilted his head, not fully hearing Ye Xun's question.
Ye Xun's lip twitched as he could not help himself but move close to Chang Min, caging him in as he put his knee on the bed. His knee dipped the bed down a bit while his hands clenched the sheets, stretching his arms on both sides of Chang Min.
His face was close, so close their breaths intertwined, almost synching with each other. But Chang Min started breathing faster than him, his heart racing as he stared into Ye Xun's darkened eyes.
The intensity in them almost made it hard to remember how to breathe.
" Chang Min,” his name sounded like a breathy moan falling from Ye Xun's lips, "you're so unguarded, not noticing that I put you on my bed. I could have had my way with you before you started paying attention again.
"Or is that what you want, for me to have my way with you?"
The last line was something the ML said to the MC in Kissing the Saint. But, Ye Xun had it sounding more enticing, downright tempting to the point of Chang Min's eyes becoming hooded.
He wanted to think that maybe he should rewrite his story and have his ML sound more like Ye Xun to get his readers flustered like him. But, the main thing in his mind was where his eyes dropped to—Ye Xun's inviting lips.
"Ye Xun." Chang Min whispered, his eyes not once leaving Ye Xun's lips; it was almost like Chang Min wanted to tell a secret.
Forget about playing a role; both thought it would be easy to close the distance between them. All Chang Min and Ye Xun needed is one of them moving closer to where their lips would touch.
The heat in the room picked up, noticing the underlay of tension starting to stream out of them both.
Ye Xun slowly leaned forward; Chang Min did the same as his mind went blank. The only thing in their sights were each other's lips. And they are so close, one more movement, and their lips would touch, bringing an even crazier heat to the room.
But, before either could have the taste of each other on their lips, a meow sounded from the door.
Hearing the noise broke them out of their trance as Chang Min moved back so fast, he ended up lying on the bed, hitting the back of his head against the mattress.
Ye Xun internally cursed, sharply turning his head towards the door to see Coffee staring at them. He stared them down, meowing once again with more inflection, trying to convey he was hungry.
Sighing, Ye Xun moved off the bed, running his hand through his hair as he tried not to move his fingers towards his lips. He was so close to kissing Chang Min. If it weren't for Coffee, it would have happened.
Another meow resonated in the room, causing Ye Xun's left eye to twitch as he frowned, "I got it already, Coffee. I am coming."
Then he turned towards Chang Min, who flipped on his stomach to cover his face on the bed. He could see how red Chang Min's ears were and felt his frown turning upright.
"I'll be right back; I'm going to feed Coffee and Cream real quick." Ye Xun told him before walking out with Coffee falling behind him.
Chang Min could hear the fussing meows following Ye Xun out the door. Once he knew he was alone in the room, Chang Min screamed into the mattress as he moved his head left and right, rolling his body with the movement.
His face laid completely red as Chang Min wanted to die right then and there. His stomach filled with butterflies, while his face looked a bit panicked. I almost kissed Ye Xun! Chang Min screamed in his head.
Moving from shaking his head, Chang Min started hitting it on the bed as his screaming stopped. What happened to his straightness? A straight person doesn't want to kiss their best friend and maybe do more! Chang Min continued to yell at himself.
His head started to hurt from him consistently hitting his head on the bed. Finally, Chang Min stopped, lying his head down, almost suffocating himself as it was hard to breathe in the position he was in.
Chang Min laid there, wondering where everything went wrong. They are best friends! It shouldn't be like this; acting out scenes with him shouldn't have brought them to this point.
But, here they were. Chang Min and Ye Xun almost kissed each other.
Chang Min picked his head up, finally taking in air as his nostrils flared a bit. Then, finally, he sat upon his knees, staring at the wall before slapping his face.
His body tensed from the sound and sting as his cheek started to turn red from the abuse. Chang Min's eyes turned determined as another thought entered his mind, keep control of yourself; this was nothing, only the atmosphere. Yes, I blame the atmosphere.
After coming to that conclusion, he nodded his head, turning around to face the door as Chang Min was ready to face the world.
But, at the exact moment, Ye Xun came back into the room, causing their eyes to meet as Chang Min finally grew his confidence back.
Chang Min's eyes automatically fell to Ye Xun's lips before his face turned red once again. His heart started to pound at a fast pace, while his stomach felt funny. He quickly grabbed Ye Xun's pillow, throwing it at the man, "Stupid, Ye Xun, this is all your fault!"
Forget the atmosphere; looking at Ye Xun now tilted his whole world.
Ye Xun let the pillow hit him as he stared at Chang Min's flustered face. His lips twitched as amusement filled his eyes; he tried to stop the laugh from coming out, but it was too late.
His laughter slipped out, filling the room as he bent down, picking up the pillow. "What did I do?"
Chang Min turned back around, grabbing another pillow as he stuffed his face into it. "For being an idiot." His words were muffled by the pillow.
Ye Xun moved over to Chang Min, setting the pillow back on the bed before getting on it. He wrapped his arms around Chang Min from behind before whispering in his ear, "Then tell me what I can do to make up for it."
Chang Min's body flared as he bit his lip to cover any reaction from the seductive voice speaking in his sensitive ear.
An incubus.
That is what Ye Xun is.
He is an incubus that came down to kill Chang Min with his tempting words.
Ye Xun originally brought Chang Min to his room to show him his secret box that contained pictures of his father and stuff from him, but he forgot because he loves teasing Chang Min.
