Despite him, never be able to fly as far as any normal angel can do. He was still grateful. That at least, he still can use it for short-distance flying, without any pain racking his body.
The whole place was surrounded by different types of gigantic fruit-bearing and flowering trees that were just starting to bloom.
It looks a little bit dark inside being covered by gigantic trees. No one will ever think that it was habitable. That hidden beneath the thick man-made forest was a huge marvelous mansion.
Walking down the path. Both sides of the path walk are covered with soft grasses and different types of flowers. From known flowers to wild ones. A variety of Roses, Gardenias, Forget me not, Jungle geraniums, White angels, and wild herbal plants littered everywhere. There are also some giant indoor plants like Anthurium, Giant sensation, Philodendron, and Palm trees, spread alongside the giant trees.
Vines were hanging like curtains on the roof of the path walk. Rock formations completed the mini forest to have a unique Fairytale-themed landscape.
Enjoying the fresh aromatic breeze that refreshes his body from the heat of the summer.
He then proceeds to pick some herbal plants that he's going to use for lunch.
"Hmmm... Where could my rosemary be?"
Upon reaching the estate, he has been living for a decade, he still couldn't help getting mesmerized by his creation.
Callum's mansion is a three-storied building that is inspired by the "Hanging Garden". With different colored Bougainvilleas blooming beautifully, acting like a fence surrounding the mansion's balconies. A not-too-small pond enough to accommodate twenty Koi fish, located at the bottom right corner accentuating the grand staircase, and from the artistic grand marble staircase towards the massive antic twin door. His paradise along with his mansion's exterior is a perfect Obra Maestra.
With how much detail he puts into creating his dream haven. How much more the interior of the house!
Eyes glittering, chest swelling with pride. He sauntered up the entrance's grand staircase like a king. Twin door opening to welcome its master.
And it did not disappoint. The inside of the mansion is truly a sight to behold. From the moment you step inside. You'll be greeted by a wooden grand staircase made by Narra trees. Shiny enough to see your reflection. A roof that looks like a massive art canvas painted by well-known artists, a crystal chandelier in the middle lights the place. The floor is covered with well-polished marble tiles. A perfect mix of marble and wood interior design. Looking past his expensive sala set that is facing the fireplace. On an elevated stage at the corner of a relatively spacious terrace, a grand piano is situated facing the ocean in full view. And on the right side is a big indoor infinity pool...
His musings were interrupted by the buzzing of his phone.
"Hello?" He answered happily.
"Cal, We're about to head home in an hour!" Aren said, squealing excitedly.
Callum laughs hearing Marcus hitting Aren's head for squealing like a girl before hanging up.
Shaking his head in exasperation. His friends are such a clown sometimes.
Going straight to his well-maintained luxurious modern kitchen. He then proceeds to busy himself with cooking for six people.
While cooking his mind wanders off. How he was living a good life even though he was just a mere freelance photographer.
Despite his past struggles, his naivety towards the world brought him so much suffering. Still, everything went fine in the end.
Getting stuck in this realm is not that bad at all.
Speaking of his friends.
Aren is an elf and his lover Victor is a Vampire. Marcus, his other friend is a Damphir, and his partner Saru, a Werewolf.
And for the second time, his inner monologue was interrupted by his phone.
MESSAGE:
Alec: I will be home in an hour.
Callum: I'm preparing the food now, take care. See you soon.
Alec: *kisses your lips*
Blushing, he puts his phone back in his pocket.
Oh! And by the way, my beloved lover is a Nephalem.
