My unwillingness to find a mate and to listen to people just because of their rank is well-known throughout the pack. When I listen to them it’s always “You will change your mind when your parents find you a pretty one”, “You are going through a rebellious stage, I thought only humans had them” and things like that, but was always resorted is that I am mostly doing that to go against them when it doesn’t make any sense. When I try to argue with them they don’t even have any argument and I tried for a while to avoid them as much as possible.

With me being me, the beta’s only son and with such a reputation, I was also well known.

And to say the least, not in a good way.

When I am surrounded by people, it’s not rare for me to hear them whispering suddenly between each other, some are more discreet than others. Some don’t even bother trying to be discreet.

I suspect I must be one of their favourite gossiping subjects. What they didn’t know was that sometimes their own kids were doing worse without them knowing.

People were more or less bothered by my ‘oh so bad behaviour’, for instance, Ergil’s parents would fit in the ‘pretty bothered team’ and I am being way too kind by saying it this way.

They never dare say anything to me, maybe because I am close with the beta and the alpha or maybe they couldn’t care enough about me, but if Ergil was doing only half of what I am doing they would have killed him.

What is pretty disturbing is that I am not sure how exaggerated my claim is.

As of yet, Ergil had never done anything considered bad by common morals, but they still find a way to criticize everything he does, the way he dresses, the way he eats, the way he has gained weight…

I don’t think the others know, Ergil only told me.

Sadly, I am not sure how much he has told me.
