Altair Onder de

Chapter 4

Chapter 4

Aug 30, 2021

Altair felt that the voice came from the knights training. Altair looked at the flag with Duke Onder de's family crest flying above the tall fortress that looked the same as the one he had seen earlier in the bathroom.
On top of the fort there is a guard post guarded by several people, complete with armor and weapons they carry such as swords, as well as bows and spears.
Mary and Altair tried not to hear the screams. Then came the voice again.
“At least the status of an illegitimate child fits perfectly with a servant.” said someone with a large body and a bald head, he was the commander of the troops.
People started laughing out loud.
"To think that taste will indeed follow the line of descent." said another.
Altair approached them. What make he instinct him suddenly angry. Was it because Claretta hated men, or was it because the owner of this body felt like he was being insulted. Altair felt sure that he would be able to defeat them all.
Altair picked up an iron sword instead of the wooden sword normally used for sword practice at random, which was located on the table, where there were also several other weapons.
Such as arrows, bows, shields, armor and much more. Mary who didn't move from where she was standing just watched from afar.
Hope her cousin doesn't experience anything terrible.
"Mens get things done with a sword, not with an argument." said Altair.
Another reason Altair invites people in front of him to a duel, because Claretta wants to see how the male body reacts in getting things done in an emotional state.
Taking advantage of a disgusting male body. However, there is a sense of compassion with Altair.
What's even more heartbreaking is that Altair has never once met the mother who gave birth to him. Making Claretta feel sorry for Altair's figure.
In the novel, Altair is a character who likes to play with many beautiful women, both from the nobles and ordinary people in the Kingdom of Rhodes.
It was surprising that all the women he had slept with had not once protested or sued him and Claretta knew the reason she had discovered this morning.
“A person who is only a burden and born into a respectable family invites the commander of the mage knight army to a duel. Whereas they will not even care about his death." said the commander as he stretched out his arms as if everyone there listened to every word.
"Alright, let's get started." he added again.
The commander walked over to the table where Altair took the sword. Walking haughtily and twirling the sword as if it were just a child's toy.
Altair is getting ready.
The sun was hot, making the two people who were in the middle of the field to duel begin to recall.
People who didn't participate in the fight looked for a place to take shelter and watch the game progress.
“The rule is who hits the opponent first and gets hurt. He is the winner.” said the commander.
Altar answered with a smile on his lips.
They ran towards each other. Altair attacks on the right side of the opponent's temple, Altair's attacks can be read and avoided easily. His experience as an army commander made him not easy to defeat.
Underestimating Altair's power. The young Altair who had never even used a sword to fight and was currently dueling the knight commander.
The commander also attacked him blindly, trying to give up on Altair's chest. Altair also dodged the commander's sword attacks with ease by jumping backwards.
The sound of the sword blaring made the knights cheer. There were a few maids who stopped doing their job to watch the game.
During the fight Altair only tried to dodge, keep his distance and pay attention to every movement of the opponent's attack.
“Kid! If you just want to run then run, and I'll be happy to slash your leg so you can't come here again so easily.”
Altair tried to be consumed by his opponent's provocation. Altair's body felt hot, his breath began to pant. Is it because of the scorching sun?
"What's with my body? It feels hot, it's not because of the sun," said Altair, who was still trying to attack the troop commander.

Altair was starting to get a little overwhelmed, while looking very excited about the duel. From the match, his face showed a smile that wanted to slash Altair's body. Fast foot movements, making dust fly behind his body.
Altair tried to strike back at his opponent and once again his movements could be easily read by the opponent. They ran from one side to the other.
Altair's attacks are only focused on attacking vital parts, such as the neck, head or stomach.
Seeing Altair's attack movement aiming at the vital part of the troop commander also tried to dodge. Looks like the commander really enjoyed the duel between them.
They stopped breathing, their distance was only about the movement of a single swing of the sword. The gaze seemed to not want anyone to give in and no one was hurt between them.
The people who watched the match very closely, accompanied by endless screams. Duke Leon watched those who were fighting in the field from where the magic tower was.
After a few minutes they stopped to breathe. Altair and his opponent began to attack again, when their swords crossed each other making air and metal scraping sounds.
SRIING...
SRIING...
Small sparks also came out of their two swords. Altair pressed hard and pushed the sword with all his might.
Altair jumps back.
After the jump, Altair ran back to the opponent quickly, unfortunately Altair's foot slipped on a small rock. It hurt and made Altair finally fall because he was not balanced.
The commander who saw the opportunity quickly approached Altair and targeted his opponent's leg who was trying to stand up. Altair who was trying to stand up with a sword rebuttal in his left hand saw the commander's attack.
Mary who was watching from a distance was surprised. Until she covered his mouth with both hands.
The men in the squad shouted louder, as if they were enjoying the duel battle unfolding in front of them. Altair saw that his leg was really about to be slashed. It's over.
PANG!!
A magic protective circle surrounded Altair who was bent down trying to stand up. There was the sound of swords trying to redeem the protective magic circle over and over again.
Time and again the commander's sword couldn't slash even through the magic circle of the shield in front of him. The magic circle surrounding Altair had a thin rainbow of colors protecting Altair.
Everyone was shocked and asked where the shield came from. Altair smiled. He knew that from the age of 10, the potential successor to the 5 Mana sealers had to have the basic power handed down by their grandfathers.
The power of Mana they can only use to protect them from attacks by humans, as well as magical creatures and monsters.
The commander took a fairly safe distance after seeing the magic circle in front of him.
Knowing that, he also released Mana which covered his entire sword. The red color of Mana was like the smoke of a smoldering fire.
The commander looked at him with a grin.
The attack restarted, Altair who had stood up again attacked the troop commander.
The Mana sword that the commander used to pierce the shield made the protective magic circle undulate unstable
The swinging sword attack became stronger and faster, 2x than before.
Mana's sword swing this time, focused on slashing Altair's neck. Altair who saw this began to try to run away.
Jumping to dodge the attack, even with a quick move the commander almost attacked Altair from behind. Altair parried the sword with both hands.
The commander disappeared from sight, suddenly already aiming the sword above Altair's neck.
Altair's neck was scratched and bleeding, the sword that was in the commander's grip instantly stopped immobile.
The magic circle stopped the movement of the sword, and suppressed the commander's Mana power and cut the iron sword stuck between the gaps until it broke.
Seeing that his sword could no longer be moved, he finally let go of the sword in his hand.
The sound of a falling sword was heard making the people around start to fall silent without a sound.
Mary who could only hold her breath, tears began to flow down her hands.
