Altair Onder de

Chapter 14

Chapter 14

Aug 30, 2021

“A kid who haven't become Mana controller successors yet,” a small voice whispered.
Altair tried to find the source of the sound and found a creature hovering on his left shoulder. Has a human-like body with the body of a jellyfish with tasseled decorations like a young girl with her hair tied back.
"What are you?" asked Altair.
“You impolite, I am one of the gods' pets!” replied the little creature.
“Yes I know, but why are you so small?” asked Altair again.
"We are not like human animals, we are immortals I have lived before you," he said angrily followed by pointing at Altair's nose.
“What is a creature like you calling us?” he asked tentatively.
"Forgive me majesty," replied Altair.
Hearing the flattery from Altair the creature was blushing and delighted. His face turned friendly.
"Crystal Pino," he said.
"Altair Onder de," replied Altair happily.
“Like I said earlier, what do you need? What did you call me for?” asked Pino.
"You must know that I am not the owner of this real body,"
"Of course," said Pino.
"I want to go back to my original world,"
"I can't," he answered immediately.
"Why?" asked Altair.
“The previous owner was dead, but the god was generous so he could return to life to his original world but he refused.” replied Pino.
"Why?" asked Altair again.
"He's bored. Because it is constrained by demands to be the successor. Before he died, he was always a troublemaker and he died because of his own decision."
"And by now he must be in your other body."
Altair just listened.
"Life must be lived, not give up and die just like that. What's more, just for such a reason, he is acting ridiculous," Altair added.
"Hey, don't be mad at me. It's his own decision. It's lucky that the god was so generous in bringing him back to life and you didn't just die."
"If there was a way I could talk to him I would definitely hit him in the head," Altair said seriously.
"Of course you can!" replied Pino.
"You have to talk to the gods yourself, but humans like you can't talk directly," said Pino as he flew around Altair's body.
"You must speak through the Saintess,"
"Can't you help me yourself?" asked Altair.
"I just want to live comfortably, so don't give me orders,"
Altair took a deep breath.
"Thank you so much for helping me great,"
"No problem," said Pino.
Altair left Pino alone. Through the forest the magical creature followed him from behind Altair, annoyed that the magical creature had not returned to its place.
"Why doesn't the great one return to the side of the god?" asked Altair.
"I'm bored, since I'm already here I want to walk in the human world," he replied, still circling Altair's body.
"What if someone sees you?"
"Don't worry, I can only be seen by the person who called me," said Pino.
Finally they walked together, Pino sat on Altair's shoulder.
Altair's footsteps walked towards the holy shrine.
Already knowing the way to the holy shrine after reading the contents of the novel. The place was huge like a castle castle, all white in color with gold-covered edges.
Many people pass by the priests and people who come to pray inside the holy temple.
Altar walks the very wide staircase, and walked through each room.
“If you want, I can help you meet the Saintess in person.”
"Really?" asked Altar reassuringly.
"But you have to pay," said Pino.
"With what?" asked Altar.
“With your blood and Mana again,”
"Are you crazy? Just to call you, I'm struggling to death."
"That's because you haven't become a full Mana controller yet."
"I still can't even change my form to disguise myself," said Altair.
"Yeah, I'm just offering," said Pino.
They returned again to walk and found a group of people praying with the priest.
Each room they came to looked quite different status in the room to pray. You can see from the clothes they wear. Also decoration of places of worship.
After going through all the holy shrines, Altar did not find a figure that attracted him or that looked like a Saintess.
Night was almost here, making Altair almost give up.
"How?" asked Pino who was waiting for Altair's answer.
Altair stood on a garden wall where the evening sun came in between the large windows and the trees.
“Are you a lost person?” asked a priest, interrupting Altair's thoughts.
"No, I'm just from a faraway place and want to pray," replied Altair who still lowered his eyes to cover himself with the hood of the robe.
Because if one saw his true figure, everyone would immediately recognize that he was the son of Duke Leon. The hallmark of the Onder de family.
“Actually, this afternoon I just arrived and prayed, intending to return home soon. It's just that because of the wisdom of praying, it doesn't feel like it's already dusk,"
"I'm afraid to go back to where I came from, but I don't have much supplies to rent a place to stay," replied Altair who was trying to lie.
"We are here to provide a place for people in need,"
"I'm an outsider, is it okay to stay in this holy temple?" asked Altair doubtfully.
“God doesn't look at him from Rhodes or not. Since he is All-Merciful to all, everyone should have god-like qualities,” replied the priest with a smile.
The priest escorted Altair to a resting place where it was comfortable and clean, and only simple things were seen.
"If you're hungry, we also provide a soup kitchen for guests,"
"Thank you very much," replied Altair.
The priest left Altair and closed the bedroom door.
"Tch, no money?" Pino teased.
"You know how much money it takes to be able to summon me?" said Pino.
"You already know you're still blackmailing me."
"I can't possibly stay with a person like this it's so crowded outside,"
"I'm tired and hungry." said Altair who was annoyed.
Altair left Pino alone. Shower and eat in the communal kitchen then go back to the room and fall asleep immediately. Pino, who was determined not to go anywhere, was bored in a room that he thought felt cramped.
Pino went through the wall of the room. Seeing around the many foreign guests who came from various countries.
Take a peek at the kitchen filled with food. Pino went to a cupboard and a shelf for food made of wood. Contains fresh fruits and vegetables that Pino really likes.
There are strawberries, bananas, tomatoes and others. Pino which is the size of a sparrow sits on a banana. Eating temple food supplies.
The people in the kitchen didn't realize that their food supply was being eaten by him. Satisfied, Pino started to float again around all the places in the temple.
So unaware, he was already outside the holy temple. Pino went closer to a place with a gentle night wind, and the fallen leaves were flying in the wind.
It was as if Pino knew that he did feel familiar with the place.
Seen not far from him going in the castle castle. Pino saw, a small wooden house. Inside there is a lantern that glows from within.
It was dimly lit and warm. The wooden house was overgrown with vines that almost covered the standing house.
Pino flew closer to the wooden house. Peering from the window, he saw a figure reading a book. Pino entered through the glass window of the house.
Look closely at a man who is focused on the book in front of him. A figure with silver white hair, skin as white as snow with blood red eyes.
“So, this is the next Saintess candidate?” replied Pino.
Pino hovered over the man and looked at the book he was reading.
There are writings that only humans know, but pets like Pino cannot read.
"What is he doing?" Pino asked approaching the book that was on the table. The man's hand was also beside the book.
"I've heard from my fellow comrades, when someone is doing something like this, what is it usually called?" asked Pino who started to think.
Pino floated to several books piled up next to the man who was focusing on his book. Several times the sound of paper being turned over was heard.
“This is what pisses me off so much!” Pino grumbled.
"Why doesn't the god teach us anything related to this kind of thing," he said angrily.
Pino looked back at the book in the human's hand. Pino's body accidentally touched the back of a person's hand when he was about to turn a sheet of paper.
The person was startled and screamed a little as if he was in pain. Pino who was there was also surprised and immediately flew away leaving the humans and the house behind him.
The man was still holding the back of his hand and felt like he was being stabbed by a hot iron.
Ignoring the pain, he thought he might just get hit by a piece of wood on the table.
The man went back to reading the book which made him very curious.
Pino floated quickly and flew away feeling like he had done something wrong.
“I have to go and get away with this place.”
“If people like them be it Saintess or future Saintess knew that divine pets were roaming the human world. They will complain to the gods."
