The Disciplinary Comittee's Black Sheep

What I did was... (Part 1)

What I did was... (Part 1)

Sep 04, 2021

LINDA MAREFORT
My responsabilities as a teacher told me that the battle had came to an end when the light explosion happened, but my instincts as a warrior told me to wait. That's why I didn't turned down the magic barrier instantly and waited a little bit, if I was wrong, I was probably to be fired and the disciplinary comittee's would lost not just a member, but a vicepresident.

Making him fight with the oldest son of the Longslide family was something that seemed interesting at first, but after all he was a black sheep, even if the principal assured his abilities I wasn't sure at all. But I couldn't be more wrong. After the big explosion faded away and a couple of seconds passed I saw movement far in the disctance, and as expected it was made by Cassian. He didn't seemed to be hurt, it was a miracle he survived but being perfectly safe was something to talk about.

Since the beginning he was hiding his magic, but seeing him appearing far from the explosion and safe just could mean one thing, he had space magic. But if I could remember well, there was one space magic user on the comittee, so it was strange from the director to choose two users of the same magic, and what is more, making vicepresident the one who hasn't trained his abilities as well as the "normal" students of the academy.

While this thoughts run around my head Cassian disappeared again, but this time he hadn't been atacked first as before, no, and even with the barrier giving me a constant information flow about the position of the students I couldn't sense him, did he ran away?

I came closer to the barrier trying to see by myself and improve my senses, it was until I was close enough to the barrier that I saw him, and it was just because of the barrier that I could, if it wasn't there I'd never see him doing what he was trying. He was just walking as normally as any other day, but Johan didn't noticed him, he was no invisible cause I was seeing him, even if I was enhancing my senses with my wind magic he wasn't invisible. That wasn't the same technique he did first, because even with it, he was just walking, he wasn't capable of appearing far away. Was he a dual magic user? No, it couldn't be, he was a black sheep, at least it should be impossible for him to something like that. What was I missing?

And it wasn't just his magic abilites, but his combat abilities too. During the encounter with Johan he moved like a flash and all his attacks were perfect, not to mention that Johan never touched him, Cassian was overpowering Johan in every sense.

The battle was over since the start, and the only one who could know was Cassian, even when he was being attacked by that light-beams-storm he never seemed overwhelmed by the attacks. He was not just a great fighter but a great strategist too.

The battle was decided with a final kick that Cassian used in Johan's head, I had to turn down the barrier because Johan was very injured, the kick didn't just hitted him in the head, it also slapped his head against the floor, maybe he would have a fracture on his skull, he needed to be attended as soon as possible.

I used my air magic to went with both of them and check Johan injuries, he was alive, barely. By the other side Cassian was standing there, like if nothing had happened just a moments before. "What was that Cassian?". He looked up at me, "what I did was..."
