After Keith and the others calmed down I tried to talk to them. "What happened here?"
"A few days ago adventurers found out that an army of undeads was in the mountains." He answered my question without motivation. It's understandable, his friend died. "The adventurers prepared to fight them when suddenly a teleportation gate appeared. The undeads came through the gate and then this happened."
Me: "But why did they attacked this town?"
Keith: "I don't know." He looked like he was about to cry again.
Me: "I'm sorry for asking so many question."
Keith: "N-No it's ok. Everybody would ask this questions. I mean there's no reason for the monsters to attack the capital of a little country like Irahl." The capital? This town... was the capital of Irahl? I looked around the destoyed town. I saw adventurers extinguishing the fire and people crying in front of dead bodys.
"Hey Keith... who are you talking to?" An elf girl with long blond hair walked in our direction.
Keith: "It seems like he is a traveling adventurer. He helped fighting the undeads.
"I'm Shio. Nice to meet you."
"Y-Yes, nice to meet you. My name is Eyf." She looked very kind. Her still tearfull blue eyes looked at me. "A-Ah the big guy in the armor is Jamil and the girl is Lucy... and the elf on the ground... is Feyrith." The two looked at me.
Keith: "Sorry if I'm rude, but would you tell me what your rank is?"
Me: "My rank? I don't have one."
Keith: "What do you mean you don't have one? I thought you are an adventurer. Are you not registered in a guild?"
Me: "No I'm not." So there is an adventurer guild? "Is something wrong?"
Keith: "Ah no. I was just surprised because you look like an adventurer."
"The sword in your hand... is that a magic sword?" Lucy joined our conversation. She was the one who cried the most, even now she's still crying. "I can sense strong mana from it... but that's the first time I sense mana like this." She wiped the tears out of her face.
Me: "Yeah, it's something like a magic sword." She gave me a skeptical look.
Lucy: "The mana coming from you ist also strange."
Me: "I-Is that so?" What's with her?
Eyf: "Hey Lucy that's rude!"
Hellen: "Master. I can sense demonic mana in this town. I think the undead were teleported by a demon."
Me: "Can every demon use teleportation magic?"
Hellen: "No. Teleportation is part of the void magic. In order to be able to use void magic you have to master the shadow magic beforehand."
Me: "What do you mean?"
Hallen: "There are the 6 basic elements and the special elements. For example if you want to use ice magic you have to master water magic."
Me: "And what do you have to do to master it?"
Hellen: "Master a magic means using it without thinking. You have to automate the process of changing your mana's form. You should've noticed that sometimes when magic was used the person casting the spell shouted its name. That's because they mastered this spell. They're doing this to imagine the spell. There are also people who can do it without saying the name of the spell but that's very difficult. If you mastered every spell and have an affinity for the special element you can learn it. The special element is based on the basic element but some people who mastered the basic element weren't able to use its evolved form."
"Ehm are you ok?" Keith looked at me with a very confused expression.
"Ah sorry I was lost in thoughts." I looked at the town again and saw a man walking over to us.
"Keith have you seen the grandmaster?" The man's arm was bleeding. "I can't find him."
Keith: "The guildmaster disappeared? If that's true then our situation is more worse than we thought."
The man looked at me and bowed. "It's a pleasure to meet you my name is Laurence Gunther, I'm the Vice guildmaster of the Irahl main guild."
"Y-Yes nice to meet you, I'm Shio."
Eyf: "We should look for the guildmaster."
Laurence: "Thank you very much for the help. I don't know what to do if the guildmaster would disappear." Laurence bowed again. He seems like a kind person. Everyone except Lucy went searching for the guildmaster. For a moment I looked at her and then I followed Keith.
Alais D. Daimon's P.O.V
"Look at this humans!" I looked at the magic ball in my hand.
"What do you plan to do now master?" Ravi looked over my shoulder.
"Hmm? We should go back do Daimel and tell father about this."
"B-But didn't his majesty tell you to bring the undead king with you?"
"HAA?! I said we're going back to Daimel! We controled the undeads without the undead king so we don't need him right?"
"Y-Yes! I'm terribly sorry master!"
"You won't see your friend again if you keep talking back."
"I understand." I looked at Ravi and waited. "I-I'm sorry." She opened a gate and waited for me to enter it. After I left she followed me and the gate closed behind us.
Sarah's P.O.V
I sat on the ground with my back leaned against the wall, when I saw one of the guards coming to me. "Hey you!" He looked at me and I crawled over to him. "Good." He took a key and opened the cell. He entered and walked over to where the chains were attached to the wall. "You remember the guy who was here yesterday?" I nodded. "He will be your new master from now on. You should be happy, I heared he treats his slaves well." He giggled. "He really loves his slaves. He only chooses good looking slaves." He took the chains on the floor and stood up. "Go! I'll bring you to your new master." He looked at me with a disgusting smile on his face.
We walked through the dark prison-like hallway. When I looked into the cells I saw many people. Thay looked like humans but everyone had something non-human about them. One had cat ears, one a dog tail and another long pointy ears. At the end were long stairs. You could see a bright light at the end of it. I couldn't help but remember the moment I died when looking at it. I haven't seen any sunlight since then. I just hope my life becomes better now.
