Wright had work today, so she left first while Clair was on cleaning duty with Campbell.
“Hello, you’re Lydia…?”
“Yes, Lydia St. Clair. Please call me by Lydia.”
Campbell nodded, “Okay, and I’m Gabriela Campbell. If you don’t mind, can you call by Gabriela?”
“Sure, Gabriela.”
As they both smile away, “I’m glad that you have establish each other names but do get cleaning…” Sofia was busy doing some class work, only sitting a seat away from where the two had gathered.
“Sorry…” They muttered at the same time and went off to do their respective cleaning and by the time they were done, Sofia had already left.
Putting away the broom and dustpan, Campbell approaches Clair, patting her on her shoulder.
“…Lydia, do you want to go back together?”
Clair nodded, “Sure.” and as they made their way out of class, everything turned black and white, and they were sent to a domain. Both of them were change into their maiden dress while the cloak daemon fell to the ground.
“Strobial!”
Campbell catches the white cloak and clasp it in her hands, she took a few steps away from Clair.
“Lydia…? You’re a maiden?” and with her nod, Campbell hugs her daemon and retreated further back.
“Is there something wrong with your daemon?” Clair walks forward but stops as Campbell flinches away.
“Leave Strobial alone…!” but the cloak turns to her and muttered, “That light is not your enemy, Campbell. That maiden can’t be the one that made this.”
“Sorry, I thought…” Clair made her way to her, “It’s okay, can I see Strobial?”
She nodded and showed her palm with her daemon on it, its cloak was in tatters.
“So, you have met the first already, as expected she still here.”
While Clair had her hands clasp and was gathering blue aura, “First…? Are talking about Lies?” opening her hands, she passes her aura to white cloak.
“Thank you, and yes.”
“Are you also…”
Nodded, the daemon and with its white cloak mostly back to normal, it floated to Campbell shoulder.
“Strobial…!” she leans her head onto the cloak hood and then turn to face Clair, “I can’t thank you enough, Lydia. Thank you.”
But at the same time, cackling child laughter echoed and with a single red beat pulsing through the veins. The atmosphere changed, from one of gratitude to a gruesome red. The childlike monsters began to form out from the walls and floor, and they quickly crawled their way to them.
“I’ll use your flames again.” The cloak turns around and covered the corridor in golden knifes that were burning in a blaze, setting the childlike monster in flames as they came in contact with them.
“But Strobial–”
“I’m alright. So, hurry.” They ran in the other direction from the golden flames with Clair in the lead, making their way down stair and to the courtyard.
The two continue to run across the empty redden courtyard, where the maple trees stood bare and as they pass by the one large towering maple tree. An elongated hand, reached out from the ground and grabbed Campbell’s passing leg.
Thud.
She falls flat onto the ground with the monster hand still holding onto her leg while its slowly dragged itself out of the ground. Campbell stretch her hands out to Clair but before she could say a word.
“Gabriela…! Are you, okay?” as she sliced the monster hand and freed Campbell, grabbing onto her hand.
“Hurry, let’s go.”
Campbell nodded and they went off while the monster brought itself out of the ground, turning itself red and reforming its other arm into a blade. It dashed forward and swung its bladed arm, Clair spun around while she held Campbell’s hand.
Bringing her around and as she let’s go, “You go ahead, I’ll be right behind.” And strikes the swinging bladed arm.
Campbell turn to glance at Clair, who’s facing the monster head-on alone while she continued to run through the courtyard and eventually, she reaches the gymnasium.
And there it was, the gate along with grotesque red crystal heart that was sitting in the centre of the stage. She stops just as she passes the entrance of the gymnasium, waiting for Clair but then an eerie childlike laughing was heard with glasses breaking along with them.
“Huh!? Lydia…!” She turns back but as she does, the laughing got closer, Campbell stopped in her track with her face paler than before.
The cloak behind her, floated in front, “Isn’t she your friend…? If you want to go, then let’s go. I’m with you.” She nodded and shook her hesitation, and stepping forward and she leaves the gymnasium.
“Strobial…!” a set of blazing golden knifes floats around her, and as she swipes her hand across, sending them flying.
While the cloak, “Leave it to me.” Summons much larger golden knifes and cuts the courtyard, giving Clair a way to reach them.
“Lydia…!”
