It was like time stood still as we gazed into each other’s eyes. I couldn’t help it, I was captivated by his beautiful eyes. The sunlight flashed by his face which showed off the most defined, sharp features I had ever seen. When the sunlight shone on his eyes, they sparkled like diamonds. He is gorgeous, I don’t deserve to look at him. In fact, I dont even deserve to be in his presence but I can’t bring myself to look away away from him. He is the most handsome guy I have ever seen, he looks like an adonis not that I’ve met one or know what one looks like but if they exist then he would be one. I thought Hugo was really handsome but this guy is something else.
I was speechless, I didn’t know what to say. If I spoke I would probably make a fool of myself, I dounbt I could form words in front of him. I wonder who he is. I knew I had to say something, we couldn’t just stare at each other no matter how much I wanted to. He probably is with someone and must think I am weird for staring at him but he’s staring at me too. Why isn’t he saying anything? Is he waiting for me to say something? Maybe I should say something.
“Hi,” I managed to say some while later. The Merman didn’t say anything. I saw his lips move but I heard no words. Maybe he doesn’t speak English. I was about to ask him if he understood me but then he gasped, his eyes closed and he fell unconscious. I sighed. What am I going to do now?
I stood there contemplating what to do but in the end I had no choice but to take him home with me. He was unconscious, I couldn’t leave him in the sea or something, he wouldn’t make it unless he woke up but that didn’t look likely anytime soon. No I had to take him home without anyone seeing him because who knew what they’d do to him. I don’t like fish but I wouldn’t want one tested on and tortured. Plus this fish is half human. I can’t let anything like that happen to him, I have to help him.
With my decision in mind, I made sure the Merman was still alive by checking his wrist for a pulse. Thankfully there was a pulse. I didn’t want to move him in case his condition worsened so I tried to cover him the best I could with the other fish, I left his face alone so he could breathe before I turned the boat around and headed home.
When I arrived back, no one was around and I managed to get the Merman home without anyone seeing or so I hoped. It wasn’t easy carrying the Merman. I put my jacket over him and put the hood on his head, I covered his tail with a fish sack and somehow managed to drag him inside the house by holding him under the arms with my arms around his chest.
Once inside my house, I was as quiet as possible to not alert Mum and Dad that I was home. I miraculously managed to get the Merman inside my room quietly. I locked the door and stared at the Merman while thinking what the hell am I supposed to do now?
